I just joined Massage Envy because of this club. I have had massages with Krystal and Rhonda, both of whom are very good working with my ailment. Strongly suggest both who are skilled. ALSO - after I joined, I then had a bad experience at the Boca Raton Massage Envy that is close to Towncenter [do not go there]. When I called to share what happened, the Delray location took care of my issue and resolved it. I really appreciate their care of this client. Avoid this location. The only reason I am not giving zero stars is because Robby is an excellent massage therapist and the one bright spot in an otherwise terrible place. My husband's massage therapist abruptly walked out 20 minutes into his appointment and he was simply told that the session was over and asked to leave--with absolutely no explanation. I later learned from the manager that the therapist had suffered a panic attack. No one communicated with my husband or me, and they still allowed me to pay, tip, and book future appointments before telling me there had been an issue. The entire experience was humiliating and handled with unbelievable unprofessionalism. My own massage was bizarre and disappointing. The therapist talked nonstop, had me doing breathing exercises, and spent nearly the entire 50-minute session working only on my back. It was anything but relaxing. The owner was dismissive and rude when I called to discuss our concerns. It is clear that ownership is not properly screening, training, and supervising the therapists they hire. Aside from Robby, the quality of therapists and customer service at this location has become unacceptable. After years as Massage Envy members, we are moving our business elsewhere. There are far better options in South Florida that treat customers with professionalism and respect. read more

The massage therapist was good and is a good person. However, the company is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. They offer you a free session if you sign up for an annual contract. Then they billed me for the free session! They give you a coupon for the free session that you cannot use for three months but if you lose it they won't honor the free session! I didn't lose it but even though I handed them the free coupon, they still billed for the free session! I called with COVID one day and cancelled my appointment to not infect anyone in the office and they billed me for not coming in with COVID! Another time, I was actually very sick but came in anyway to have the session and when I got there they said to go home and come back the next day if I felt better. They then billed me for the day they sent me home AND the next day even though I only got one massage! The manager of the office is rude and dishonest and has horrible interpersonal skills. You should not patronize a company that treats its customers in such a way. I feel badly for the therapists there who are very nice but their clients get cheated. read more

