RIP OFF Buyer beware. They advertise a 49.99 one hour intro offer. That's what I booked. Had a good massage (the single star). Upon checkout was told I owed $99. I said "no, I had 49.99 intro special. Clerk says $99 is member fee. Told her I was not a member. She said that I was back in Austin 7 years ago. Well, 7 years ago I bought a one year package. After 3 visits I returned to a scheduled appoint and the store was gone. They closed up and ran off in the night. No warning, no compensation. Beware buyers as Massage Heights cares Only about money. I feel it is appropriate to update my recent review for this location. Although, my original circumstances were not dealt with as anticipated and originally communicated, the Retreat Director, Lance, did reach out to me with a reasonable explanation of how my issue was dropped through the cracks. As originally stated in first review - I can accept that sometimes best plans end with a miss. I returned to this location for another appointment, and could not have been more pleased. I appreciated the interest and follow through from Lance, and cannot say enough positive feedback about the therapist that was selected for my return visit. Ruth is an OUTSTANDING massage therapist. WORST customer service ever. I have called multiple times with questions about my membership. I have received different answers every time I call. I have left multiple messages for the manager because they are "not available" and never receive a call back. There are many better massage options in the area. read more

My review of this Massage Heights on Voss Road/San Felipe has long been overdue. I joined their "membership" program the first night they opened. Initially they were very accommodating. Massages was good, when I requested to have a 1 hour massage, it would usually mean 50 minutes. No big deal. It was explained prior to signing the membership. I had a favorite masseur who gave Excellent massage, but after close to a year, I heard she was fired. Wow. That made me sad. But this location is so close to my house and I like the fact that it's pretty clean. However the massage experience went downhill after that. I tried with so many different female masseurs. Some were good, some were just too hurry and was basically rubbing oil on my body. MANY times they did not even give me at least 50 minutes. Let's say my appointment is at 2:00 p.m. If I was LATE even 5-10 minutes, they would DOCk it off my time share. However, many occasions they were late, and yet they never made up for it. Very very convenient for them. Also on my original membership, the rules and terms were prett vague. I was surprised to learn later on that They WILL cancel your Remaining Un-Used BUT PREPAID sessions if you don't renew your membership with them. WOW. And on top of that, they literally forced you to renew membership and had the GAL to charge $50 REnewal Fee if you renew it for only 6 months. Basically they are forcing you to sign a 1 year membership to avoid that $50 renewal fee. So to recap: 1. Inconsistent massage. Mediocre at best. 2. $50 Renewal Fee unless you renew/sign up for their 1 year membership at $59.99/month. Without membership it's $89.99 per session. 3. If you are late, they will dock you. If they are late, they won't make up for the time lost. 4. Pushy staffs. read more

I see the same massage therapist every time so she knows the pressue that I like. I also like that the massage credits roll over each month - although I don't have a hard time using them each month! I had Bryan he was great! I asked for a sports massage and that's exactly what he gave me, the only downfall was it was on 50 mins not an hour , I was kind of disappointed bc I wanted to join and become a member , I'm in the service industry myself but I think I'll go back to my old guy Jeremy at healing hands, but if you like strong guys go to Bryan he was very professional and detailed I just wish I had had 10 more mins of his time. :( read more

HOLY Guacamole!!!!! (insert favorite expletive!) I went back for my monthly massage to Massage Heights and got Sos, a guy massuse this time, and I will never be the same. Seriously, this was the BEST freakin massage I have ever experienced, HANDS DOWN! I opted for the hot stone massage this time being that I had never had one, and was in HEAVEN! The massage was deep tissue which I LOVED, and definately had me feeling like a million bucks afterward. The hot stones, and aromatherapy was icing on the cupcake, and after spending 100's of dollars on ritzy titzy spa massages, I have found myself a home. This location has a good group of massage therapists. I have had some very pleasant interactions with the receptionist staff. Just recently I had a weird experience where the receptionist wanted a current phone number which I haven't changed any of my contact info so that was a little weird but other than that all interactions have been good. read more

