this was the worst experience I have had at massage green thus far. I have had my membership since 2013. I've been getting massages at least 1-2 times a month. tonight I had an appointment with the -- to get a facial. the actual facial it's self (while rushed) felt really good, and that is where the 2 stars are going; everything else.. was no where near acceptable. my appointment was at 7:30, I got there at 7:30 exactly. I payed for my appointment (because according to the girl at the front I didn't not have any free ones; even though I am pretty sure I had at least 1, but ok I paid.) and I went into the back room where you apparently wait for the therapist to come out & get you. I waited for 10 minutes before she came out & got me. She took me to her room & since I hadn't gotten a facial in a few months; she asked me a bunch of questions & told me to undress from the waist up and left. she did not come back inside & actually START on my facial until 7:50. She ended my facial at 8:28. when I got dressed & walked back out to the front the girl in the front was doing her make up at the front desk! she had a ring light up! And she was FaceTiming with someone when I walked out. when she saw me she said "oh sorry, I have to get ready!!" at this point I was so over being there I can not believe the management in this salon allows this kind of behavior. & how many other people don't get their full hour? for the prices you charge I'd like my full service time. I will not be returning to this salon & I will be sharing my experience with others. read more

Massage green is a great place. If you want a deep tissue massage, then Tracy is number one. No doubt about it. I've been a 2 year member strictly because of how awesome she is. I LOVE this place. I got a membership that is $40 a month and that includes an hour massage every month (definitely the cheapest I've seen anywhere). If you don't use the monthly massage it rolls over to the next month. I always make appointments with Rob. He is one of the best massage therapists I've been to (and I've been to a lot). I am moving to Chicago soon and I wish I could take him with me! I had one other person give me a massage there. I forget her name. The massage wasn't bad, but it wasn't spectacular either. My boyfriend and I decided to give this place a visit simply because it was the most affordable massage parlor we've come across. Also, it was our first massage. We didn't know what to expect, but hoped for the best, considering the low price. When we entered, we were hesitantly greeted by the receptionist... (No comment towards that). She asked our names, gave us a clip board with the info sheets and had us wait in the back while filling them out until it was time for our appt (we arrived 30 mins early). They played soothing atmosphere music which was very relaxing. At 4:01, my boyfriend's therapist came out and went over his info sheet, she was a bit weird, but nonetheless, nice and friendly. Mine joined us at 4:03, apologizing for being late. She was nice. They walked us to the room which was very peaceful and comfortable, after we undressed, they knocked on the door to assure our readiness. They dimmed the lights and began. My therapist hit every area i circled on the info sheet very well, especially my shoulders which were very tense. She place warms towels on my shoulders and back to loosen up the muscles while working on other areas in the meantime. The only complaint i have is that she could have worked on my feet a bit more. My boyfriend said he enjoyed his but wasn't gonna get a membership just yet. Though it was a couples massage, we barely spoke because it was so relaxing. Bottom line: it was worth $29.95, but not the $59.95 without membership. I don't know if i'll be considering the monthly membership just yet, i'll probably try a more "high end" parlor before i can rightfully judge. read more

I had called the place on Wednesday and booked an appointment for Saturday 5/1/2021, I never received a call or a text from them to confirm or cancel, when I got there they had no appointment for me, they canceled my appointment and gave it to someone they knew and they claim that someone called and canceled my appointment, I knew the lady name Madison was BSing when she said you canceled when we called to confirm then within the same sentence she said someone called I spoke with them, they had your voice and accent lol.. I never received a call from them and I never canceled as a matter of fact I took my son out of his game early to make it.. I needed this post recovery from a recent surgery, she canceled and gave the appointment to someone else it's very obvious. Very nasty and unprofessional behavior, I've been a customer for almost 8 years, once I finish my credit of hours at a different location I will cancel this membership and go elsewhere. read more

