You can tell they genuinely care about their clients and are passionate about what they do. Every visit leaves me feeling relaxed, restored, and grateful I made the time for myself. I also have to give a huge shout-out to the front desk team -- Shelbi, Jocelyn, and Krista. They are always so friendly, helpful, and accommodating when it comes to scheduling. They make the entire process easy and stress-free, which is especially appreciated when life is already busy! And can we talk about the plants?! They are absolutely gorgeous and so incredibly well maintained. Honestly, I'm convinced a goddess has personally blessed them. They add such a beautiful, peaceful energy to the space and make Nurturing Touch feel like a little oasis. Between the talented therapists, wonderful front desk staff, and beautiful atmosphere, Nurturing Touch Massage is a place I'm always happy to return to. If you're looking for a place where you'll feel genuinely cared for from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave, I highly recommend Nurturing Touch Massage!

My experience was extremely disappointing, and the way this…read moresituation was handled by the front reception was unprofessional and lacked basic communication. I arrived approximately 5 minutes late for my appointment (11:20 a.m. for an 11:15 a.m. appointment) and had already communicated beforehand that I would be arriving at 11:18 a.m. I understand that late arrivals can affect appointment times, but what was never communicated was that this would result in losing treatment time or that choosing to reschedule to receive the full service would result in an $40 cancellation fee. Instead of clearly explaining the policy and giving me all the information upfront, I was told after the fact that the fee would be applied. I was charged $40 unfairly for a gift appointment from my friend, who is a weekly client at this establishment. After this experience, I have already encouraged her to take her business elsewhere. The massage therapist also did not provide a welcoming experience upon arrival. Rather than greeting me professionally and warmly, the interaction immediately felt as though I was an inconvenience and that the shortened appointment was being emphasized instead of trying to provide a positive client experience. Policies are one thing, but communication and customer service matter. Unfortunately, this establishment failed in both areas.

Friendly staff!! Fresh looking and very clean place (including private rooms, stations, bathroom, shower, etc.). I had the 60 minutes full body massage, including heated stones. I had not expected that service, but was a wonderful experience. They also provide a 90 minutes massage, foot reflexology therapy, etc. Prices vary... I recommend you treating yourself here too!!

I honestly do not even know where to start. I was a regular customer at Ji Long Xing Massage for…read moreover three years and would rave about this place anytime someone asked me where to get a good massage in Roseville. I always recommended them, especially because of the wonderful experiences I had with Lucy and later Leena. Lucy left the establishment a few years ago, and today I unfortunately found out that Leena recently left as well. I called this afternoon to schedule a 6:00 p.m. appointment with Leena and was informed that she was no longer working there. I specifically asked the woman on the phone if anyone working today could provide medium-to-gentle pressure. She assured me that they had someone available whose massage style was similar to Leena's. Based on that recommendation, I agreed to the appointment and arrived on time. My massage therapist was Jessica, and unfortunately, her technique was anything but gentle. At the beginning of the appointment, I explained that I had been doing a lot of walking recently and asked if she could please focus more attention on my feet. My feet were left until the very end of the massage, and she spent approximately two minutes on each foot. More concerning was the amount of pressure being used. I repeatedly asked Jessica to use softer, gentler pressure because I bruise easily. Lucy and Leena had always understood and respected this. Instead, Jessica responded that "harder is better pressure" and continued using hard pressure despite my requests. I am extremely disappointed that the establishment recommended Jessica after I specifically asked for someone who could provide medium-to-gentle pressure. I would have much rather been told that no one available that evening could accommodate my preference. Instead, I left feeling as though getting me in for an appointment was more important than listening to what I was actually requesting as a longtime customer. If Samantha had been there, I would have felt comfortable speaking with her directly about my experience. Unfortunately, after being a loyal customer for more than three years, this experience has made me decide to look for another massage establishment. I also chose not to leave a tip because I was unhappy with the service. As I was getting ready to walk out the door, the woman at the register asked me, "You do not want to give her a little something tip?" I responded no. After an already disappointing experience, being questioned about not leaving a tip made the situation even more uncomfortable. It is genuinely disappointing to write this review because this was once a place I recommended so highly and visited regularly. I wish my concerns and requests had been listened to and respected.

I might go back for an individual service, but would not recommend for a "spa day"…read more For my 40th birthday, I was gifted a spa day from my family. I spent almost two months looking at the Serenity Spa website and picking out exactly the services I wanted. I was GIDDY! I landed on the Indian Head Therapy, a facial, and then a chakra balancing massage, which a lunch in between. The facial and massage were both great. I would go back for each of those individually, for sure. The chakra balancing massage, in particular, was DELIGHTFUL. The Indian Head Therapy was so bizarre and not at all what I hoped for. It felt like the person who was supposed to do this treatment canceled at the last minute and they asked the esthetician if she could fill in. She started with my hands which immediately confused me because it's supposed to be head, neck and shoulders focused. It was super disappointing and I LOVE any and all head massages, but even when she got to my head, she was barely massaging it - I don't know how to describe it, but would not recommend. The layout of this spa makes the spa day not super ideal. In your robe, you have to traipse through the store front of the lobby, holding this super awkward basket full of all your belongings. I just felt so exposed and vulnerable naked in a robe, walking through a store! Lunch was $40. When I saw this on the website, I thought "oh! fancy lunch with some champagne! LOVE THIS!" and I was so excited. Now, I will say, I should have asked for details and I didn't, but lunch was a choice of salads or sandwiches, an iced tea and a Costco chocolate chip cookie. I would have said that $12 was a reasonable price for this meal. $20 would be a stretch. $40 was absolutely ridiculous. Like in ZERO worlds was that a $40 meal. The sandwich was a pesto chicken sandwich and it was tasty, but honestly, I was so confused by the price and the menu that I was distracted by that. Another thing to mention is the general vibe of the spa. I can't think of any other way to say this, so here goes: It feels as if everyone that works there is nervous about getting in trouble from someone and then they just panic snip at each other to try to prevent people from getting in trouble. The vibe is that everyone is on edge, nervous, cranky, worried. Especially the people at the front desk were overly friendly but then kinda snipping at each other or at the people providing the services and then rolling their eyes at each other. It was a really odd vibe. So, all in all, I might go back for a single massage or facial, but I wouldn't choose this for a spa day. Things that would greatly improve this place: 1. Lockers or a place to store things that doesn't involve awkwardly carrying a basket. 2. Some sort of passageway that does not involve walking naked through the lobby to your next service. 3. Some sort of meal improvement - either a glass of champagne and a lunch upgrade or a SIGNIFICANT price decrease. Also the Costco cookie was so insulting - even a slightly fancier dessert might have taken the edge of the price off... 4. A more pleasant vibe - it wasn't at all how people talked to me, it was how they spoke to each other. It was stressful to hear people clearly upset with each other. And it wasn't just 1-2 people - it was how everyone interacted with one another. Weird.
