I went to the Peoria location. Not a therapeutic massage at all. The person I had kept saying "geez" because my back was so tense. I felt like she was frustrated right off the bat, so I felt bad. She said "geez" continually throughout the hour session. It made me feel as if I were an impossible, untreatable customer. She was friendly, however. This was my first time at Massage Haven and they barely assessed my needs and areas of tension before beginning. She started off with way too hard of pressure. Thankfully she used less pressure when I asked her to. I also felt unbalanced, because she didn't work on the same areas on both sides of my back. For example, when I asked her to work on an area under my arm, she only did one side of my body...I definitely won't be going back. By the way, there was a lot of lotion in my hair afterwards, which makes me laugh. There was also a lot of lotion on the sheets during the massage. I had to keep adjusting the sheets so my arms wouldn't be laying in puddles of lotion. The masseuse was aware of this, because she asked me what was wrong, and then did nothing to fix it. I did like the atmosphere and the people were semi-friendly. The price was definitely affordable. read more

The receptionists are low level. Scheduled a massage a week before. Show up and stated they don't have us in the system. Terrible service considering we work 13 hour shifts and the only time to get a massage is on weekends. We planned around it. Now I don't think I'll ever use them. Whole week we looked forward to it and then this shit happens. Receptionist told us we'd get a call back too from the manager and we never did. I will NEVER use them again. read more

I've been going here for over three years, granted, they do sometimes have a large turnover of therapist, they have always been very kind and professional. I've had a massage from a few therapist, some have since left which is a shame, makes it hard to stay with someone you really like and does what you need. None the less, I would recommend them to any of my friends and family. read more

The massage you get is excellent, dealing with the owner, the business manager or the front desk person is not a pleasant experience! The do not honor their own coupons, prices posted on their own website or any agreements signed at the time you agree to join. There are several people that have joined at different times and have had bad experiences being charged more and accused of cheating them, when their own people never charge consistently. Maybe this review will make them realize they need to honor customers and do a better job on customer service. read more

I see Jackie once a week and she has made an absolute difference in how I feel and start my week. She has a great flow and manages to hit everywhere in the short time. I started to take my son there to her and look forward to doing that more for him and my husband loves her style as well...and we never agreed on anyone! Use caution here. Think before you use a debit or charge card for payment because as we have found out they will bill against that card without approval. They will use that number to pay someone else's charges. I was told by an employee there very recently that this has been used as a business practice for at least 3 years. They had my daughter sign a contract but never gave her a copy saying they would email it. They have never sent one to nor me even after I requested it. Ease your pains else where because here the pain just moves lower. read more

My siaters and i took my mom there today for her 50 th birthday celebration and was a very un pleasant experience! From start to finish. We made the appt a week prior and even confirmed same day and no one seemed to know what was going on. I used to have a monthly contract with Massage Envy. The first massage was $39 and each massage after that was $59. They were good massages but that is an expensive massage so I didn't renew. Now that my trigger points and knots are causing me to take pain killers daily, I decided to look for a more afforadable alternative. I FOUND IT!! Not only did I get an amazing massage, the place is immaculate! Next door is their Nail Haven Spa! They have brand new everything and took special measures to have the most relaxing and comfortable atmosphere as possible. I got a one-hour deep tissue massage for $29 (special this month!). I wanted to treat my friend to a massage last month. I scheduled an appointment for the both of us. My massage was great BUT my friend was stuck with an asian male therapist specializing in glute massage. She was too struck to complain that day so I later called for her. The therapist spent way too much time on her butt and with the techniques she felt it was really unprofessional... pervy even. I'm embarrassed that what was supposed to be a special occaision turned out so terribly. After calling to complain multiple times, my call was never returned and nothing was done about the situation. I've been going to Massage Haven regularly for a couple years and I love it. They have excellent package deals at the end of the year, which makes it about the least expensive massage I've seen. But the quality is outstanding. Trisha is my very favorite therapist. She is very skilled and knows how to work the knots out while providing a very relaxing massage. I've been happy with all of the massages I have gotten, but every time I go in and see a sign about tipping with MINIMAL amounts. ticks me off. I always tip and I realize some people probably don't but to say what the tip minimum is is just wrong. I wouldn't mind a recommended tip sign but the current signage just lowers the quality to me. read more

There are really only 2 things this place has going for it: it's cheap and you can get a good massage therapist. Only if they stay - once you find one you like they tend to leave. Turnover is bad. Other than that..... Eh. They're lucky they're cheap and close to home. The owner could care less if you have a complaint or a problem. I've had so many therapists show up late yet the one time I had to cancel within 24 hours they threatened to still charge my credit card. The worst part of this place is the front desk. On more than one occasion I've booked with a certain therapist only to show up and have someone different show up. They seem clueless like they don't know how to use scheduling software. read more

My husband and I have been going to Massage Haven for almost two years. We always buy a package because it's cheaper. But once our current package runs out we will NOT be going back. We wanted to try a 90 minute massage and asked if we could use our package by taking two 60 minute massages for each of us and then splitting a 3rd 60 minute to cover the difference. She indicated that would be okay so we booked for the following week. After completing the massage, booking for the next week, and checking out we went on our way. However, we received a phone call a little while later indicating that we owed an additional $50 ($25/ea) for the extra 30 minutes. When I explained what we were told, the receptionist (a different one than we had dealt with in the first place) said okay and hung up. It was about 10 minutes later that the "manager" called and told me that she needed my credit card because they couldn't split one of our 60 minutes that we had prepaid so we needed to pay. My husband and I decided to go in to clear things up and they refused to honor what we were told when we originally booked the massage. Nowhere on their site does it indicate that you can not split the massage. They should have honored what the first receptionist indicated. Their excuse was that "she didn't know the procedure and that she had now been informed". One of their problems is that every time we go in there, there is a new receptionist. As far as we are concerned, we will use up what we have left on the package since we can't get a refund and we will not return. Massage Haven has lost two customers. read more
