Terrible experience at Massage Haven. Do not use this place. A lot of other choices around here. I set an appointment for 6:00 Saturday. I walked in at 6:06 due to a bit of traffic. I verified they had my # when I made appointment-- In fact asked the address to be texted to me. I walked in and the girl at the front counter said my therapist left for the evening. I expressed my concern that I drove 20 minutes to come here. 2 other therapists came to the counter while I was chatting with the girl and the all but laughed at me like this was some kind of joke. I want one in Charlotte, NC. I was on my last day in Phoenix before heading back to the east coast. Knowing that I had a full day of travel ahead of me and a kinked neck due to not sleeping in my bed, I had to find some relief somewhere. This location is just north of Union Hills on 83rd Ave. It's a short turn off Loop 101. While the exterior is a basic strip shopping area, the interior is welcoming. They have plenty of massage therapists and rooms. It's gets packed, but it's because they offer great deals. They were running a happy hour special Monday through Thursday for $35 for an hour massage. Yes, please! They make self-care affordable and something you can do for yourself on a regular basis. I give it 5 stars because it's affordable and the therapist I had was excellent. She also gave me tips on how to keep my muscles from tightening up too much. While it's not the posh experience you'd find at the Biltmore or some 5-star boutique hotel, it's a place accessible to most everyone. Pamper yourself regularly. read more

I just had THE BEST massage ever. I always get extraordinary service from Nail Haven and I've always been happy with Massage Haven. Today I was more than happy. I have never had a massage by a gentleman before and never met Aaron, my massage therapist today. I am so relaxed I didn't think I'd be able to drive home without falling asleep! He is very skilled, extremely professional and very intuitive. I have a huge presentation at work tomorrow and I don't even care any more. :) I've never been one to make getting massages a habit. Aaron definitely changes my mind. They are lucky to have him but I am never surprised by the talent they hire. The owners are clearly unmistakably invested in being better than the rest. read more

On my way, I call to find out what corner they are on, the woman who answers the phone has zero sense of direction, no idea where they are at, I said I would be there in a couple of.minutes as soon as I could find them. Wouldn't you think people who work there, especially those who are answering the phone, will know where they are located? I go in, the same woman says this is Jessica, she is replacing Dino as today he is on call. I said when I called to make the appountment I requested a male therapist. Jessica looked like she had as much personality or power as a doorknob. Today was a special day of remembrance for me and now I have to find a different place for a massage. I am inquiring why Massage Haven is still charging $50 monthly membership fees when all locations are closed for COVID19. When virtually all other business are reducing or suspending charges to customers, Massage Haven continues to charge?! I have called several times 3 different business phone numbers, but all mailboxes are full. I have also emailed to inquire on this, but with no reply. I I urge Massage Haven to refund all customers the month of April 2020, and suspend charging until the Government has cleared businesses to re-open. read more

The first time I went I was luckily scheduled with Danielle who not only helped relieve some lower back pain but was able to tell I was having headaches, even tough i did not mention it, and she took care of that too! Try this place! I thought it was important for you to know that I got to experience a therapeutic massage with Eddie today. He was so good! He was kind, checked the pressure levels often and was able to accommodate my special needs after my surgery.That was my 3rd and best massage I've ever had at Massage Haven. Always clean with a true spa feel, relaxing music and friendly staff. I recommend the $35 a month membership. It's really just a credit for a massage next month. That gets you a full hour by the way. I've had a membership off/on for years. The cost is reasonable and there are things your membership allows which make it helpful (with a small fee another person with you can use your credits, etc). Most importantly, if you are looking for an amazing therapist, check out Cecilia! One word of caution, I've booked online and for some reason the system doesn't hold the therapist you book with, so there is the danger if you are trying to book online w/a certain therapist, it won't save that preference and you may end up with someone else. Do yourself a favor and book by phone. read more

