She got me checked right in and went over the paperwork that was required to be signed. She done offered me some water before my appointment. I was then called in by my therapist TJ. We spoke a little bit about my concerns and then he proceeded with the massage. I'm a huge fan of trigger point massages. He was fantastic at this type of Massage. TJ informed me that this was his specialty and it sure was. He worked on trigger points I didn't even know I had. I actually felt relief in my shoulders and neck immediately. Currently sitting in my car, feeling grateful for my impromptu decision to book a same-day appointment. There was one slot left for Jacob and I booked it (60-minute enhanced muscle therapy deep massage). I felt a lot of tension in my neck, shoulders, and lower back. During our consultation, I ask for additional focus on those areas. Jacob did just that. I'm in awe of how he managed to give me a complete full-body deep massage in just 60 minutes. The massage never felt rushed or as if an area was overlooked despite the attention and effort he put into the areas I had the most tension. This is a terrible Massage Envy location. I have been a member of Massage Envy for 4 years. I do NOT go to this location. My boyfriend and I moved to Boynton Beach and we decided to try this location since it is closer. I called to make an appointment for my boyfriend and was glad they could take him that afternoon just a few hours from when I called. The staff at this location cancelled his appointment last minute without letting him know. He was actually on the way to his scheduled appointment and noticed that he had a missed call phone from this massage envy location but no message. He called them just to find out why they rang him and he was told his appointment was cancelled. I called back to speak with the manager Amanda to explain what happened. She said she needed to speak with her staff to get some details and would call him back. No one from this massage envy ever called his back to show good customer service. Very unimpressed. Very stiff and unfriendly at the desk. No zen feeling here. First visit. Tons of paperwork and they need your drivers license. Why? Something mumbled about identity blah blah blah. That's right, I'm sending in a doppelgänger for my facial. Ridiculous Facial nothing special at all. Just a lot of rubbing of very oily greasy stuff. Walked out very disappointed. Skin looked exactly the way it did when I walked in. Not dewy or refreshed looking. I've had many many facials before. This didn't even come close. I understand they're a chain/franchise. This one? The change was handled in less than 10 minutes by the front desk. The ease of changing locations is greatly appreciated. I had my first massage with Will the other day. He was thorough and professional. He checked with me about any health issues and my preferences before starting. During the massage he asked for feedback and adjusted pressure as needed. I had the worst experience ever. I have never written a review negative or positive ever in my life but this one was necessary. I paid for a full body massage and she never once touched my arms, hands or shoulders. Not only that but the first half of the massage (where I am coming in to relax and relief the chronic pain I live in) she is drilling me with personal questions about my health conditions. Not in a way that benefits or helps the massage, just asking very personal questions and even giving unsolicited medical advice. I wanted to try and escape my medical issues and relax for an hour to myself and instead I was bombarded with questions that made me super uncomfortable and I didn't want to answer nor talk in a massage in general unless it's about pressure or comfort. The sad part is that she was a nice person, but it was just extremely stressful and unprofessional. Needless to say I will not be coming back and management didn't even make it right but giving me a discount or anything like that. It was not right, and will never be using massage envy again. I was in town visiting my aunt and she treated me to a hour and a half massage. I actually went to school for massage and get massages every few months. I had my appt with Marvin (guy with the long dreads)and honestly had one of the best massages I've ever had. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and really working on the issues I had. This Massage Envy is a RIP-OFF! My husband bought a gift card for me for $110 which they told him was good for 2 introductory massages. I got the first massage, which was fine, and then told them I would be back the following month for my 2nd massage. After I had the 2nd massage they told me that the price had gone up and I now owed them another $40. I told them that they cannot change the price once you have an agreement. They illegally charged my husband's credit card another $40. This was an unauthorized charge which we are now fighting. Booked an appt for 3 people for hour massages. It was a special occasion and the point was for all 3 people to get massages. The location messed up the appt and did NOT have 3 people to do massages however never said anything so the 3rd person sat in the waiting room for 35 MIN without ANYONE coming to say anything. When the other 2 people came out, they tried to apologize for their mistake but then proceeded to go ahead and charge me even though they messed up the entire special occasion and to add insult to injury left the person sitting for over 30 min without saying anything to them. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Massage Envy's membership. Cancellation is a nightmare! Just a bad deal all around. I signed up at the Canyon Town Center location while pregnant. After my first massage, guess what? Their only prenatal certified therapist left. So there was no one that could take me for a while. After my baby was born I wanted to schedule a facial and oh, well, they did not have a cosmetician available on Mondays and Tuesday! The only 2 days I had a babysitter. Needless to say that my sessions accumulated. After having my credit card charged for 12 months I asked for a cancellation and they still have the nerve to charge me yet another month or I would have to forfeit my accumulated sessions! The Canyon store owner is horrible. She definitely could learn some customer service skills. Just not worth the money and aggravation! You can get better massage and service somewhere else. This place is a ripe-off and unethical. I will report them to the BBB. Reason: I purchased 3 sessions within 3 months. The clerk told me to call her for appointments and then took my card. I called and made 1 appointment which turned out to be mediocre at best. As I was leaving I made my second appointment since I had paid in advance.. This session was slightly better but I did not get the total minutes promised. Again before leaving I had the clerk make my next appointment per my pre=paid agreement. The day before my appointment the clerk called to tell me they had scheduled my appoint outside my agreement window (by 2 days) and therefore I could not come in unless i wanted to pat for it. I explained that their clerk made the appointment for me and that she should have made it within my window, thus it was their fault.