I have had a membership with this location for approximately 5 years and have had nothing except great experiences with the front desk staff and the stars aligned when I booked my first massage with Tracy. He is the absolute best around. I moved since I got the membership and its worth driving past several other Massage Heights locations to get an appointment with him. I've been to may massage places in Houston and this one is the best! For many years, I've had neck pain and shoulder pain that requires deep deep tissue massages. My fiance bought me a gift certificate for the holidays and I couldn't wait to go! The environment very calm and relaxing. I got a Swedish massage and it was one of the best massages I've ever had and I've had quite a few! It was long and relaxing and the therapist worked out all my kinks! I give this location 3 out of 5 stars for two reasons. The massages never last the full hour and I haven't found a therapist that has really wowed me and I've been to two locations, but the massages are never poor and the receptionists are always friendly. It seems like the therapists are all trained beyond very very basic Swedish massage. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing, definitely a step above Massage Envy. In the end you can't beat the price without giving up some aspect of the experience. read more

I'm not a very happy customer with massage heights!! I wished I would have done more research on other massage salons before committing to a contract. I was mislead by a rep when signing my contract and when I went in to schedule an appointment, I was advised that I was told wrong and that the rep that signed me up no longer works there (obvious reasons). I asked if I could do a couple massage with my two credits and they flat out said no. Needless to say, I will more than likely not use any of my massages on my contract bc I do not trust this company. ALSO, the massages do not last an hour!!! Best advice I can give is to shop and do more research on other massage companies before committing here!!! :( very disappointed customer. read more

This place stunk! I've had amazing massages before.the middle to older aged woman therapist was rough and rushing e whole 35-40min of massage. I could never relax or enjoy it because her rhythm was so off and awkward. She came across as oblivious and barely there NOT a therapist. Seems like she took a course after having worked at big lots and walked in off the street to get a job there. She didn't even offer me aromatherapy I had to ask. the massage does NOT last an hour. Was totally not even worth the $50 intro price. This franchise is not getting my business. read more

I love massages so much. They are my chance to just relax and not worry about the world for a while. I do have the monthly plan and almost never remember to go every month. But when I do I love it. The therapists can be a little bit hit or miss but lately they have been great. Really enjoyed them. The staff are friendly for the most part. No problems. read more

I guess it's not bad for a cheap massage but think I'll just stick to spas like Trellis at the Houstonian and ZaSpa at Hotel Zaza. Birthday RUINED! I'm so upset and hurt that I have to write this review because I was soooo in love with this location for months!! I had one specific masuse that massages me. And being that massages are so personal- did NOT want to switch. I told the nice receptionist many many times that I only wanted him. So, I called in to schedule my bday massage and specifically asked for his schedule. He was off on my birthday so I took the day before even though it wasn't what I preferred. I got there on time but was not seen immediately so I went to the restroom. When I came out a man took me to my massage room and let me in. When I got undressed & laid on the table he came in- not my masuse that I specifically requested and changed my birthday schedule for. But being naked on a massage table is a vulnerable position to be in so I took a deep breathe and tried to just enjoy my massage. It was horrible. I felt so disrespected by the carelessness and could not enjoy a minute of it. Nothing against the masuse, but he was not my masuse and I felt so wronged that they would disregard my wishes and place me with a complete stranger touching my body after I got use to and comfortable with my masuse THAT I REQUESTED. So I get out the massage and I'm so furious, I can barely express my disappointment. But all I got were empty sorries & a bogus lie about how my masuse was booked when I scheduled my massage. I could have argued with them because I know for a fact that I specifically asked his schedule and even compromised to it when I booked. But the girls are always nice- so I refrained from being evil about it. I went to my car & cried out of all of the frustration! I had a horrible long day, and being that it was the day before my birthday I was so shocked at what just happened and how I was offered no recourse. I didn't even want to go finish buying my birthday outfit afterward - this whole situation just put a damper on my whole birthday spirit & just made me so sad! read more

This was my second session with Brian and have been nothing but completely satisfied! I get just what I ask for, and it's great to be offered aromatherapy, too. From the minute you call to make the appointment (front desk staff is so personable,) to walking out as a more than relaxed (ahhhhh) customer, you will have a fantastic experience. I promise! I have a deformity in my neck that has caused chronic pain for 20 years. Massages help but are never very relaxing due to the chronic muscle spasms and knots I have had my whole life. However, I have found one massage therapist at Massage Heights in Cinco Ranch that is an Angel sent from Heaven - PATTY. I not only relax, but she can work my knots and spasms out, and does amazing energy work that leaves me with a calmness that I have never experienced before. I will never see another therapist and I trust Patty explicitly. She has such a kind heart and wonderful healing hands that I truly believe she was placed on this earth to help relieve others of their pain and suffering. She is a miracle worker - definitely check her out if you want peace, tranquility and the most relaxing massage you have ever had. read more

