Desiree has a magic touch! I came out feeling amazing! The receptionist was very professional and informative. I was so nervous coming in. Two clients came out while I was waiting and just by looking at them, I knew I was in the right place. They came out looking so relaxed. Desiree is one of the best, if not the best, massage therapists at the Sugar Land location. She has been my therapist for over 3 yrs. and she never disappoints. As a fitness instructor, I teach over 5 classes weekly plus my own personal workouts. My body is stressed to the max daily... and I love it! But, I also need help to relieve my aches and pains. I have been a member for about two years now. I have seen several therapists in that time, and have been impressed with almost all (some didn't honor my "no small talk" request that I wrote and highlighted in my chart. Otherwise, the massages were great. Most recently I have been seeing William, who since the first massage about 6 months ago, really pays attention to what ailments we talk about before hand. He's helped my back pain since seeing him and would recommend him to anyone! My regular masseuse was in a car accident and I decided to try out Massage Heights. I was pressured into purchasing a 12 month plan, and since I have to have regular massages for my back pain. I decided to give it a try. The first masseuse I was booked with was friendly, but she wouldn't stop talking the entire time. I requested deep tissue and a facial massage. She was barely rubbing my back then she tells me there's no time for the facial massage. I let the front desk know, they said they would not charge me, only to find out later that I was charged. I tried another masseuse the following month, same dull massage, not personable, called me 10 min late and finished 10 minutes early. The third month, I asked for their most popular masseuse, they scheduled me with Jonathan. It was thee most uncomfortable experience in all my life getting massages. I had to end the massage within 20 minutes, I'm not sure if he was possessed or high, but he kept asking me the same two questions and was rubbing one half of my back and left arm only. I requested deep tissue, he was barely tapping his one hand on the one side of my back. He only used one hand the whole time, It was such a bizarre experience. I had to tell him twice, to please stop, that I wasn't comfortable. I explained my awful experience to the front office lady, she was apologetic. I wrote an email to the business requesting cancelation of my membership and related the terrible experience. NO ONE has answered my email and I was charged for the massage. I don't know of they're paying people to write good reviews, but this place is the worst. Please do yourself a favor and go someplace else. read more

Update - I appreciate management calling me to resolve my original issue and cancellation. I realize now that not having consistent people running the operation is causing a disconnect in their customer service. Overall, they're trying to do a good job and though I was angry I think I was a bit harsh on my original review so updating. The location, entrance and front desk people are lovely. The rooms and tables are consistently clean and fresh. I do enjoy the peaceful vibe of the place. Most of the massage therapists are competent and can give you a relaxing experience or if you need just the basics. I did have some issues with consistency when I was pregnant. I was 7 months pregnant when I originally signed up. There is a high turn over of massage therapists, so this resulted in getting people that weren't as prepared/experienced as others. Meaning knowing which pillows work best with a big belly or not being able to last on your back once you're that big. Being pregnant is not most people, so overall most would be just fine with their services. read more

I came in 10 minutes early like they requested to fill out the paperwork. Massage started at 5pm and ended at 6:20. I paid for a 90 minute massage but only got 80 minutes worth of massage. When I asked them at the front desk why that was (I tried to be as courteous as possible) they told me 5 minutes for consultation and 5 minutes to get dressed. The consultation should have been at the beginning not the end. And it lasted about 45 seconds; them asking me what I wanted and that's it. It took me 30 seconds to get undressed and dressed. Anyway I asked them why they don't call it an 80 minute massage since calling it 90 is a little deceptive. The lady just gave me attitude and said well that's what the manager told us to do. Oooook then. The massage wasn't the best either. It felt rushed and impersonal. He did well with the head and overall pressure but that was about it. I would not recommend on the principal of advertising a 90 minute massage and only fulfilling 80 minutes of it. read more

