When I got my first ever massage yesterday. I came from Sierra college, needed a much needed massage for work extremely hard in school. I chose this place, for at first I was searching around, someone replied back to me on this Yelp plat form about a thirty minute massage for fifty dollars, I pulled out my twenty dollar bills, and handed now I know her name is Joanne? Sixty dollars, which then she was trying to get me some change, yet I told her to keep it for it is a tip for her before actually starting on me... The massage was much needed mainly because I am traumatically disabled. I told her that I would like medium pressure, not too hard, nor too soft. This is just another review, because I am not able to locate the other review the other day; with a ten dollar head on tip before starting her work on me, could have left somewhat happier ending? Yet it is all good I suppose? That I think there is absolutely zero indications of some human trafficking, nor some sort of slave working? I honestly do not even know where to start. I was a regular customer at Ji Long Xing Massage for over three years and would rave about this place anytime someone asked me where to get a good massage in Roseville. I always recommended them, especially because of the wonderful experiences I had with Lucy and later Leena. Lucy left the establishment a few years ago, and today I unfortunately found out that Leena recently left as well. I called this afternoon to schedule a 6:00 p.m. appointment with Leena and was informed that she was no longer working there. I specifically asked the woman on the phone if anyone working today could provide medium-to-gentle pressure. She assured me that they had someone available whose massage style was similar to Leena's. Based on that recommendation, I agreed to the appointment and arrived on time. My massage therapist was Jessica, and unfortunately, her technique was anything but gentle. At the beginning of the appointment, I explained that I had been doing a lot of walking recently and asked if she could please focus more attention on my feet. My feet were left until the very end of the massage, and she spent approximately two minutes on each foot. More concerning was the amount of pressure being used. I repeatedly asked Jessica to use softer, gentler pressure because I bruise easily. Lucy and Leena had always understood and respected this. Instead, Jessica responded that "harder is better pressure" and continued using hard pressure despite my requests. I am extremely disappointed that the establishment recommended Jessica after I specifically asked for someone who could provide medium-to-gentle pressure. I would have much rather been told that no one available that evening could accommodate my preference. Instead, I left feeling as though getting me in for an appointment was more important than listening to what I was actually requesting as a longtime customer. If Samantha had been there, I would have felt comfortable speaking with her directly about my experience. Unfortunately, after being a loyal customer for more than three years, this experience has made me decide to look for another massage establishment. I also chose not to leave a tip because I was unhappy with the service. As I was getting ready to walk out the door, the woman at the register asked me, "You do not want to give her a little something tip?" I responded no. After an already disappointing experience, being questioned about not leaving a tip made the situation even more uncomfortable. It is genuinely disappointing to write this review because this was once a place I recommended so highly and visited regularly. I've had massages by 3 different people here and they have all been excellent at deep tissue. It's also easy to get in for an appointment with little notice and I love that they do seated foot massage too. Also the prices are great. Just make sure you communicate exactly what you want to the English speaking person that checks you in so they can relay it to the therapist. Once you're in the massage room, communication is challenging if you want to give them any special instructions. Oven thing they do here that I don't like is that they start the massage with the sheet covering your whole body and sort of press on your body through the sheet. I guess this is to loosen you up, but for me is a waste of 20 minutes, as I would find there wasn't enough time to spend on my legs or something at the end. Last night I asked them to skip that part and it made a big difference. My initial therapist YoYo is gone. The two I've tried since then are Lisa and Jason and they both were very good. read more