We have been members of various Massage Envy locations for many years and have had our membership at the Boynton Beach Congress Avenue location for the past year. We were on a one year contract there and are NOT renewing at this location due to numerous issues. We have experienced last minute cancellations of preferred therapists, a very noisy treatment room located by the front desk, a less than satisfactory treatment that caused me to walk out in the middle, and most of all a manager who has been unaccommodating on more than one occasion. When we explained that the noisy treatment room by the front desk was unsatisfactory we was told that there was no way to guarantee that I would not be put in that room again. When we suggested more recently that the manager should operate with the philosophy that the customer is always right we were told "Those days are over". When we declined to accept a substitute therapist at the last minute we were criticized severely. A treatment like this is a very personal thing and it takes a while to find a preferred therapist that one is comfortable with. The manager was not sympathetic to our feelings on this subject. What an amazing experience! After my last massage (not at massage envy) I was weary of getting another one after how uncomfortable I was during that session. Here I was welcomed with comfort, I was able to select the areas I wanted to focus on, was also able to select the areas that I am not comfortable with being touched. I just came there and we called on the phone to them to make a reservation and they said they could be two people in a room and now when we got there they said only one person can be. Horrible service and I don't recommend this place at all. There was a rude lady she looked lil she was upset and at and she kept staring at me weirdly, she had blondish curly hair with some highlights. I called and requested a transfer of 1 hr to my son in law as a gift in September. He used it three days ago in Orlando and when he arrived they told him he only had 1/2 hr transferred from me and he had to pay the difference. This is embarrassing . When I called today to inquire about it the rep said they could transfer another 1/2 hr to him. I asked if they could transfer 1 hr at no charge and she said the manager said no and I should have called when i realized it was incorrect. It happened three days ago at 9 pm. I just learned about it today. They could not transfer any more to him since it hasn't been six months. Not exactly the best customer service experience for me, especially when the incorrect amount transferred was their oversight. I would have liked to hear.... This place is clean and follows covid 19 protocol. I have a membership and have been coming for almost two years now. The music at every spa place is trash so I'm not letting that effect the rating. Bob Marley on repeat would be more soothing than Muzak with chirping birds...but I get it; that's supposed to be relaxing. I like a deep tissue massage and Enderson is the best at this place at that. He is strong and communicates well. Always asking if the pressure is good. He never makes me feel uncomfortable which to me is a big thing to say about a male masseuse when you're a female client. He's fun to chat with and after I leave I feel much better. He really helps me heal. Couples massage was very nice. DJ and Crystal were great therapist. Unfortunately, the bad experience came after we left from our massage. We were called back right after leaving as they said our card didn't go through. Went back double checked to make sure card went through and the staff told us we were all set yet again. Two hours later, we came out of a movie to have my phone blown up with 7 missed phone calls and 3 text messages. Then at 10 o'clock they called my boyfriends phone about the situation which we went ahead and paid again over the phone. Turns out it was processed on my card and something in the system kicked the payment back to automatically refund it. We thought it'd all be handled by that point but no. We were charged $85 instead of the $45. After calling back the gentleman said he assumed our $65 gift card was for $30 since we threw away the card after he swiped it the first time. Later we received a voicemail from the "manager" who was a shift leader saying they were just going to put the remaining balance on a gift card towards a free massage. After calling back to confirm- they alerted that they were trying to put what they overcharged us for on a gift card instead of refunding the money and it would still be short of the amount of the cost of a massage. They finally agreed to refund it as we were on the phone and it would be back in 3-5 business days. We went back in two days later to get a paper receipt and the shift leader available said there was no record of the refund being processed. She processed the refund with us and let the general manager know of the situation. She was the best support we had through the entire experience. Thank you, Destiny. What was supposed to be a relaxing date night turned into one of our worst massage experiences ever. She totally listened to what I said about where I need to be massaged and did it to perfection. Beware of Fees!! For starters my review is not a direct reflection of the staff at ME Boynton Beach but rather ownership/management. I have been a member of Massage Envy for close to 10 years now. My "home"store is located in Boca Raton, FL where I lived at time of sign up. The owner of this location is charging a fee / up-charge to any MEMBER receiving a service at this location who is not a "home" member of their location. This seems totally absurd to me. If someone purchased something 8 years ago, be it a home, a car etc. and the value has since gone up, you can't go backwards and now make that individual pay more. They are grandfathered and locked into the agreed upon rate at the time of contract. Now if the ME contracts have some sort of stipulation that any location can charge these fees, my question then is what is the advantage to me having been a member for this long? Why bother having a membership only to be charged "todays" rate assessed by 1 particular franchise operator. To assume that a client will be locked into their "home" store forever is ridiculous. People move and life changes happen - hence why you have locations all over to ensure services can be provided anywhere. I was advised to go back to my home store (inconvenient no longer close to my home) or pay the fee. As a customer I honestly feel completely pushed out, that they could care less about retaining myself (and many others - as several have stopped coming to this location and or cancelled due to this - check reviews and or with site team members who are not afraid to be transparent) I developed respect and comfortability with my esthetician and massage therapist - isn't that the objective? So much so that since my last appointment I have yet to receive a facial nor a massage as my objective is not to simply throw a tantrum and complain. It's to understand logistically as a consumer how this is a feasible business practice and why I should bother remaining a customer to ME if after my display of loyalty towards the company has rewarded me with added fees for my continued patronage or the option to inconvenience myself to drive to a location that only creates more of a hassle for myself. In my humble option the store owner can charge whatever she feels like to walk ins and new members- that's her prerogative. But as a long-time member I fail to understand why I would need to be assessed anything further than the membership I pay for monthly. My rate is my rate given when I signed up. Times changes - understandably so. However the terms of "get on board or get out" provided by this location is extremely off-putting and comes across as plain greed. Additionally, it's a complete disservice to the professionals who have since lost clients due to this practice. read more

Love the therapist I finally found hes great and I continue to go back just for him. The renovations are just weird. The counter is so tall I can barely see over. I'm short that counter is awful. Worse still is the front desk staff has always been aloof and rude this hasn't changed. They talk about other patrons as they leave. You're lucky to get a hello. I mean you JUST redid the entire place surely there is something you can make small chat over. Also, they lost the tranquility room. If this were based just on my therapist, I would definitely give 5 stars, but the entire experience is meh. Ive been going here for a few months. Therapist naked Enderson is amazing but since he was not available I was assigned Julienne. She was nice enough but I did not enjoy the massage! Her techniques were "jerky" even after I told her I had injuries. I left there in pain and still feel pain. I called but the person on the phone didn't really seemed concerned. Lesson learned- I should I opened my mouth during the massage for her to stop but didn't. A good therapist makes all the different. I can only say good things for the one therapist. read more