Just received an introductory deep tissue massage. Booking the massage was very easy. I sent a request through the Massage Heights website and received a call less than 24 hours later from the receptionist to book my appointment. I told them I wanted a deep tissue massage and had no preference regarding gender of the therapist. Upon arrival to the facility, I noticed it was very clean and peaceful. The receptionist looked a bit tired and not so happy to be there on a weekend but they were nice nonetheless. They had me fill out a sheet about my past medical history that only took a couple minutes to complete. I had Henry for my deep tissue massage. He has over 30 years of experience and is a very kind man. When I walked into the room, he asked me what areas I wanted him to focus on. I am a very athletic guy who does intensive cardio and strength training 5-6 days a week. I work at a somewhat stressful office job in the medical center. With that said, I really needed to have my neck, back, and hamstrings worked out. It has been roughly 2 years since my last massage so I had a lot of tension in my neck/upper back and overtraining had left knots in my hamstrings. The massage therapist leaves the room as you undress. You can choose to fully cloth or keep on any amount of clothing you wish. The room is very quiet and peaceful but you can hear nearby doors closing, which I didn't really mind. As mentioned in previous reviews, you have the option of 3 different types of aromatherapy: lavender, eucalyptus, and peppermint. I went with eucalyptus, which was pleasant. Henry did a phenomenal job on my neck and back. He spent the majority of time here as I guess he noticed a lot of knots/tension. My neck felt all better after he was done. He spent the remainder of the time on my calves and hamstrings. He really dug in deep when working on my calves, outer thigh, and middle thigh, but not so much on the inner thigh, where the majority of my knots are. However, my legs did feel good after the massage. Overall, the massage was good. My only complaint is that outside of my focus areas, other areas of my body (e.g., arms, hands, feet, quads) were not really massaged so I didn't feel I really got a complete full body massage. But the parts of my body that were massaged felt good. I would recommend Henry to anyone looking for a pleasant Swedish or deep tissue. He is a very kind man and will ask you if you want more or less pressure. I feel like he listens to you and will focus on the areas you wish him to focus on. I'm updating my review because after going to Massage Heights for almost a year, I'm a lot more knowledgable on how it works than when I wrote my first review. The interior of this place is very aesthetically pleasing and smells so so so good. The receptionists are on the left and very accommodating. Once you check in, they offer you a glass of water and I appreciate that they ask if you'd like it at room temperature or cold. Basically, you don't HAVE to have a membership to get a massage here but be prepared for them to push it on you. I got an 'elevated' membership and it's 59/month and includes a full body massage with an elevation. The elevations are hot stones, a foot scrub, or a cold stone face massage. It works like a gym membership - they charge your account automatically once a month. Here's the thing - your massages DO roll over so don't freak out if you don't make it there one month. As far as the massages itself go, you call to book your appointment. I wouldn't walk in because it's almost always busy. They ask if you'd like a male or a female and I always request a female. They tell you the times that are available and with whom. My go-to lady was Irma but she left :(. Now I go to Aida or Tracy. I've had Kerri before but I feel like she rushes the massages (she leaves 15 minutes early so you can 'relax') and her Swedish massage quite high pressured. I always get the swedish massage and that's basically a low pressure massage. Most people go for the deep tissue but I feel like that would break my bones and not be pleasant. Like I said in my previous review, aromatherapy is complimentary. The scents are lavender, eucalyptus and I can't remember the third one but I want to say it's mint. I feel like they've diluted them these days because last year I remember the scents being very powerful and these days they're more subtle and are in a spray bottle. As far as elevations go, I always get the hot stones. I always tell myself that I'm going to try something different but I never do, lol. I just love them! The only negative I have about this place is that the massage cream/oil they use doesn't smell very pleasant. Like, it doesn't smell gross..it just doesn't smell good. If they would change that, this place would be grand. Oh and also - when I call to book my massage, I always say I want a swedish. However, they don't always pass the message to the therapist and the therapist assumes I'm there for deep tissue. That has happened to me a few times so be careful of that! read more

I am in awe over how amazing customer service is at this location. Long story short, the first time I was here, I had a pretty bad experience. Fast forward three -yes, three!- long years later, the owner reaches out to me and offers to make things right. She offers me a complimentary 90min massage. I say I want a Swedish. She says sure. I tell her I want hot stones. She tells me no problem. I know, I made 'em work for it, didn't I? I'm happy to say today's experience was phenomenal - from start to finish! The ladies up front were gracious and welcoming. I felt a little sheepish walking in knowing I left them with a bad review previously, but not a word was mentioned about it. My awesome masseuse, Heather, did everything the masseuse from my previous experience did not: she frequently checked in with me about her pressure and the temperature of the stones. Her movements had a nice precision to them; she attended to the knots in my upper back, but not overbearingly so. It's been about a year since my last massage, but today's experience reminded me why I love them so much. Everything was perfect: from the ambiance, to the customer service, to my masseuse. I'm glad I gave Massage Heights Sugarland another shot. I'm more than happy to recommend its services to anyone in the area. Also, for those debating between a 60min and 90min session, GO FOR 90! With that extra time, my masseuse was able to devote more time to my back, as well as throw in a nice face/scalp massage near the end. I've had a massage guy I've loved going to for some time now but he's moved away. I have had numerous massages at different places and prices (chains/fancy places/resorts) and my conclusion is - no one will ever compare to him, no matter how expensive they charge. Thus, I have minimal expectations everywhere I go and just want to keep the price down since no one is worth the amount of money I paid him. Now, with my lower expectations, I'm not picky, book within a short time span, and I take what's available. I also ask for pressure adjustments without hesitation especially if the therapist does not ask. I've had about 5 massage therapists here at this Sugar Land location, all different. One lady was a solid GOOD even though I encourage a conversation with her the whole time. The rest were less than average. One lady who looked like your frequent gambler/chain smoker, was very anxiously hurried it seemed like - no continuous strokes, no calming effect, almost like having a mental patient slap chop you for 45 min when she abruptly puts you out of your misery and tells you I'm done, bye bye. I thought maybe she really was a mental patient and needed a job and decided NOT to walk out right there and gave her my normal tip anyways but that I'd wait to write a review later and inform my husband and others not to go to her (yes, I do have her name). But really? Why would you hire someone like that? I took a shower RIGHT after that to wash off the psycho elements on my body. I will not be renewing and will go to Royal Oaks FURTHER AWAY until I decide not to renew as others here and my husband have suggested. read more