This place is a gem & I'm so happy I stumbled into it. I took my MIL for a 90 minute massage date on New Year's Day. I called for availability and they were able to book us within the next hour. We arrived 15 minutes before our appointment. There is plenty of parking in the plaza. The receptionist checked us in and asked us to complete some forms so make sure you come a few minutes before your appointment. They do ask for your address but the form explains why. I had Nancy & my MIL had Joanna. They led us into our own rooms. The murals in the rooms were cute. The place was clean. The massage was perfect for me. I asked for deep tissue & Nancy delivered! She listened to my requests and she knew how to address each of them. The massages are reasonably priced & they do charge $2 if you pay with card. My MIL & I walked out feeling so refreshed and excited for the new year! We even talked about sending my husband & FIL! Thank you so much Nancy & Joanna! PS. Tip your massage therapists well. Took a day to think about my experience. Yesterday my girlfriend and I scheduled a couple's organic oil massage. We selected the "deep tissue" and "hot stone" options online where we booked. Between the 2 of us, we have gotten dozens of professional massages before. We showed up at 4:43PM for a 5:00PM appointment and were greeted by a seemingly kind woman in a pink dress. She was very welcoming and handed us a clipboard to fill out. The form asked us to clarify our desired focus areas and any pre-existing medical conditions that may be impacted by a massage. As soon as we completed the forms we were directed to our couples room where 2 female masseuses ushered us in. We were instructed to remove as much clothing as we preferred and to get on the massage table face down. (pretty standard so far) As soon as they closed the door, we began preparing ourselves for the massage. Not 30 seconds later did we hear a knock on the door. "Not ready yet" I responded. I helped my partner lay on the bed and draped the sheet over her. Not another 30 seconds had passed before we heard another knock on the door. "1 second please, almost ready" I replied. I hurriedly got on top of my massage table and draped myself with the sheet. I then let them know we were ready. At 4:49PM the 2 ladies opened the door immediately and got to work. No words were exchanged. (kinda odd, but not super unordinary) //Prior to selecting this specific massage parlor, I had done some research online and read reviews on this Yelp page. Another patron had stated that the massage usually consists of the first 15-20 minutes warming your body up through the sheet and said it was a waste of time. To be honest... I agree with them after my experience. For the first 20 minutes of the massage, I felt like I was being rubbed down through the sheet rather than the "deep tissue" massage we had paid for. On the sheet during our intake my partner had specified her focus areas to be her feet and her shoulders/neck. On my sheet I had solely specified my neck, traps, and upper back. After the initial "warm up", my masseuse started working on my shoulders. "Here we go!" I thought to myself... For the next 5 minutes, my masseuse poked my upper back with her thumbs, not applying much pressure. "Can you add a little more pressure please?" She proceeded to switch from her thumbs to her elbow increasing her pressure 10-fold. She had 0 sense of control. Her elbow pressed consistently through my shoulder blade, upper spine, and up my skull causing me sharp pain. I asked if she could "maybe not that hard" hoping the decrease in effort would allow her to be more precise with her motions. She gave a small chuckle and reverted back to her light thumb technique barely pressing my skin. //I gave up on asking for the correct amount of pressure because it was clear she was improperly taught or she didn't care enough to do it properly. By the time she had finished "working on my focus areas", the knots in my traps had not been touched nor kneaded out. As she moved on to the rest of the general massage I overheard her whisper to her colleague working on my girlfriend "how much time is left?" in mandarin Chinese (I am fluent, clearly they didn't realize). //If the above was not evidence enough that the masseuses could care less about the work they were doing, they were now running down the shot clock to "wrap up" the "massage". The massage ended and as I went to pay the bill, I did not complain about the service. I paid the full amount and even left a tip. As my girlfriend and I were walking out of the establishment, the women who had just taken our payment straight scoffed and said in Chinese to another lady "they only tipped $X". The BLATANT disrespect was unbelieveable. I am a proud Chinese person, but visiting this establishment made me feel pretty disappointed with how the people working there choose to represent our culture. CONCLUSION (TLDR) - Not worth the price for what you get - Employees are focused on speed and are not invested in your pain - Openly disrespectful/not afraid to badmouth you in front of your face - The "organic" oil has caused me to breakout all over my back with pimples - The rooms we were in was not very clean and dust kickup caused me to have allergies the entire duration of the massage. read more

Super clean and welcoming when you walk in. They went over my options upon arrival and helped me select the service I was in the mood for. I went with a 60 minute combo that focused on my feet and also included my scalp, face, shoulders, lower back, glutes, and legs. It was seated in a chaise, which was comfy. I definitely achieved flow state. My masseuse, Jason, had a healing touch and I left feeling like I gave myself the best Mother's Day present ever. Offered me chocolate and water after my massage which was a nice touch. Will definitely be going back to try out a full body massage next time. Was too lazy to get undressed today. I needed a massage desperately while in Sac. Found Ji Long on Yelp. Her communication with questions I had was quick and informative. Made a 90 minute appointment for a deep tissue massage, same day. Location is in a plaza. Facility is inviting and I was greeted immediately upon arrival. Rooms are clean and music appropriate for myself while getting a massage. I had a male massage therapist. He worked my knots in my shoulders out as well as my neck. I was so stiff and in so much pain. He had strong hands and knew what he was doing. Throughout the 90 minutes, he would make sure the pressure was comfortable. Overall, I left feeling great. The only negative was that I charged my visit and was charged an additional $2 because I was using a credit card. It would have been nice to be told that prior to charging me out. read more

I love this Ji Long Xing massage business. I have been going there off and on for a while and each time I go I've tried different treatments but my all time favorite is a combination foot and body massage for 1 hour. Most of their therapist are really good but most recently, I had Jason who was exceptional. Samantha, the manager there told Jason exactly what I wanted and he did exactly what I needed. My husband and I did a couples foot session for Mother's Day and Samantha set us up with Jason and another lady who was also excellent. You can't go wrong with their service there. Yoyo was my masseuse, and she asked how much pressure I wanted and checked in a couple times during the massage to make sure I was getting the right pressure. She found areas I didn't even know needed to be treated. My wife's masseuse was treating her just as well, making sure there was enough pressure, but not too much to hurt. She was in heaven! I tipped $12 on a one hour massage even though it was ten minutes shy of the full hour AND the woman interrupted the massage, about 20 minutes into it and had me complete the intake paperwork because she forgot to do it at the beginning. Given the service, I thought that was good. She should have received nothing. I won't be back and encourage others to find a different massage salon. read more

The first time me and my husband came in it was good, they did try to achieve what we wanted, but also wished they did a little more on our lower back. We really appreciated it and we even gave good tips. So we decided to have my mom come in the next day, they gave us paper to circle areas needed to be worked on. We did. But the lady did not do her leg where it hurts and needs some work. And even left the room for a long time. Then at the end, she demanded tip! Don't get us wrong, we appreciate these physical workers that works with their heart and deserve a tip, but the fact you chased people for tip when you didn't do what they wished you would. Nope! But we left a tip anyway for the pain in their hands and how annoyed the lady just stand right there and trying to make sure she is getting a tip without you running away.