This place is just horrible. I gave it a second try on Monday, Jan 3rd, 2011, and it was just as bad as I remembered. The therapist clearly didn't want to be there and just pounded the heck out of my back. I felt like a piece of meat. It actually hurt, and I resolve to never go to that miserable establishment again. The receptionist was rude, snotty and fake. I am still sore from this awful experience and hope this helps others not to waste their money (or God forbid, get a membership)! Pro: I don't think the people giving bad reviews are talking about the right place. I went here as a walk in because I was tired and needed a massage when i got there i had about a 10 minute conversation with the receptionists who ended up convincing me to do a 90 minute massage and boy was i glad they upsold me. i told them i was not interested in a membership but when i came out i felt better then i EVER felt in my life so they got me. i immediately signed up for the membership made my next appointment and am excited to go back to get my hot stone massage Con: One thing i would suggest is they should really think about getting little snacks and drinks for the clients. other than that you walk into a serene atmosphere with people who are always smiling and therapists that make sure you get what you need. read more

I needed a quick massage because I woke up with some tension in my back and I was around the area for work so I called and they got me in within an hour. Felt brand new again after my 50 minute massage! You have 5 min. before and after to undress and stuff. Very clean place, friendly staff and very relaxing atmosphere. My therapist did a great deep tissue (sometimes its too much pressure, sometimes not enough. This was just right.) One thing I will say is to tip the therapist on the actual amount of the massage, not what you pay for the first time, since the first massage is always a discounted rate. read more

Went there twice, $65 for one hr massage ! YIKES! and OUCH . well for $65 , i better be getting a great massage or they should be throwing in a pedicure with the lousy massages i m getting there. Highly do not recommend going here. All therapists are FRESH out of massage training, so their techniques are ...well, lets just put it this way, my grandma could give me a better rub. Terrible experience today at the Dearborn location. We used to go regularly to the Westland location but that location is closed down now. I've only had great experiences there. First time in Dearborn today...the table was slanted VERY downward. I told the massage "therapist" She lifted the headpiece up which did not help at all. She said "i dont know why the tables are like that, i will mention it to my manager." The "massage" consisted mostly of her gently smoothing oil over my skin. It felt like such a waste of money because there was not really any actual massaging happening, just some oil being smoothed over my skin. I asked for more pressure, nothing. I could have done that myself for free. Before time was up i had to stop the "massage" because so much blood had rushed to my head from laying in an upside down position that i was getting a headache. My face was actually very swollen when i got up and stayed that way for about 30 minutes. The oil she used had a bad smell. And afterwards i wasnt offered any apologizies or water even. Worst massage experience i have ever had. Quite the opposite of the wonderful experiences i have had at the Westland location. Very sad that location is no longer open. read more

I arrived at massage green one hour early and explain to the front desk I had two noon appointments under my last name. She was so focused on me being there too early I don't think just paid any attention on what I said. When noon came it approached the fron desk and she said "did you need to add one thing to your appointment or something" I said no its noon!!! She said no its 11:59 I explain to her I made a noon appointment and have other appointments so I need for my appointment to start. She walked in the back and came out and said someone will be with you. Someone came out at 12:05 and took me to te back. I looked right at my clock and org course I was shorted 10 minutes!!! The lady stopped my appointment at 12:55 on the dot!! And not to mention the massage girl never ever looked at that pointless sheet they have us fill out! I clearly put on their I wanted a Swedish massage and I didn't want to be flipped over. Well of course the first thing she ask me was soooo what brings you in today? I said ummmmm a massage. And about 40 minutes in she said can you please flip over. I said no thank don't want my front massaged!!! And they didn't take my husband until 15 minutes past 12. She said she thought he was waiting on me while I got a massage. What a dummy!!!! My husband said his person talked the whole massage! No I would never visit the oe in Dearborn ever again!!! Horrible experience!!! I have had many massages before and this one was absolutely the worst ever by the worst therapist ever! She was rude from the very first second, which should have been my cue to leave. I stayed and regret every moment of it! The room was disgusting with dust so thick on the table you could see it, and the walls were filthy! The woman who massaged me was so rough with very rough hands which felt horrible on my skin. I was in so much pain during the massage, I wanted to cry! I asked for a relaxation massage...not to be beat and roughly handled! She was yawning right in my ear during the whole massage...how unprofessional and rude!!! Just a horrible experience all around and I will never go back to the Dearborn location! I have been getting massages for 40 years. Massage Green offers a variety of massage therapists with different techniques. At the risk of over-booking him, Sam has a European technique that I haven't experienced since an expert, the best ever, massage therapist at the Banff hotel spa. He is so tuned into the muscles and tension spots. The price of the membership and massage is so affordable that it is worth it to try a few until you find the therapist that works for you. Alan is fantastic, too. The receptionists and phone etiquette is not the best. The atmosphere, warmth, music, and quiet is good. Restroom is clean. Plastic glasses have got to go. read more

