Massageluxe is always impeccably clean and welcoming. The staff always greets you with a smile and they aren't pushy or rude. It's very quiet and peaceful in the massage rooms as well and the hydro massage bed is a pretty cool added feature to memberships. As far as the massage therapists go, they are all great, but I HIGHLY recommend Lucas. He is very skilled with his hands and attentive to your problem areas. When we arrived, I stated to the owner our conversation and gave him the coupons and wanted to prepay and he said we would settle after service. Zero star if I could. They are practicing deceptive advertising. The receptionist would tell you that you need to keep your membership for a month and cancel anytime when you sign up but then what it really means is that you have to keep it two months because you have to be charged twice. The massage quality is also not good that I dont' want to go back so essentially I had to pay two months membership fees for one hour terrible massage. Definitely going to report it to BBB. I previously wrote a review, a 5 star review and have had a membership with massage luxe for 16 months. Go to Lori for all facials, she's amazing! Today was my first bad experience. I usually go to Lori but she was not available this week so I went to a new lady (not sure what her name is, she's Spanish). I asked for microdermabrasion. She did not know what services I had in the past, didn't even take the 5 minutes to read about my history with massage luxe. Treated me like I was at the doctors office (clothes stay on, shoes stay on, no relaxing setting except the music). I've had microderm with Lori before and it was a totally different experience (she's awesome!). Microderm was too harsh and had to ask her to turn it down 3 times. Afterwards I informed the front desk (the owner!) that I was really disappointed and that she was unprofessional. He replied with "everyone requests her" "want a glass of wine". I called after thinking about canceling my membership and he said he had to get her side of the story. The fact that the facial was unprofessional and awful!? What facts does he need!? The owner said he would call me back after talking to her, 4 hours later I call him back and he says "I'll give you a free hour" no thanks because of your poor customer service! Reason why I have (in the process) cancelled my membership. Lori is awesome and so are many of the massage therapists but I will not put my money into a business that doesn't value their loyal customers! I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

This was by far the worst massage I have ever received and my husband felt the same way about his. We both made an appointment for a deep tissue massage and received a weak Swedish at best. I've had a few massages in my life and it seemed to me that the massage therapist had no background in massaging. I even explicitly asked him to focus on problem areas which he completely ignored much like my request to apply more pressure. If you live in the area, drive the extra mile and go to Massage Envy at the Montgomery Shopping Center! The prices are the same (+/- a dollar or two) but what you get will be worth it. Went in here the other day to get a massage and it was a good experience. As most people have said, the water bed experience is lackluster. It's better then sitting in a chair waiting for your massage, but not something I would choose after my massage or come in solely for. The prices are reasonable, and they do a great deal for introductory offers. They say "Spa Week" but it's really a permanent promotion (the signs reflected Spa Week had expired already). It was $50 for a 90-minute massage, and I decided to sign up for a monthly membership (just under $80 for a monthly 90-minute and I believe it was a 15% discount on additional services) and they gave me the initial 90-minute massage free! They do require a 2-month initial commitment, but otherwise it's fairly easy to cancel. It is pretty standard across the industry that they will require you to come in-person to cancel. The massage itself was great. It was actually my first time having a male masseuse, and he was able to get a lot of work in on my lats. He knew right away where the problems were and what caused them without me having to tell him, which was great. He also mixed the deep tissue on my back with a bit more of a sports massage (stretching and relaxing the muscle worked in) and ended with 3 simple stretch recommendations to help with working the key problem areas. Overall, a good experience. And since I signed up for the membership, it should be obvious that I will visit again. read more

