I repeatedly asked Jessica to use softer, gentler pressure because I bruise easily. Lucy and Leena had always understood and respected this. Instead, Jessica responded that "harder is better pressure" and continued using hard pressure despite my requests. I would have much rather been told that no one available that evening could accommodate my preference. I landed on the Indian Head Therapy, a facial, and then a chakra balancing massage, which a lunch in between. The facial and massage were both great. I would go back for each of those individually, for sure. The chakra balancing massage, in particular, was DELIGHTFUL. The Indian Head Therapy was so bizarre and not at all what I hoped for. It felt like the person who was supposed to do this treatment canceled at the last minute and they asked the esthetician if she could fill in. She started with my hands which immediately confused me because it's supposed to be head, neck and shoulders focused. It was super disappointing and I LOVE any and all head massages, but even when she got to my head, she was barely massaging it - I don't know how to describe it, but would not recommend. The layout of this spa makes the spa day not super ideal. In your robe, you have to traipse through the store front of the lobby, holding this super awkward basket full of all your belongings. Most of the time during my massages, she would converse with me, which sometimes I didn't mind at all. She always had the funniest stories! The only cons I recall are when she was booked during the holidays, sometimes the music would shut off and I could hear loud hallway conversations from the business neighbors, 1-2x she answered her phone, and the 2-3x her next client would open her door during my session or after while I was still getting dressed... A few awkward moments but her massages were too worth it to keep returning. I'm so grateful I found her and I will definitely miss having her as my go to massage therapist.