Horrible horrible service as far as management I had scheduled a two-hour massage with the masseuse by the name of Ash during the massage I really believe he was falling asleep it will be moments where he would just be holding a area of my body but not moving his hands I would literally have to move for him to start moving his hands again also in the times when I didn't move he only moved if it was a loud noise outside of the door however I called and asked to speak to management I was told that management was not there that would give me a call back and nobody has yet to call me that massage was giving on July 11th it is July 25th I have yet to have anyone call me on top of I've called several times and the management is always busy or not there not to mention I called and canceled an appointment ahead of time only them for to tell me that I didn't charge my account and then it was you know a problem getting it fixed but they did get it fixed but of course management didn't call me back like I requested another young lady did it works at the front desk and I appreciate her help because she did get you taken care of but overall there is a masseuse there by the name of Monica and there's a esthetician there by the name of Yana and they are very good at what they do I recommend you see those two for either your facials or massage read more

I went online to schedule an appointment. They had several openings but when I would select them, the website error and I couldn't book online. I called this location 10/30/16. I was told the only opening was much later. When I asked for an earlier appoint per their website..I was told but those were male therapist. I told her I actually prefer a male therapist as they can get deeper as they are usually stronger since I wanted the pain management message. She then told me all they offer was Swedish and deep tissue. I explained to her that on THEIR website they offer a pain management message. I have had it done their before with a male therapist. She started to giggle and told me they did not offer it. She was so unprofessional that I told her that I did not want a message and I scheduled one at a different location. Too bad for the therapists there as the receptionist lost them a client today. 1. You offer any openings and if the person prefers a certain male/female let them request it. 2. Your receptionist should know what your offering especially when it's on your website! read more

I was hesitant to go here after all of the negative reviews, but honestly it is nothing like that (to each their own) I love this place! I signed up for the membership after LOVING my first massage with Pam. If you are a new client they give you a discounted price on an hour and a half or two hours so i went for the hour and a half. It was so relaxing. The staff is really nice and friendly and don't pressure you into their services. They gave me a tour and showed me the couples suite with a gorgeous waterfall. I will definitely be back to use that with my boyfriend! read more

My wife and I went on 8/4/2012 it was the most disappointing massage ever. What a rip off paid for 60 mins got 45 mins. The room was a couples room without AIR so it was hot and uncomfortable .The therapist if you call them that didn't listen to our concerns. Will never go back. I have experience massage by many people, in many different places and this was by far the worse experience ever! The rooms were cold, and dirty and you could hear the conversations in the halls and the next rooms. The front desk staff..... that's a whole nothing issue. It was the owners KIDS! The CHILDREN behind the desk were just that, children. Not a single one was over the age of 13. Then while in session the therapist proceeded to complain about the work conditions and how little they were paid for how much they were expected to do. They also are forced to push their staff to "sell" products and memberships the moment they get you in the room alone. I know this from my massage therapist complaining to me the whole time. Besides the fact I couldn't relax from all the chit chat, the therapist was so unfocused that I only had a 42 minute massage (i put a stop watch on when they come in and start). None of my pain got alleviated and i came out feeling worse then when I went in. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!! with how dirty it is anyways its only a matter of time before its shut down read more

I heard about this place through a friend and thought WOW 29.95 whats the catch? I called in on wednesday to get information and it was true 29.95 out the door. I was even able to book a appointment same day!! When i first walked in it was nice but not the most fancy place but hey 29.95 for an hour massage? Ill take it. I went to check in and the girl at the front desk welcomed me with a big smile. She walked me into their quiet room and i sat in there while I filled out my paperwork (which by the way was no point because the therapist basically asked me the same questions that were on that paper) but besides that I went in for my massage and it was GREAT. I almost fell asleep with the soft music and the soft massage. I never really get to relax with my busy schedule but after that massage I decided to go back once a month!!! Yep I was a sucker for the membership and its probably the best thing i did for myself in years. The only thing that dissapointed me was there was no manicure and pedicure. I mean what spa doesnt have mani/pedis?? Overall my experience was fantastic.
