I've now found a new place where I got the best massage of my life and it's right here in the suburbs of Washington DC. Low Cost. Perfect Massage. My neighbor recommended this place after she tried it - (she was so enthusiastic about how this massage stopped all her neck and back muscle tension - - she suffers from ongoing headaches - and this massage has been the "answer" for her to get back to work with 100% energy again) - so - with that high-recommendation I decided to try it . and I'm so glad I did. (Great recommendation - thanks) . This is the best deep-tissue massage I've had, ever. I've been going to massage therapists for years trying to get my muscle tension to quiet down. I knew there must be a more natural healing way to treat and manage chronic muscle tension - - - luckily I've found that now. This massage is the answer - just like my friend said it would be.... The massage was ideal. I just walked in Friday, and the person at the front desk was so accommodating - they worked me into the schedule that day for an appointment - - and when I met the massage person - it was very comfortable - they listened - and I knew from both our conversation and from the massage that they knew exactly where the tight-spots were, so I was able to completely relax the moment it started - and by the end of the massage I felt like a better person. Energized. That's the word - ENERGIZED. This not only stopped my pain, it gave me back my natural energy. I was so glad this wasn't just a spa type massage - - this is more than that. It's a deep massage that treated my pain and has given me days of relief ... I had my massage on Friday - and it's Monday now - and I still feel great. I always drive by, but I never really paid attention to the signs on the side road. I drove to the Popeye's' shopping center that day, the first thing I saw was a sign says $39/hour massage offered by Massage Spring Spa. I decided to give it a try. When I just stepped in, I noticed that they are quite different than what I expected, much better than what I expected... the environment was really quiet. A gentleman at the front desk greeted me and I filled out a wellness form which asks for basic questions. Then he led me to a waiting room where I waited for my therapist to guide me into their private rooms. When I stepped in the room, I know I would like it; The light, the music, the cleanness just made me fall in love with it. My therapist, Chu, is amazing!!! I don't know how he did it, but his hands were magic, and luckily i was able to get one more hour with him. During the whole two hours session, Chu worked closely to what I requested, and I could feel that every piece of my muscle was sooooooo relaxed. When I lived in the Caribbean, I often had a massage 2-3 times a week on the beach. It was very nice. I moved back to the US and began a search for a regular place to get a good massage. After trying several places, I found Massage Spring. OMG (for those over 50 that means Oh My God). The place was clean, unlike that chain massage place I visited. Even the bathroom was clean. The table was heated which was great because I hate cold. Jenny was my masseuse and I can not say enough about her. She was not afraid to knead the butt area because that is where I hurt the most. I came back each of the next two weekends and will probably come at least twice a month as the prices are very reasonable. They even have a membership where you can save even more; I did the membership and plan to visit every other week. read more

First visit was great and I joined the membership. When I went back for my second visit, I called ahead of time and told the receptionist that I like to book a prenatal massage, after check-in, the front desk told me they don't have anyone who is able to do it. I tried to reschedule and they told me Chu is the only one knows how to do prenatal massage and he is on vacation. When is he coming back? The told me they have no idea and will give me a call back...Well, I would not join the membership program if I knew this place is beyond unprofessional. read more

Amazing. I followed Chu from another spa in Germantown. If you want firm, deep pressure to really work out specific knots, he's ah-maz-ing. He has studied acupressure and knows the tenets of Chinese medicine too. When I leave, I feel as if I've had a massage, a physical therapy session, and my pressure points worked. You'll probably be sore the next day. If you want some pressure, but still a relaxing massage, you'll love Coco. She's more gentle and relaxing, but will get up on the table to do deep muscle massage on your back. read more

Beautiful place, they have tranqual musics, and the tables are very confortble. I tried 3 different thrapists, all of them are fantastic. Great massage from Helen! The decor is outdated and a little rundown but the massage itself was great. I used to manage a wellness center with many fantastic massage therapists and I would rank Helen with the best. if you hate sound distractions make sure you request to be on the left side of the building, the right side shares a walls with the cigar smoke room next door. The whole experience here was ok except for the masseuse, Claudia. She must not have any training in therapeutic massage and does not know the first thing about strong deep tissue massage and restorative therapy. She also tried to pull a fast one on me from her experience in working in shady joints no question! Would not have that nonsense.