It was clear from the moment I walked in that he just wasn't interested in working . He asked me several times if I wanted to " fire" him. After I asked him to continue, he told me my muscles were too tight and that I needed to go and reschedule with another therapist . Isn't it his JOB to work on tight muscles and to accommodate the client's needs? What a joke. He is a person that DOES NOT belong in the client service industry period. Not a fan of this place. You can and should spend the same amount on a non-chain spa. Make sure you get there 10 minutes early to fill out a wellness form and truly specify how you want your massage. Somehow some people don't buy into Massage Envy. I am sold. We did get an annual membership and it does take a while to find the perfect therapist. With my messed up back, constant sore muscles from plain traveling and sitting at computers or dragging heavy boxes, I am so satisfied. I really do take advantage of my monthly free appointments, and even with the generous tips - it is worth it. I never did the math, but I do grab deals. This location has the sweetest, funnest, coolest front desk staff. They recognize us, interact with us. It is clean and welcoming. Always perfectly scheduled as well. The back is pleasant, silent and very private. What I do hate is sometimes I feel that they are very stingy with the time, the hour being a 55 minute, but it always gets cut a bit with prep, etc. However, I love this location. I have used them in different states and have not been as satisfied. I even tried the Boca location once as this location was booked and it was not as great. It's customer friendly, I once had a misunderstanding and they accomodated it with a discount and my therepist is truly terrific. It's a must. read more

Got a gift card to Massage Envy for my birthday. I held on it for dear life until I was in the area - thinking that the service would be better than my area. I was wrong. Walked into a staff of people complain about the patron that was suppose to be showing up later that day. It was so unprofessional that the conversations continued even after I walked in. Massage was pretty good. I went to sleep a few minutes in. It was like I blinked and was being woken up. Body felt brand new. I know some where I heard on the radio that they accepted walk in. That ad was lying or out dated. I called ahead and was told to come in. I come in less than 15 minutes later and told that there were no availability that day. Last attempt - I found the older woman at the desk on 3/21 to be the absolutely worst. I was actually taking my mom out for a surprise (a whole week early birthday celebration) of pampering. I was completely embarrassed when my mom overheard that "normal" ish. I knew better than to come here but the membership allowed so many benefits. I just have to assume my timing is bad. But the massages are great. *Actually had a membership at one point (first in Tallahassee) because the massage therapist are very skilled workers. It's the customer service and attitudes that suck. Last Minute Facial. I was in a need of a facial, called and they only had one opening yesterday. Of course, I said yes. Charity was AMAZING. One of the best facials I have had an a long time. The only down part was they seemed to be running behind but that was fine the front desk stayed on top of making sure I was seen ASAP. They all assured me that I will still have my full hour facial. After 2 attempts to change 2 negative massage outcomes, naturally I am fearful of subjecting my body to yet another excruciatingly painful experience, lasting over one week/7+ days, rec'd by one of the "better" massage therapists, therefore, ME would need to put thought into an offer that would remedy my situation & other clients similar to my bad experiences- Overall the 2 therapists encountered at ME, BB were substandard- 1 who took out their personal issues on my time and body followed by a seasoned therapist who knew better than to cause a client extended unbearable pain, leading me to sadly believe his action was deliberate. In any event, NO therapist should cause a client such unbearable PAIN and should be immediately discharged from service. All licensed therapists have been trained to avoid such issues, therefore dismissal for his actions of intentional determination should be managed accordingly and his licensed subject to review by the state licensing board. The BBB indicates the same commentary regarding therapists, rating ME on a nationwide panel as substandard. Can ME change this rating, certainly. I do believe they are making attempts to manage this concern, however, changes won't occur unless they begin at the root cause, with their therapists. ME must take responsibility for their therapists actions, by hiring within a more selective criteria at all if their locations. In conclusion, my only reasonable yet risky suggestion to remedy this matter is to attempt the 80 minute Full Body massage at a different location such as Boca Raton, who's therapists meet a more selective clientele who expect professional massage practices to be extended to them. Wow!!! Had a 60 min. deep tissue with Augustine and it was the best massage I've ever had. I typically go to spas for my massages but tried ME for a promotion they were having & I will most definitely be going back. Staff was friendly & helpful. Everything was clean & sanitary. I'm perplexed , in tears and and in utter shock from my experience. I have a membership , I work a lot and have not had the chance to use up all my sessions. I took a day off and booked a massage this am. It was awful !!! I felt burning in the back of my neck and on the shoulders throughout the session: when I got in the car i noticed nail scratching marks all over my neck , with two spots of broken skin. To make matters worse I gifted my spouse a session and booked him an appointment today as well . The called him right after asking for payment. I called the front desk in regard to both situations and I am appalled by the lack of customer service. Unbelievably disgusted and disappointed !!! I walked 2 miles (which isn't a big deal) for my 1pm appointment and checked in on my phone at 2 minutes past 1. I received my 1pm confirmation through text message. The young lady at the desk told me to wait in the lobby and Fran would be right out. Apparently from what I'd overheard, Fran had already packed up her things and was finished for the day but offered to take me for the remainder of the time. I refused the offer as my 50 minute massage would have turned into a 30 minute massage for the the price of a 50 minute massage. Needless to say, I won't be back. read more