I travel 40 minutes from my home just to get my massage here. I pre-book with my therapist, Lucas, monthly to ensure I am covered. He is the greatest in my opinion. The. staff is friendly and goes out of their way to accommodate me. My daughter and husband also signed up to get monthly massages. They have a variety of therapists to meet your preferences. Horrible experience . There is this guy in front desk named Derek who will force you to become a member and if you refuse , he wants to know why and gets very pushy . He quotes a different price and service charge when you make an appointment . After service he will add extra without you knowing about it and charges 50% no kidding it is 50% ) service charge on top I that . So if you are bill is $100, you will be asked to pay $50 as tip .. I went today to avail my $35 Groupon for a one hour deep tissue massage and it was just a perfect experience! From the moment I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the friendly front desk gentleman, Dylan, even if he was busy with another customer. I was immediately offered with hot tea or water. I, like many other people, came here because of the Groupon deal. Being a guy, I don't have much experience with massages but overall I enjoyed it here. First you take a relatively quick survey about your massage preferences and shortly after your masseuse comes and gets you. Ours were pleasant and nice enough and did a great job throughout the massage. At times the swedish massage felt borderline deep tissue but they ask if it's too much or too soft. The luxe water massage is pretty much just a waterbed that massages you and it's something that you can probably find in the mall. My sisters and I came to Massage Luxe for Spa Week. They had a 90 minute massage special that included a 15 minute hydrobed session for $50 (originally $112). We intended to get to the spa 20 min before our appointment but because of route 1 and route 27 traffic we cut it really close. As we were filling out our first time customer questionare on their ipads, the receptionist kept answering the phone with directions to the spa. Apparently, depending on what device you GPS the direction, it gives different routes. So to anyone looking for landmarks to this location, its in the same shopping center as CVS, Cold Stone ice cream and Fitness 19 gym. The shopping center is next to a BP gas station. The waiting area has comfortable couches and chairs and is kept neat. We were offered water as we waited for our massage therapist to call us in to the room. My therapist seemed to be on the shy side. He led me into the room and asked me if there were areas I wanted him to focus on and if I had gone for massages before. I asked for firm massage and thats exactly what I got. I began to relax and found myself drifting off to sleep at one point. After 90 mins, I was offered water and led back to the receptionist area. My sister was in the hydrobed so I chatted with the receptionist while waiting my turn in the hydrobed. She was super friendly! She offered to explain about the monthly program. I told her that I wasn't interested but if there was a location closer to my house, maybe I'd consider it. She continued to say that there might be another location opening up up north and thst she'll keep me posted via email. The hydrobed was interesting. You lay on a rubber bed (with your clothes on) for 15 minutes. It shoots water jets up and down your back and legs as you lay in top of the bed. Pretty cool but I think I would skip it next time I'm here. Overall I had a good experience. If they ofer this deal beyond spa week, I highly recommend it! read more

I went here on a Groupon. The place is nice and clean. The ambience is good. But as for the massage - I've had better. It doesn't feel like my masseuse had the proper training. First to review! How exciting. Now that I've had ONE other professional massage, I have something to compare this one to. My mom bought me another Groupon valid for a 1 hr Swedish Massage or Deep Tissue Masssage so I took the drive out to Kendal Park to redeem it. Im not a fan of deep tissue massages so I went with the Swedish Massage. This place is located in a large shopping plaza and so its a great storefront location. When I walked in, I kinda felt like I was walking into a tanning salon. It just had that vibe. It has a decent sized waiting area with couches, a few shelves featuring products for sale, and a large counter on the left where they check you in with a fancy lil Ipad. I'll admit, the Ipad made it a lot easier and faster to register and answer questions. Very shortly after completing the questionnaire, my massage therapist greeted me in the waiting area and led me to the room. (I think his name was Robinson? I'm horrible with remembering names). The place is much bigger than it appears. There had to be somewhere around 10 others rooms. The ceilings are high, the decor is simple, and the lights are dim. Relaxing music was playing but at certain points I could here someone talking pretty loudly in another room which kinda ruined the mood. On to the massage. The massage therapist was really good with knowing when to apply more or less pressure. Prior to starting he also asked if there were any parts of my body that were extra sore or tense. I told him my feet were pretty bad from being on them all day at work, so he did a good job paying extra attention to that. As usual, I was basically melting into the amazingly soft massage table. At one point he even had to ask me if I was asleep! It's so hard to get up from that warm relaxing table and into the cold again. My body felt soooo wonderful afterwards (and soft from all the lotion!). The Groupon also included a 15 minute hydrolux massage but I didnt really care too much for that. Its basically a rubber waterbed that applies water pressure. I could've done without it honestly. I can now say Im 2 for 2 on positive professional massage experiences! My account is currently frozen right now but i generally have a good experience whenever i go. They have good customer service and always want us to be comfortable. The facial and body massages are a little above average and if you set up an account, you can get either facial or body massage for just $55 & tax. I've had $120 facials before and it's not any better than this and they are maybe 45min when this is an hour long. The owner is very nice and i even brought my mom here for the experience. You can schedule for any time and you can always get an appointment. The place is pretty big and has a lot of rooms. They serve you tea while waiting and you can also use the hydro-bed. I paid the intro price of $48/hr, which seemed very reasonable. Got a deep Swedish massage from Lauree. She was really nice and I was immediately put at ease by her manner. Since this is my first official Yelp review, I decided to write a review on a massage I got recently. The level of service I received definitely warrants a solid review. I live in Cali but visit the east coast to see my family so I don't have a membership here, but I have been to this spa several times over the year. Anyway - I got a swedish massage with Infini. She was absolutely incredible. I got massages in different spas across the country as well as overseas, and I can say with confidence, she was amazing. Her attention to detail was spot on, she sprayed lavender spray on the face cushion, asked about my problem areas which I know is standard but she really listened. She had the perfect pressure, I didn't have to tell her to go lighter or harder, trust me this is really hard to find. I was in such a deep state of relaxation, I fell asleep on the table. That does not happen, I am usually tense throughout the sessions. Also this is a membership encouraged spa - so what I do like is that they don't push memberships on me. If I still lived local to the area I'd be all over it because I was that impressed with Infini . I know this place got mixed reviews, but I must say that if you do go, ask for Infini. Prices are pretty reasonable as well - paid $112 for a 90 min massage as a non-member, not bad in my opinion. read more

