New to area and trying some new places. Overpriced and one of the worst massages I've had to date.

Rabbit Hill Road location. Therapist- Lhyn Lagadan. Terrible massage, worst ever! She used a roller for half of the 90 minutes. It felt bad and what a cop-out. I never had a therapist use a roller! Nice receptionist but other than that, don't use this therapist. read more

Not a fan at all of the way they offer the massages. It's membership only and they expire in literally a matter of a couple months. I was given them as a gift in January and had 4 of them. We pay good money for these massages and for them to expire in a matter of 60 days is ridiculous. Give your clients 6 months to use their massages that they paid good money for. I used one in January, and had been a bit busy and forgot about them for a month and a half. Now the 3 I had left, completely expired. Complete waste of money. read more

Ok, now we've been members here for close to 5 years and I can give you some names of some of my favorite therapists. I prefer good pressure and deep tissue massages and some of my favorite therapists are Mark, Vince, Matt, and JR. Of course any of the therapists will adjust to whatever pressure you like if you just tell them. read more

Short summary since Yelp limits reviews. A therapist named Timothy had his phone out while sitting on the table with my foot in his lap, I'm worried he took photos. Asked if I was a minor, mentioned multiple times prior incidents with minors & referred to a very uncomfortable situation where he asked a minor to take their shirt off but leave their shorts on to which the young boy reply "I'm just a baby, are you sure you want me to leave my shorts on?" He mentions he's never seen a fat person by the name of Shannon and said if I ever do he can tell that person they are the first thoughts Shanon I've seen. He said he knows what people are going to look like based on their name & that he's never seen a pretty Gertrude, or Gretchen. He mentioned an issue with his ex- girlfriend & how he saw her holding hands with another man. Before taking me to the back room he mentioned he was legally blind, but throughout the entire time we were together he was referencing seeing things and knowing what people are going to look like. I was terrified to leave the room since I didn't see anyone wise aside from the receptionist in the building & as a woman was after he could hurt me if he sensed I wanted to leave. Management finally called today at about 10 am to apologize and say my next massage would be a "do-over," but frankly I am questioning my membership. I am currently seeking counsel most importantly for the comments about the minor, and for the phone issue and membership. I have prior encounters on file, but this is the worst. I feel like employees may not be properly trained, or vetted based on inappropriate & unprofessional actions and conversations in the past read more

I have used this massage place for 5 years, always with Keelia. She has been phenomenal in helping me with muscle tightness. The beds are comfortable and the facilities are always clean. The staff are always friendly and helpful. read more

One of the best places I have found around the area to get a massage. Always polite and welcoming here. I not make an appointment for a couple months and come back and they still know my name. I came in this afternoon for my first massage in years, & am utterly exalted & void of stress in places I didn't realize I had it. The experience is calming & idyllic from the relaxing waiting room with the hot neck wrap, all the way to checkout. David, my massage therapist today, was a complete delight: he's extensively knowledgeable & targeted all of my problem points. As an athlete, he nourished the muscles in my body affected by many trail runs & weight lifting. He's not just gifted in physical therapy, he is an incredible spiritual uplifter & a kind gift to all of his clients. Definitely coming back to see him soon, thanks y'all! read more

Let me start with the fact that the majority of my massages over the last 2 years as a member have been mediocre at best. Therefore I tried out the competition down the street and made the switch. The only reason I remained a member for 2 years was due to location and the fact that it was relatively inexpensive. When I scheduled an appointment for my last massage after canceling my membership, I was not informed that it had expired, WTF? The manager had the contract ready to show me after my massage....she was ready to defend their BS business practice and made no attempt to make the customer happy. So I ended up paying $90 for a mediocre massage that I technically already paid for! I would encourage management to figure out a way to ensure this doesn't happen to others. Another note, you are not allowed to gift massages built up in your membership que to family or friends even though they have been paid for. My wife had 8-10 built up and was unable to give them to family members, another BS business practice. FYI - The competition does allow gifting your massages. Over and out. Cheers read more