I purchased a couples massage and upon doing so I was asked which elevation I wanted. Upon arrival the masseuse verified he then proceeded to ask what areas should he work on. I explained to him verbally and nonverbally the most important areas to work on, needless to say he DID NOT even work on the areas indicated! I stopped him halfway through asking him what was his plan to work on the area I indicated, his response was that every masseuse has different techniques. Furious! Is what I'll use for the lack of a better word. It was the most dissatisfying massage I've ever experienced. I had a copious amount of oil on my back I had to hurry home and shower. "YUCK". I was asked how was my experience and I politely told them I was dissatisfied. As the staff ensured me the manager would contact me the next day. I'm currently waiting on that call. I am a member ever since the first night they opened. I was actually very happy. I lived down the road, and for the longest time there has been no massage spa like this within 1 mile from my house. I had been going to Brea's Sanctuary on Timmons and West Alabama all these years because their service is top notch, ambience is something you rarely see in other spas..but the drive was too far for me. After an hour massage, I would like to just drive home quickly and relax. This place had everything I like. Clean. Professional. Relaxing. They always have fresh towels. I tried their hot towels massage and I saw that they have this Towel Sanitizer Drawer in which they put their towels in and they came out piping hot...which is a relief, at least I know the towels have been properly sanitized. When I first came, I had tried a few ladies which I did not really like. Untill I came to this African lady by the name of Ola. She is big and powerful. My sore spot on the neck, she was able to find it instantly and she massaged it deep and good. I always went back to her. Too bad she no longer works there, if not, I would have come more often. Now I try to ask for Ruth, she is Hispanic, and she is pretty strong too. I tried another lady I think she's Russian or Swedish, she does Swedish massage, but I did not feel nothing. I guess she's not strong enough to do a deep tissue massage. Overall I like this place, because of their location, and their cleanliness. read more

Had my very first Massage Heights experience last week, and was VERY impressed. My husband gave me a gift card for Christmas, and I was thrilled to finally use it. Gorgeous facility, super clean, and the staff behind the desk seemed to really care that I have a delightful experience. My masseuse listened when I told her what areas needed attention, and really worked out all of the knots in my shoulders that have been there forever. I also loved the aromatherapy oils used during the session. I didn't sign up for the membership this time, but I'll definitely be considering it for the future. Can't wait to go back. Exceptional! Each massage I've had at this Massage Heights has been a delight, and probably one of the best values too. What really stands out for me is also the kind and courteous front desk staff who create such a warm, relaxing atmosphere. I had an opportunity to interact with the manager discussing a billing issue that came up, and she was fair and helpful resolving it quickly. I received a gift card for an hour massage plus an elevation. When I made the reservation, I indicated which elevation I wanted. I arrived early as requested but was left in the hall until after my scheduled time. When the masseuse finally showed up, she told me that she still had to change the linens in the room putting me in the room at least ten minutes after my scheduled time. She seemed very rushed and never introduced herself. She even commented on how busy they were. The massage was good, but I didn't receive my elevation. The good thing was that the receptionist didn't push the membership. She asked if I wanted one. I said no, and that was that. No offer of water after the massage was made, which was a first for me considering I've had massages at dozens of different places including a competing membership massage facility. Now I'm left with $20 on my gift card which will require me to pay for another massage at a higher rate since it won't be my "initial" massage. Oh, and I finally learned the masseuse' name when the receptionist shoved a gratuity envelope at me and spelled it for me. This place needs to work on communication and not over-booking clients, which creates a rushed "stressed" atmosphere. I didn't expect a spa experience, but I also didn't expect to be rushed in and out and my scheduled elevation eliminated. read more

They want to sign a contract for the service. Be careful about that. I had a groupon and went to use it for a facial. It was good so when they started pressuring me to buy a one year contract, I was skeptical, I did not need to have facial every month, but they said I could use it for massage too blah blah..I had massages at their other locations before, it was only so so. So anyway, I finally sign up for 6 months after the girl reassure me that I can cancel anytime. Well, I tried to cancel after 3 months and give them one month notice. Guess what ?? The manager told me it was not cancellable. I basically have to pay for 3 months left on my 6 months contract ! After heated arguments in their salon where I showed them the written note on my contract that the girl had wrote, one month notice to cancel. The manager tells me the staff was mistaken. Finally I booked one more appointment and had to pay for another month. Be aware of their scams and unprofessional conduct in business ! read more
