James was the massage therapist chosen for me based on what my focus was and availability. I was able to get it 2 hours after looking to book online which was super convenient and much needed due to some chronic lower back pain that I had been experiencing. When I arrived the front desk associate greeted me and checked me in and then the store manager came out to greet me with an iPad to fill out a few consent forms which took less than 5 minutes to complete. James came out about 5 minutes before the appointment and walked me through what the session would entail and asked if I had any additional concerns. He had over 15 years experience so I felt comfortable with expressing any concerns and what my objectives were. The massage was great and the store was beautiful and rooms very private so it made me feel at home. I appreciate the way the entire staff made me feel for my first visit! I will be back soon :)

Fortunately, I asked for a copy of the form I'd signed. However, I was told I couldn't have a copy of the back of the form because it needed to be signed by management. On June 2, I received a call from Heather with Massage Envy, saying she wanted to talk with me about freezing my membership, rather than cancelling it. I called and left a VM saying I'd already frozen my membership for a while and now wanted to cancel. No reply. On June 5, I called Massage Envy asking for confirmation of my cancellation. Massage Envy emailed me telling me I needed to fill out a cancellation form! There was no attachment. I emailed back stating there was no attachment but I'd already completed and submitted a cancellation form. No reply. On June 14, I emailed Massage Envy and asked to receive confirmation of my cancellation. On June 16, I received an email from Massage Envy again saying I still needed to send them my cancellation form! I replied that I'd already submitted it in person, and I attached a photo of the copy that they provided me, while also noting that Heather had already indicated she'd received it. I received a reply that I needed to send them a copy of the back of the cancellation form, too (even though the staff member didn't copy it for me because it needed to be signed). What a game they're playing! So I emailed back saying the staff member hadn't given me a copy of the back of the form. No reply. On June 17, I emailed a transcript of the voice mail I received from Heather indicating she'd already received the form. I explained it was evident they'd received my cancellation form and to please send me confirmation of the cancellation. No reply. This has taken a ridiculous amount of time to cancel -- and I still haven't received confirmation my membership was cancelled. In fact, just a minute ago I received a text inviting me to sign up for a massage. Another thing: in today's times, it's ridiculous to require people to cancel in person. That's obviously a ploy to make it harder to cancel, especially if they can then refuse to give a copy of the back of the form and then act as if you hadn't submitted a cancellation form yet and then not accept only the front of the form when you send it to them. From here I'll dispute any further charges made by Massage Envy, send my documentation to my credit card company, and let them hash it out. I'm done. It's a shame. I could've been a customer again in the future. Now I will never step foot in -- or recommend -- a Massage Envy again. If a company has to manipulate you into staying a member, there's something deeply wrong with that company.

We were able to book a same day appointment luckily as she was having a good day. Facial and foot massage for Mom, facial for me. The lobby. A bit cramped and just a bench. The lovely lady behind the desk gave up her chair for my mom to complete her digital forms. These are the types of things that make it difficult for elderly people to enjoy places like this. There was a bench but it was much too low for her. After forms completion we were escorts to a changing area with lockers to leave our things. This was a clean area with plenty of lock boxes and even a shower. At this point we were ushered to our treatment rooms and the pampering began. After an hour of facial potions, steam, hand, neck, arm and shoulder rubs, a deep treatment on your hands including wrap and a warm glove to help the oil/lotion penetrate...it was over. I was pretty much a puddle, was hard to focus and my face felt like a new born baby. I was also surprised they didn't try to "sell" me anything. It was a pleasant surprise honestly. Nothing takes away from a good paper high than being hard sales pressured. It may have been a 5 star experience had there been some things to better accommodate elderly or people with mobility issues.