DONT SIGN UP. They don't let you out of your membership easy. They kept 14 credits when I asked to stop my monthly membership. It's a racket. My advice is to just get a massage one at time from anywhere. I do not recommend need signing for a membership it's a WASTE OF MONEY. Also they have very poor communication. When I called and asked to cancel my membership I was told that I had to come in and fill out the paperwork what they forgot to tell me was that their Highland Village store is closed. Very unprofessional of them. I drove 30 minutes out of my way to go and fill out the paperwork. Very upset with this establishment. Do not recommend. read more

All start with the good. Very nice atmosphere, clean, great masseuse. Now the bad. The management is terrible! You must have credit cards on file to book appointment. Ok no big deal, but I was driving down the hwy while booking appointment. I said I've already been there you should have info. I was placed on hold, no we don't have your info, well I'm driving, I do want the 3:00 appointment. I was put on hold again. Manager gets on phone, sir please call back when you pull over. So I call back 5 min later, yes I have my card info now that I'm pulled over. Sorry we booked that time slot, how about tomorrow. No thanks! read more

This place is a real deal. I have a chronic back problem so i have been getting numerous massages, physical therapy, chiropractic sessions but its hard to find a massage therapist that actually make your pain go away even for a few days. Therapists here know what they are doing and know how to perform "true" deep tissue massage. I personally prefer Gina ( pretty hard to schedule an appt w her but totally worth it) , Michael ( very thorough) and Fitz ( if you want someone with stronger hands to do deep tissue massage on you, he's the guy for you). read more

Massages have usually been good. However, in order to be a member, they bill your credit card each month. I have 10 credits built up (10 massages) & I asked if they could freeze the billing to my card for a while, so that I can catch up. The answer - they can freeze the billing, but I'm not allowed to use any of the 10 credits I have built up while it's frozen. They compared it to a gym membership. Not the same thing!! read more

This was my first true massage and it was awesome. I got the full body massage with a focus on my back. I had a guy massaging me (can't remember his name) and he made me feel very comfortable. He definitely targeted my problem areas and I was a bit sore after (but in a good way). It is a little bit of the more pricey side, but it is definitely worth it. Amazing. I went in for the first time today for deep tissue work and I haven't felt this great in a long time. Im often left disappointed with the lack of pressure from other deep tissue therapists but Michael was able to alleviate all the neck and upper back pain I've been dealing with over the last few months. I am typically not a fan of these membership type massage places. This location changed my mind completely. I called asking for information and they were so helpful and were even able to get me in that same day for my first time visit. I have to say that the atmosphere is wonderful and the ambiance is really refreshing compared to other massage places. Before my massage I was able to enjoy a hot cup of tea and a neck warmer for ten minutes to relax. I filled out the paper work and was given an opportunity to discuss my needs and customize the massage. Jennifer did an AMAZING job. After giving massage envy one last shot this place really made it clear what a massage is SUPPOSED to be like. Not to mention the fact that I had a chance to relax before going in but overall the massage itself was both very relaxing as well as therapeutic. Jennifer got EVERYTHING out and I could tell she really knew what she was doing and didn't rely on me to tell her what to do. For the first time I had a 50 minute massage actually last an entire 50 minutes and I felt better than ever. Finally, the receptionists at the front desk, particularly Candace, was so helpful and nice and didn't once push a membership on me but was instead informative. My only complaint would be the music. It was not relaxing in the least, but that is my personal taste and I'm sure it varies. If it weren't for the membership aspect I would be more eager to go back. read more

