7/27/26 Spoke w/ Mira in charge of pest Control as well as other services. I needed help w/understanding what some of my contract verbiage meant in terms of what I received for service and who I should be speaking to about a few concerns. She was extremely patient. When she knew another manager might be able to assist further(because it wasn't an area she addressed); she made sure that I knew she had sent a communication to that individual so that he could further assist if appropriate. She asked more than once if there was anything more she could help me with, and likewise shared she would help again in the future if I needed further assistance; even if it wasn't her area, she would find the right dept./service, gladly. my back yard is a wasteland of dead grass and weeds. I've had Massey do my lawn and irrigation for over 2 years. when they came out to look at it I was recommended that the yard be resodded. my neighbors yards look fine. said "possible" fungus but none of this was noted on my invoices. I've lived in my home for 12 years and my yard has never looked so bad. don't use them. there are plenty of other lawn care people out there! read more

I have chosen to be a COME BACK customer of Massey Services. I tried another company and decided Massey's was better.They have made a lot of positive changes to their personnel and the service they provide. I paid for a yearly quarterly service for indoor and outdoor pest control in November. After 2 weeks there were 2 large ant hills in my yard. I waited a bit to complain and they did come out in December for the outdoor part. However, they did nothing for indoor OR outdoor since and it's March 26th. The woman on the phone said Ma'am the service is quarterly. DUH, they should have been out in February. For BOTH inside AND outside. Do they think b/c they treated what was NOT effective in November in mid December they can wait until late March or April to treat my yard AND the inside. I can treat the issues for a fraction of the cost by using the bug sachets and using my spreader to treat bugs. I'll just do that. I AM reliable. read more

When I spent nearly $7,000 on just my very small front yard for sod, I was happy. But then I had an issue with the sprinklers they installed and they wanted to charge me to repair it. I said no. They finally agreed to repair it and no cost, but they repaired the pipe with glue instead of replacing the pipe itself. Of course, PVC pipe and glue with water will never last and it broke. Now my yard is dead because it hasn't been watered and they want to charge me to fix it even though they didn't do it correctly. I fell bad for the general employees because management falling down on training and running the show makes it hard on the rest of the staff. NEVER recommend them! I spend over $1400 annually for pest and landscaping and do not get quality work. Very disgusted. I will tell everyone I know and review on multiple sites what unreliable terrible work they do. read more

I have been using Massey services for landscaping, pest control, inspections for almost 10 years, the last two years have been two years from hell. I have called about my landscaping here and there for over two years and all I get is it's someone else's faultfault, it It's never their fault and it's never been fixed. It's all over my yard, not just in certain places I finally called and talked to Chris (landscaping manager)who came out and blamed everyone else I finally calledtold him that I was canceling the landscaping only his comment to me was" is there anything else I can do for you?" I have several other people out in my subdivision who has canceled Massey's landscaping so people please watch out. read more

Unreliable and customer service is terrible. It's definitely not a customer focused business. I specifically made an appt and the technician did not show up. When I called twice about this customer service said he would be there in an hour. The second time I called because he didn't show up they told me he would be there in a half hour. He didn't show. They don't even have the courtesy to follow up. read more

Please, please, please, do not use Massey Services for any service. We were using them for landscape and the technician did not know what he was doing. Marty. He sprayed the bushes and burned them to death. We had to replace 25 bushes in our front lawn Representative of our office. Deedra coming from Brooksville is not a reputable service rep. She said it was not Massey's fault. Also my previous technician KRIS put another technician's name on my report. We did get our $400 back but we had to pay for bushes!!! read more

This is on the irrigation contract we signed. I want to give me 5 negative stars. The contract asked for $425 for repairs (which isn't really any except changing a few sprinkler heads after 45 days wait). The gentleman came once in Sept and we have to pay the $70 quarterly charge and we only signed the contract 7/20. How is that a quarter. For a total of $495, it is a total rip off. Don't use them. read more

We have used Massey Lawn Services for going on 4 years. The lawn cutting division has really let their customers down. They have not cut our grass for over 3 weeks. When you call their number, no one answers. We have had our problems , leaving cut grass all over our patio, and our Lanai is covered with cut grass. They have sliced through our downspouts, which we replaced several times. They say that it's an equipment issue, that's why so many people have uncut grass. Please avoid this company. read more

They are supposed to be maintaining my yard. The two WORST yards are serviced by Massey in our cul de sac. They promised three days now someone would come out. NO-ONE CALLS NO ONE SHOWS AMD WHEN YOU CALL THEY DO NOT CARE. I WILL SINGLE HANDEDLY MAKE IT MY PROJECT TO REMOVE THEM FROM THE VILLAGES...... you should be embarrassed Massey. Today, Collin Thomas came to perform the quarterly pest control service. He had texted me over the weekend to let me know when he would arrive. The planned date wasn't good for me. Collin changed it to a day & time that worked for me. He texted me on the service day to let me know that he was 30 mins away. He texted when he was onsite. Collin explained what he was going to do during the service visit. He asked about any pest issues as well. Collin did an excellent job and was very respectful of my property. I also use Massey's Mowing, Irrigation, Fertilization & Termite services as well. Those services have been excellent as well. read more