When you get a massage you fill out a questionnaire on preferences for the day....what kind of music you want, lotion scent, if you're chatty, etc. it's very cool and personalized. They bring you into the back where the women's locker room is. There you can change into a robe and sandals then go into the relaxation room while you wait for your service to start. They have warm neck wraps, herbal tea and water for you along with soothing music, it kinda makes you not want to leave! I highly recommend coming here for when you're looking for relaxation in our oh so stressful world.

But this time? This time was even better! I normally switch between facials and massages on the month to month basis, I have the membership. I am now leaning towards getting facials all the time. I had Sloan today and he was absolutely amazing. He started off my appointment by reminding me of my past facials and what work was usually done, which helped in deciding what treatment I wanted today. And he honestly helped make me realize what work needs to be done in the future as well. We have a plan set up going forward. Honestly, all in all -- I am more than happy to return to this location and get a facial by the best esthetician, Sloan. Very communicative and knowledgable. This might be an odd fact, but I figure all tips help -- sometimes I feel claustrophobic under the steamer and with little to no communication. Sloan made me feel safe and was very aware of my comfort levels through the entire time. 10/10 recommend this location of all Hand & Stones! And this location made me so happy to have chosen to have a monthly membership with Hand & Stone.

Let's begin with a confession…read more I am a grown man who gets pedicures. I refer to the process, affectionately, as "sanding my hooves." Now before the men reading this clutch their masculinity like a fragile heirloom, let me explain something. At a certain point in life you must confront the reality that the feet you've been ignoring for decades are attached to the rest of you. And if you live in Colorado, those feet are eventually going to end up in flip flops or sandals. Enter Etoile Salon, where professional technicians transform what can only be described as feral hiking hooves into respectable human feet again. They truly are superb. Gentle, focused, and extremely professional. No rushing, no chaos. Just skilled people quietly performing the miracle of turning your feet back into something you wouldn't be ashamed to parade around town. For the record, I usually go with The Classic Etoile Pedicure. 35 minutes, $50. It's the perfect amount of time for someone to politely and methodically restore order to your feet while you sit there contemplating life choices. There are also plenty of add-ons if you want. Scrubs, treatments, upgrades. The spa equivalent of "would you like fries with that?" Then something unexpected happened. I started adding color. At first it was tentative black. You know...safe. Masculine. The gateway color. Then came money green. A little flash. A little attitude. Fiscally responsible. And most recently...royal purple. If this continues, by summer I fully expect to be sitting in that chair calmly selecting something called "cosmic mermaid chrome." The owner, Nara, is an absolute rock star. She's been in the industry for nearly two decades and that makes you realize the person working on your feet knows far more about taking care of them than you ever will. But credentials aside, what really stands out is how she runs the place. Nara has mastered the rare hospitality skill of making every customer feel like a longtime regular. People walk in and greet her like family, and she somehow manages to keep everything running smoothly while making sure everyone feels welcomed and relaxed. Which makes sense, because the entire vibe of the salon is calm and comfortable, not rushed. A logistical tip: they get slammed early on weekends. My last appointment was 1pm on a Saturday and it was practically serene. Six chairs, three customers, zero chaos. Now here's the part that tells you everything you need to know. I live in Cherry Creek, which has roughly one nail salon per block. I could walk to several of them while holding an Americano and pretending I'm productive. Instead, I drive 15 minutes to Etoile. Because when someone is responsible for maintaining your toenails, you develop loyalty. So gentlemen, if you've been avoiding pedicures because you think it's not your thing, let me offer a perspective. You maintain your car. You service your HVAC. You sharpen your kitchen knives. Why would you ignore the two things that literally take you everywhere? Go get your hooves sanded. And if you're feeling bold, try royal purple. It's surprisingly empowering.

First impression was they would be really good and let's be honest they are, but I don't feel like…read moreI got the full experience of a mani and pedi. My technician skipped steps in the mani and pedi process. I left with hangnails, both nails and toes were not really shaped but you know what I'm going to give them another shot. I give each nail place 3 times before I choose they are not worth spending money at so maybe it was just who they had assigned to me, who knows.