I can't believe I had not rated this place yet. It is by far my favorite place to get massages in the valley. Every experience has been amazing. The atmosphere is very soothing, the price is good, and every massage has been outstanding. I went there this past week for a pre-natal massage, which I had gotten once before from another company and found very uncomfortable, but I found this experience to be so relaxing, soothing, and invigorating. Stacey is the best! Lately, my neck has been getting more and more sore in the mornings. Today, it was really bad, and I HAD to do something about it. I looked the the reviews and gave Massage Haven a call. About 90 minutes later, I met Stacey. The front waiting area was tastefully decorated, and the staff was friendly and professional. There was an unobtrusive chalk board with the monthly specials on it. Low volume music played in the background. After filling a brief history, Stacey came out and escorted me back to her small but comfortable room. We talked about my specific problem, and she then began to work on my upper back and neck. A full hour later, our session was over. She worked on my problem the entire hour! She reviewed with me the aftercare for the massage, and I have already booked another session. Like most problems, my neck has gotten worse over time. One session will not fix it, but I am confident that it will improve greatly over time. One last thing. Remember that board with the "specials"? I got a great deal by preparing for future massages. If I only need one more, the other sessions are still there to use for a year. Great stuff! I want to start off with saying, I ALWAYS focus on the positive, being a former personnel director, restaurant and hotel manager and owning my own business, the thing that should ALWAYS be consistent is the way one treats their guest. Having respect for them, and treating them they way that you would want to be treated. The owner Dino, is probably the MOST unprofessional individual I have ever met and was the main reason I quit my membership with massage haven. He also owns the nail salon next door and what I found in common with both, he hires very young employees (high school) girls who have no business being put into positions they are put into., if they are mature and sharp minded it is one thing. But when I inquired as to why there wasnt a more professional staff, I was told because "he can pay them cheap".....This is NOT the case with the therapists and although I only used one the entire time, I have NOTHING negative to say about her skills. I contacted the owner on three different occasions to express my positive experiences with my therapist NOT one time did he make an effort to follow through and return my call. When I would come in, I would say did he get my message? I was told that yes he did and the therapist even verified that. What kind of owner doesnt return a call of a very regular customer who books two hour apts almost every week? Obviously one that just doesnt care..... The straw that broke the camels back for me was this, I had broken my foot and called to see if my therapist could work me in as my hips were very sore and I was in severe pain. Dino, said "I will make sure she gets the message and we will call you back" I called back that night when I didnt hear from anyone and was literally on the phone for almost 15 minutes when four different times I was asked what my name was...there was another new hire, turnover is horrendous and I can totally understand why. She knew nothing about my situation, I asked if Dino had spoken with her or my therapist, she had absolutely no clue. When I text my therapist, to inquire whether he had spoken to her she said she knew nothing about it and he had not spoken with her even though she was there the same time he was. Here, I am a customer in pain and he couldnt even follow through as promised. I let the three phone calls go before, however this was just plain disrespectful! I informed the therapist it didnt matter how skilled she was I was not going to put up with that. She totally understood why I was leaving and acknowledged everything I said among other things that I wont get into. He had many occasions to follow up with me in person, but didnt and I figured I wasnt going to waste anymore time if he didnt and couldnt have the curtesy to follow up with me. When I signed my cancelation forms he "acted" like he had no clue why I was leaving not even a sorry to see you go or is there anything I can do...NOTHING! What I will say is this, things start at the top, if the owner has no respect for his customers and cant return a call to a (good) paying customer especially when it was a positive situation and had no regard or care how I was feeling...I want NOTHING to do with his operation and anyone associated with it, as it rubs off on the employees...and unfortunately I saw that to be the case. Id rather pay a bit of an up charge and be respected, after all, the clients are paying his bills! read more

This was my sister's go to place when she lived here. She moved to Austin and for my birthday set up a 90 minute massage for me. I called to make an appointment and told them I wanted a deep tissue therapist and that my sister set this up for a gift birthday massage. The gal said she looked it up and all was good. She also told me all the therapists do deep tissue; NOT! I asked my therapist to go deeper but felt like I was being petted. After three times I gave up and had her spend the entire 90 minutes on my back so I could get some sort of massage. She was very nice but you could tell she wasn't well trained and did not show any massage etiquette in her routine. I tipped her $20 anyways. When I went to check out they wanted to charge me for the massage, had no recollection of the gift set up and after a call to the "man in the back" I had to pay $10 for having a 90 minute massage. Typically, when you get a gift massage you are treated special so that the person who got it for you would look good, not here. On a final note: I have been here several times in the past and always felt this was somewhat a high class place. It had lost its standards, service and appeal. I have never been much of a massage person, although I wanted to be. I did a Massage Envy special a few years ago, but it wasn't good enough to re-up the membership. Don't get me wrong, the therapists were nice, but a lot were not experienced, talked too much, or were late because their car wouldn't start. My neck was bothering me 6 mo. back, and I looked on Groupon & saw no deals, but I did see an ad for Massage Haven. It was convenient and on my way home from work! I called, got in within 2 days, and it was GREAT! The atmosphere is wonderful & calming, and I am greeted right away with a smile. My first appt, the woman talked too much about herself, so when I was finished, I asked the receptionist "who is the busiest Therapist?" She said Koreana. I made an appt with Koreana the following month, and I haven't looked back! She has made me a very happy gal! She is knowledgeable, considerate, professional, on time and caring. I feel great after every visit. I do the 90 minutes, and would enjoy 180 minutes if I could. I thank you from the bottom of my heart Koreana. I am very sensitive, but need work on my shoulders & lower back, and she has the perfect touch. Sure i scream sometimes, but it's for my own good. My sister planned a day of pampering....first stop massage. My sister scheduled two massages. on for her one for me at the same time. We drove over 15 miles to get there to just be told they only scheduled one massage. Were unapologetic and wanted to have us come back at 2:00 pm. I already mentioned how we had a full day so of course that was not an option. Only justification they gave us for the error was "we have a couple new receptionist who may of just not put you on the schedule." I am extremely disappointed with the management and front desk staff!! I was a member for almost 2 years and gave them so much business. I accumulated a lot of credits as we moved in and out of Phoenix a couple times due to our jobs. One fine day they tell me that I have no credits!! The girl at front desk at my prior appointment had mentioned that I still have 12 credits and failed to say anything about expiry date (I didnt even know they have an expiration) Now it's been over a month of calls, emails, follow ups..but they are still not able to help me. All I hear is "we will call you " but I have NEVER received any. Not to mention This is almost 600$ worth of credits we are talking about..This is extremely frustrating!! How ironic! A place that's supposed to relax people has had me all stressed out!! I honestly just want my credits back or my money back.. Please learn from my experience and DO NOT TAKE THEIR MEMBERSHIP!!! I haven't had any problems until my last appointment. I had scheduled a massage for my sister, who was in town for a few days. I normally get a text with an appointment verification but didn't this time. I took my sister to the appointment only to find out that they didn't schedule the appointment. I get that mistakes can be made but the girl had a room full of people and was on a personal phone call. After a moment of standing there she said, "hold on I have a customer." It can be used for massage or facial. I liked the place because it was very quiet and clean. The receptionist and masseuse were both very friendly.