Have used Massey for several years. Overall they are a good company. But after feeling they have my business the service is somewhat not as it once was. I know that they are capable of better work and I am not going to pay $80 for someone to only stay 15 to 20 minutes at my home to barely apply any pesticide to the exterior perimeter myself. By the way I went to Lowe's and paid less than $20 for the same granules. Thanks for the rip-off. By the way the same service at my company from them is about the same as my home. read more

Avoid this company as their sales practices is suspect. I did not respond to a mailed invitation to get a 5% discount if I paid for a year in advance. Thus, my lack of a response RENEWED the previous service agreement for another year. To cancel, the FINE PRINT requires the customer to provide written notice 30 days in advance (even thought they invoice via email). I called their customer service (which is loosely named), was on-hold and then transferred several times only to be told if don't pay for the service, the account would be sent to collections....poor customer-centric focus..... read more

Pay annually for landscape and insect maintenance in The Villages Fl. Flower beds are overgrown and not edged, weedeating was incomplete, insects area abundant outside and getting inside our home, shrubs are dying and not trimmed. Massey used to do a great job and reception personnel are friendly but we have called 5 times in 2 weeks to no avail. Unfortunately their service has changed and are forcing us to find a new landscape company. read more

I hired this company to fertilize my new lawn. The salesman appeared to know what he was talking about, but when it came to the tech providing the service, he was not knowledgeable about the weeds to spray for. My lawn was dead in several areas and three of my Xoras hedges were killed. He acknowledged he had killed them and reported the incident in order to get it replaced. I never got a call about the issue, but got a call for payment. I refused to pay until the damage was taken care of. Instead they sent it to collections. I have been with Massey for over a decade, I believe. Most of my service techs have been very goid, even hand pulling some nettles. If I see weeds in between, a quick phone call and my service man comes by again. The foremen have been helpful as have the office personnel. read more

I had Massey for years and never had problems. Three weeks ago we started hearing mice under our house. I contacted them and they were going to have someone call me back. A week later I received a call. I returned the call and had to leave a voice mail which I guess got forwarded to someone else who called. I missed that call and 3 minutes after it came in called back and was told she wasn't in the office right then. I left 3 messages for her and haven't received a call back. Today I called to cancel my service with them and they didn't really even care that I was leaving, most companies would try to retain their customers, I guess Massey is so big that it doesn't really matter if they loose a customer here and there. read more

I wrote a poor review during my first contract and really hoped it would get better but unfortunately things only got worse. After my last review I was contacted by a manager who promised to make things right. Unfortunately at the end of my first contract my grass and plants looked worse than when they started. I tried to complain but apparently there was a shift in management and I got nowhere. Finally I received a call from the replacement manager who came to my house to inspect my lawn. He told me that nobody had checked the PH in the last 12 months and it's likely that some damage was done to the exciting lawn and plants. He offered me a discount if I paid 12 months upfront and said he would get me a deal on replacing the lawn that was now dead. (I later found out it was NO DEAL at all. I paid the same price as everyone else and the SOD was very expensive) I was also told that Massey would come out with 7 to 10 trays of plugs to fill in several areas that also died. TO DATE NO PLUGS HAVE BEEN PUT IN. During the Sod replacement the workers cut my landscape lighting in several places. They attempted to fix it but were unsuccessful. The Massey manager told me to hire someone to fix it and they would repay me. To date I HAVE NOT SEEN ONE PENNY. During my last plant spray the leaves on many of my plants turned from a deep green to a pale green/yellow. Also there are places in the new SOD and my lawn that are dying and are riddled with weeds. Dakota (my field rep) has been great. She has come to my house several times and even came to my office to apologize for management not doing anything to keep their promises and for the condition of my lawn and plants. She said they have been through several managers. I appreciate her but the truth is, I want the money I spent on the repairs to my landscape lighting, I want the plugs they promised me, I want my lawn to look the way they said it would (or at least as good as it did when I started with Massey) and I want them to use a lot more caution when spraying my plants. I'm thankful I only lost one and the others returned to green. I guess I won't believe the broken promises next time and I caution others the same way. Sad...Such a big company and such poor service and quality. read more

We can't say enough good things about Massey. Everyone we have dealt with there has been outstanding. They provide our pest control, lawn and irrigation system. We had an issue with our irrigation system and their specialist was on the other side of the county, so the manager actually came right out to check it for us. Good people and good service. read more
