DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE MEMBERSHIP! You're stuck for a yearly contract. After cancelling my membership, I kept getting billed $90+ monthly for 3 more months! (They have everything in record, so they know I was out of the membership). Every time I tried getting in contact with the manager, the staff claims she's "out the office" and there's nothing they can do on their end. I end up calling the bank to get reimbursed and had to chancel my card just to stop the ridiculousness. They portray service as if they care, but in reality the manager is just hungry for numbers to boost herself up the ladder as if she's making an impact to the world. I got a membership to Massage Envy for my birthday and I was thrilled! I have had 2 different services since joining and both were stellar. My first appointment was for a massage with MariAnn. She spoke to me in depth before we even began and explained what the focus of the massage would be based on my needs. MariAnn hit all my sore spots with pressure suited to my preference. I felt totally relaxed and relieved after our session. They really need to offer naptimes. My second appointment, I booked a facial and had an extra 30min coupon. My technician was Sylvia. What a wonderful experience. She explained everything that was happening and why. When I left, I was literally glowing. Sylvia left me with a few recommendations which I intend on following up on. She always asks about areas of concern at the beginning and modifies based on our conversation while checking in if I need more or less pressure in areas where she can tell I might. She genuinely cares how the session went and asks afterwards. I've had many massages and a lot of therapists have their process (it's clear they just do the same thing over and over) and then basically "tap out" and leave the room. Not Melissa! I was reluctant based on a few reviews till looking at the reviewers other reviews (some people are unhappy no matter what :-/), that made me confident that there were other issues not related to this location. This office was great! They were responsive and provided great customer service on the phone, in-person, and after my session. My actual session was superb, heaven, and I couldn't recommend Donna enough... my anxiety was wiped away by her sweet but professional nature. You can't go wrong with her! I love the therapists here, but it's time to cancel my membership. I called for an an appointment and texted upon my arrival. Since I did not get a reply back, I walked inside and waited for my therapist (2 pm appointment). At 2:15 pm, I was notified that my therapist was not coming even though I was officially booked. Apparently no one notified her that I was added to the schedule. This was a huge waste of my time and unacceptable. The "text when you arrive" is another waste of time. The front desk staff rarely get back to you on time and you are left sitting in your car. I have had other issues at this location and I am tired of paying monthly for this type of service. I did ask (twice) that the manager contact me but never heard a peep. Once all my current sessions are used, I will be canceling my membership and looking elsewhere. read more

This is not my home location, but I am very happy with the quality of services provided by this Massage Envy. Yay for going anywhere in the US and being a member! I came here yesterday to de-stress and Andrea, my massage therapist did a phenomenal job. I felt like I was experiencing the second coming of Jesus Christ, it was so good! It seems as though "deep pressure" here is significantly different than what my fiancé and I have experienced back home at those Massage Envy locations. Andrea worked all of the kinks out of my shoulders, back, feet, and back of my head, some I didn't even know were there. She also does this crazy pressure point face massage, feels so great afterward! Her style is very similar to the pressure and attention I have had with Thai massages, and there were points that it really hurt, but that released all the pressure in my body and I woke up today feeling like a brand new me! My fiancé said his massage hurt so much, he was screaming, but feels like a million bucks today. We both highly recommend this location if you are searching for a massage envy. Its larger than most facilities we have seen in Hawaii, very well staffed, and super clean. I'd only recommend turning up the lights at the end of the session. Went here for a relaxing massage after a lot of travel. Husband and I booked together but a communication error made it so that we weren't in the same room. Not a big deal really, except that maybe if I was in the same room with him my masseur would have been quiet. The massage was okay, I've had better. I might have enjoyed it more if the woman working on me wasn't so chatty ... nothing more annoying than trying to relax and unwind and having to participate in small talk. I have been a member of Massage Envy for over 1 year and I am very happy with the Lawrenceville location. Over the past year I have tried 3 different therapists, Bridget being the latest. She applies deep pressure which is great and is very thorough when concentrating on problem areas. I highly recommend her. The other two therapists I have seen over the past year. Cris and Silvia, applied less pressure and were more of a relaxing massage. Good also if that is what you want. read more

This was the first time I left a massage very unhappy. I received a gift card to massage envy for $50. The person gifting it probably did not realize the prices here were crazy, as I did not know either. I booked a 60min which is really 50mins. I marked back, neck and feet as focus areas when I booked online. When you go in they have you fill our forms where you note this again and I noted the same. The masseuse didn't even touch my feet which with every other massage I have had is always part of it anyway even if you don't note it. plus she really only did my upper back and really did not do much on the lower back which was really what I was looking for. Also there were people talking in the next room the whole time and not quietly, so it wasn't really a relaxing environment. $150+tip is severely overpriced. I've had better massages at local places for less which include the add ins they charge for here, plus hand and stone is $70 for one hour MUCH more reasonable. Will not be coming back. read more