Massage Life is by far the best place I have ever been to for a massage. I was really surprised by the review of Kerra (Kyra in the review). She is awesome! I had gone through many therapists there looking for an aggressive, deep tissue massage. Kerra is the therapist I have chosen for her experience and intuitive massage skills. I can't imagine anyone complaining about a massage from her. I know a few others that see her regularly and none would choose anyone else. The decor is tasteful, they remember your name (I don't even get that at the doctors office anymore) and are always smiling and pleasant. Like several others I am not fond of the membership but it is what it is, I least like what I consider to be pushy about the tipping as I already know that my account is paid up when I get there. Thus the 4 stars. However, I am crazy about the massage and Michelle is my go to! She does a fantastic job and due to some of my issues even recommended that I go to Airrosti Therapy for several sessions. Once the issue is resolved then she will take care of the maintenance. I have used others and agree that Vince and Jennifer are great as well, just Michelle fits my personal needs best. read more

I had an appointment this morning with Keelia and I was totally impressed. The atmosphere was lovely. I was greeted immediately by Candice and asked if I wanted a beverage. She was kind & prompt. As far as the massage: Normally, masseuses can be so stiff and hard to read but Keelia was kind and full of knowledge that actually made sense. I went in for the one hour prenatal introductory rate and it was worth every penny. So much so, that I went back later today to sign up to be a member for a monthly massage. Thank you Keelia for your work on my aching shoulders and back. Thank you Candice for making me feel welcome. All too often women feel uncomfortable in places for pampering and beauty and you went out of your way to make sure I was well taken care of. I will be returning because of you two. read more

Almost every massage therapist is experienced and top notch. I love their point scale system in regards to pressure. I have been using them for over 3 years and have never had an issue. Only one time did I not like a massage, and that was simply that their style of massage was not really my thing. The ladies at the front addressed it and noted my file of my preference of therapists. I never felt bad or awkward for sharing my style of therapist. Great Great place! Will continue to be a member for a long time to come! read more

Beautiful decor, very cozy....nice that they offer free wine, tea or other beverages. They try REALLY really hard to sell memberships and push booking future sessions. I understand, and I'm not offended, because I was a diehard loyal Massage Envy member for many years prior to moving to TX. They just push entirely too much, to the point of desperation or obnoxiousness. Maybe it's their horrible location past the good shopping area, and smack-dab in the middle of awful construction that makes them advertise so much, and then beg for sales. More importantly, the massage by Kyra was mediocre. I'm very direct and clear on what I need--just my neck and shoulder blades! I even filled it out AND circled it on their body diagram in their pre-massage paperwork!!! I make it pretty flat-out simple to know how/where to work on me. But Kyra was weak, indirect, and just skimmed over the spots I said many many times, "That's the spot! I could have you work on just that for 30 minutes." but instead, she barely applied pressure and moved on to my arms or hands or bullshit I don't need/care about. I have extreme pain, and want at least a decent effort on her part to relieve it....especially since she bragged relentlessly of her 8yrs experience. Every masseuse knows by touching me in 2 seconds that my neck/back are shitty. My muscles need a ton of very deep pressure/trigger point. I'm happy to pay bi-weekly for a great masseuse. But Not for a C+ therapist who pushes me to come every week. When I further told her I can't commit to weekly sessions, and we just bought a house, have a baby, and are planning for another baby, she said, "Oh....you're keeping up with the Jones." That was the ultimate F'You to this failing business. I should've just told them what I really think of their pathetic business/service vs trying to pawn it off on my real life expenses and commitments. read more

This place has friendly staff, free glass of wine while you relax in their nice relaxation room before your massage, and great massage therapists who are always professional. The hot neck wrap they put on you while you wait is awesome! Rooms are clean and quiet. Heated tables are a nice touch. It great to have a spa experience at a reasonable price! read more

I heard someone Refer to this place as the Four Seasons without the price. That couldn't be MORE far from the truth. They are SO! desperate for you to sign up for their membership. Its pathetic. Its run by mother and daughter who look like twins. Or more so the Mother trying to be as young as her daughter. They are the ones that actually tried the HARDEST to sell the membership. They both tag teamed me on the " Sell " and it just made me chuckle. No one wants to buy a membership from a company where you can smell the desperation. And my massage absolutely SUCKED on top of that. The decor is from the 70's. Will NOT be returning and I suggest nobody go to this place. read more