I've been going to this Massage Luxe in Kendall Park for the past year for massages with Shanaaz...She is amazing at pinpointing your problem areas and is always very attentive to your needs. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Shari and Derek at the front desk always help me fit in the appointments and they always work with my crazy schedule. I read a review where a customer was unhappy with the tipping policy , and to be honest, I've never had an issue. I'd recommend Shanaaz for massages here...she is truly amazing. read more

I'm not sure if the previous reviews are fake, but the Massage Luxe in Kendall Park is terrible! Admittedly, the decor and hydro bed are great, but the massages are awful. I've been to several different professional massage salons and the massages here are not worth their costs (maybe at the discount rate I suppose, but even that's a stretch). The hour massages are really like 40-45 minutes long and and feel like amateur backrubs. I went there about three or four times and never had a good experience. I explained this to one of the managers and she couldn't have cared any less. Honestly, there are sooo many massage salons, even in the area, that charge about the same as Massage Luxe but give you legitimate spa treatment. You wouldn't pay fine dining prices for a big mac so likewise you shouldn't pay spa prices for a $5 backrub. read more

Am Terribly disappointed..the manager Sapan ( I think that's his name ) was rude. Been a member for more than a year. After having a massage session with Nicole ( she did well ) I hadn't have enough money to tip ( I assume it's something you should not be forced to ) but since I liked Nicole I decided to book her for next session right away.. ( and intended to bring cash next time for her ) And I left the facility. Later on I get a call from the owner stating that I did not tip enough and quote " it's like ordering things from a restaurant and not paying the bill" and " you should be returning some care to those people who do something caring for you... And that he really do not call for something like this but he had to and since therapist don't get paid good .. Tips are huge for them so I should tip them well for being cared for ... And on and on.. So I tried explaining to him why it happened.. I apologized.. And said I didn't want to use my credit card and whatever cash I had I gave it to her and also made an another appointment.. So then he asked me quote " so will you be paying today's and next sessions tip also when I come there again ??!!! And got really pissed off when he said its like ordering something and not paying for it ! Duh !!! What about the monthly 95 dollars that automatically get charged from my card ! I have always tipped them good. Lately I don't recieve what I want and and when I want from them, so was starting to be unhappy about the service .. But that's when I tried Nicole who turned out to be good and I did want to book further with her and that's what I did that same I day I had massage with her .. Which I never do .. And I left the place. Instead that's when later the day the manager called me over phone and gave me lecture on " how to tip and since I am member I am already getting a reduced price so I a should be generous in tipping ... And rest of the quotes as I mentioned above ( felt somewhat threatened as if I robbed his store kind of ) and so many other things that I didn't want to hear too long, and wasting my time.. No matter what, truly disappointing and would not recommend it as a place of relaxation unless if you intend to tip a fortune. This isn't any rating about Nicole though.. She did her part well. Have had the massage and the facial and they were both decent but not great. The massage was better and the masseuse provided tips on simple self-massage techniques that I could do at home. But the facial by Lori was really lackluster. Very little effort on extractions to really clean out the pores and no explanation at all on what was being applied to the face or what kind of facial was necessary for my skin.