I signed up for the membership four years ago. I told them, I don't live here full time. they said, no problem, your massages rollover. I went in last week and found out I have 16 unused massages that I have now paid for. I told them I would like to stop payments, so I can use my already paid 16 massages, which comes to $960. The girls at the desk told me to email MH. I did. I received a response quickly from a Lyndsey Fuchs. she told me she would stop my payments, but I must use unused massages by December 31, 2022. There is no way I can do that. I sent her a new email asking if I could have until next December 2023. I will not be able to use all 16 even in a year, but I can use some of my paid services. I have not received any response and I'm now, not expecting to. I just want to let future patrons know how the program works. I did not ask enough questions and assumed " roll over " did not have a time limit. I'm now out $960, of prepaying for a service I will not be able to use. Yes, that's a lot of money! This was my third massage ever. Deep tissue please. Receptionist was nice, offered me water and I didn't wait but 5 minutes (because I was early). My massage therapist was Alex and did a great job. Really got out all those knots on my shoulder and neck. He also got the knots out of areas I didn't even know I had knots! I usually like my deep tissue massages to hurt, but sometimes it was a little more painful than I prefer. I also forget to breathe when I'm getting a massage which makes me more tense than relaxed. My last massage before this, the massage therapist would breathe in and out really loudly and remind me to breathe. I know that is probably not something many massage therapists do, but maybe I should let them know in the beginning. I definitely feel good right now and relaxed. I have been a member of Massage Heights for the past four years or so. I have had wonderful service from the therapist at this salon. I recently suffered an injury that caused me not to use my service. I cancelled my membership after discovering that my recovery would take longer than expected, coupled with the rationalization that I already had 14 unused massages. The management team cancelled by membership and offered to allow me to use the 14 unused services after my recovery and reinstatement of my membership. Do not get a membership with this company. It is obvious that they are more concerned with charging your credit card than customer service. I expected to use my massages when I could medically do so, and then reinstate my membership if I decided to do so. I am so throughtly disappointed. Due to my lengh of time frequenting this business and the level of service I received from Bryant, my therapist, I expected to renew my membership AFTER using my unused 14 visits. read more

My husband and I had a great experience getting a couples prenatal massage. It cost $50/each plus tip and was so worth it! We left feeling very relaxed. I loved the aromatherapy, the pillows, sheets, everything! The only negative is the price doubles for your second visit and beyond. This was my first time going - I was lured in by the $49 massage for an hour for new people. Sounded good to me! BUT.....it's actually only a 40 minute massage! Wow! I get massages several times a month, and this is the most disappointed I've been. So, to be fair, here is their answer. I came right at my appt time, and since I had to fill out a form, they didn't take me back for a total of 6 minutes. By the time my massage started, it was 10 after. The therapist was fine, and the massage itself was relaxing, until she wrapped up and left the room with 10 minutes left in the hour! So - in all my massage was 40 minutes. The front desk staff appologized, but said there was nothing they could do. Seriously???? So I paid my money, and left. I did leave a comment, so let's see if anyone ever contacts me. Yonalis has magic fingers. I was in so much pain and extremely tight on the back and legs.. The first appointment was extremely painful because I had to have her go deep and work on my muscles... Everything would hurt. But after the third appointment, viola!! My body was so relaxed and even places where a soft touch would hurt.. I could go very deep at those places.. You want bang for buck... I'm in Sugar Land for a mini-vacation, and I might be a bit biased because I work at and get regular massages at an independent, wonderful massage studio where I live four hours away. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised! I went in with very high expectations of being disappointed, thinking it would be like going to Massage Envy, where the rooms are bright, the tables uncomfortable, and you come out a battered woman. But this was nice! Given, you still don't get the full time you sign up for- they take out for undressing and dressing time, but at least the lights dim and the table is somewhat warm. The aromatherapy is something I'm glad I got for free, because it was little more than a few deep whiffs. But my therapist didn't beat me to a pulp, even though she did get a little rough with the elbow a couple of times. No head, face, tummy, or glutes, though. But I actually found myself pretty relaxed, all things considered! It's pretty middle of the road, but I walked out feeling pretty decent about the whole experience. :] read more