You get what you pay for. I made the mistake of signing up for the 6 session massage package after a so-so initial massage because they offered me such an enticing price to do so. I figured that even though I didn't care much for my first therapist, I would be able to find someone I liked, and given the cheap price, it was worth a shot. I figured wrong. I tried four therapists before giving up and leaving Massage Envy for good, even though I had already paid for two additional massages. The therapists were simply not very skilled and inattentive to my requests. Three of the four had little strength and the fourth used her strength to hurt me. The only reason I'm giving Massage Envy more than one star is that management genuinely tried to help me find someone I liked. However, if they had a therapist that was highly skilled, I think that person would leave for a place where they would get paid more. read more

So I've had massage envy in other states which have been good and prior to COVID they seemed good, too. I'm in the healthcare industry and I've been quarantined a few times, etc. initially they allowed me to freeze my account but back at the end of October I started to try to get in touch with someone to cancel my membership (which I've had well over a year since I transferred it from OH). I thought it was done, the a charge in November and when I called back the front desk person said the manager tried to call me... I had no e-mails, no voicemails or text messages... except to schedule my next session. I was told I'd have to speak with a manager, which are only there certain times. I made sure they had correct cellphone. Still nothing... I ended up getting exposed to another positive person and tried calling again while I was home. Same thing. I thought this time with the explanation that I wasn't sure how long this whole COVID thing was going to continue.... I didn't feel right being in such a close environment!! Why won't they just let me cancel... I'm trying to be responsible. I also don't want to continue racking up massages when I have no idea when I will feel comfortable using them again... it still could be months or more than a year! read more

Whatever you do, don't sign up for the membership. My boyfriend signed up for the membership and wasn't satisfied with his massage experience and decided to cancel. I called to cancel the subscription and the receptionist led me to believe she was canceling it. She said that someone would follow up to finalize it. They never did. At the same time, I scheduled an appointment to use the massage he had banked. When I went in for the massage it was okay. The massage therapist was nice but I have had better massages. So when I went to check out, the receptionist informed the manager that I wanted to cancel and they started asking me questions about the add-on services and my experience and I told them it was just okay. The manager asked if she had canceled it yet and the receptionist replied not yet. I noticed there was a charge on his debit card for October and when I called, the manager informed me that we couldn't cancel the membership because he was under contract, which was news to me. So now he is locked into a 12-month "contract" with subpar massages. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I love this place! I see Donna every 3 weeks and I have a monthly membership and I am so pleased with her that I bought a membership as a gift for my daughter. I have fibromyalgia and other health issues and Donna works with me and makes me feel soooo good after my massage! I look forward to seeing her and to having my massage. She is professional, experienced, asks how I am feeling and what I need. I am always greeted at the front desk with a smile and hello by staff. In my 8 years I've only had two different massage therapist work on me. They are both excellent in their craft. I think it's just a matter of finding a good "fit" for what your needs are. I had a wonderful experience at the Princeton location! I had a gift for a massage and after reading the reviews, made an appointment with Mariann. The check in process was quick and easy. When I went to the room, Mariann was professional, kind and explained the process. She asked me what areas I wanted to work on and then explained her approach, making sure I understood that I could let her know during the massage if I needed more or less pressure. Once I found the right masseuse (Micheal), the one who applies just the right amount of therapeutic massage pressure to treat my chronic neck and lower back conditions, I was all set. In the process, however, I met 3 or 4 others who were very good too. As far as I'm concerned, you can't go wrong with any of the therapists you choose. I went for massage here and used a gift certificate worth about 250$ The therapist did not even ask me what kind of massage i would prefer and started giving me a swedish?? massage, which ended up hurting my back. People here are not trained properly and do not even pay attention to their client needs and i actually had to go to visit my doctor because of this pain , the therapist(???) used too much of pressure on my nerve and actually ended up hurting me, what a moron? I bought a membership for monthly massages from Massage Envy, Larwenceville location in Mercer Mall. I am very happy with firm and targeted massages I get from Donna and Tiffany. Both of them are very professional and have nice personalities. Tiffany works great on my sinuses, head, neck and specific back muscles and Donna is excellent with feet, my back and head. and other areas. I joined Massage Envy after moving to the area last year. The prices are reasonable, especially if you are someone who likes to get massages frequently. Every month I tried someone new, and consistently was disappointed, until I happened to get a massage with Kevin who was fantastic! If all the masseus's were like him, this place would be 5 stars for sure. The problem is that it's almost impossible to get an appointment with him. There was a masseus named Charmagne who manipulated my neck/throat and I couldn't move my neck for several days afterward. Since I liked Kevin, I was referred to Mahwah who was good enough, so I finished out my contracted massages with him. He uses gloves which felt odd at times, and on 2 different occasions left the room in the middle of the massage, once to pee and once to "get something." The front desk staff was consistently friendly and helpful. The place is clean. Without great masseus's though, it's not enough for me. read more
