This is place is OPEN!! One of my friends works here and I went for the first time maybe two weeks ago, I tried their brisket sandwich... 10 out of 10! It was so good, I had to high five the chef when I went back to get it again, lol it was so delicious, it had Russian dressing, jalapeños, peppers, and arugula on their focaccia bread! Insanity. I went to get a sandwich today, they have different sandwiches from time to time. I got their eggplant sandwich, which is so good! Perfect for a vegetarian, I'm not, but I really enjoyed it. I also got their pork shoulder sandwich. I think it is, amazing as well! It's really a big portion in my opinion, which is perfect because if I don't finish it in the first sitting, I'll finish it later lol it's always something to look forward to. The service is so great, everyone is so nice and sweet. Love the chef, his sandwich combinations are awesome. I love the vibes in there. It's very calm, good music and very cozy and intimate. Once you enter mast market, the smell of the chocolate alone will keep you here for hours. Everything and i mean everything here is aesthetically pleasing, minimalist, organic and EXTRA delicious. This is a go-to stop if I'm in the area because they just have incredible baked goods that are made in-house with their own freshly milled flours. They sell their own organic flours and sugars which is also such a nice touch. Plus, it feels fancy! Their chocolate chip cookies are some of the best ever, they obviously use their own chocolate. They're amazing. There is also tons of seating in the back with some communal tables, always decorated with some seasonal touches. I also always grab some fresh bread, a coffee and some type of Quaker style kitchen item. A $40 made-made whisk? SURE! Why not. This place makes me want to splurge on the weirdest things and I'm here for it. read more

This is probably the best cafe in all of Westchester right now. From the incredible mocha, to the delicious iced hot chocolate, to the superb house made marshmallows, to the iced tea ON TAP, to the baked goods that rival any in the county (try the almond butter cookies), this place is just insanely amazing. You can even buy house made organic chocolate chips and cocoa and even wheat berries (to grind your own fresh flour) as well as other baking supplies. Mat has solid coffee and great bakery options. Chocolate is not wowing but pretty good. Barista's are understanding and efficient. Vibes are what make this place really. Only downside is that the bathroom was gross and tables and floor aren't always clean in the back. A coffee shop within a chocolate factory! What ambiance and soul. And their chocolates are delicious. I especially recommend their own hot chocolate with custom cube marshmallow and whipped cream as a decadent delight. Pair it with their own raspberry chocolate mini bar. Heavenly! The biggest problem with this place is that they are going to be mad successful. It checks all the boxes of a truly great coffee house: great product at a reasonable cost, unique and beautiful ambiance that encourages reflection, WiFi, and easy street parking. I hope they eventually expand their hours into the evening. Come enjoy this place while it's still undiscovered. You won't be disappointed (unless you can't get any of their limited seating). chocolate chip cookie perfection! whenever, wherever we go i'm sure to try the chocolate chip cookie option. hands down i have found the winner! This cookie has the perfect crispness around the edges and the center is slightly soft . i typically like the undercooked gooey cookie and i also like a Tates cookie but this one is hands down the best. I am sure that their decadent mast on-site homemade dark chocolate is another reason i'm addicted. Yes i will drive 45 minutes and buy a few to extend the enjoyment at home since I eat one on the way home . I just can't say enough. The shop overall has an organic simple theme and tells the story of quality and wholesomeness which resonates through the variety of products they offer that includes mast chocolate, farm to table produce eggs and cheeses. Their shop has a great collection of kitchen gadgets and appliance of high quality. Need a beeswax candle you will find them here hanging in all their glory. What a welcome addition to Mt Kisco's downtown! The open airy space is so beautiful and it has the added bonus of the heavenly smell of chocolate. You can even watch chocolate being made while you sip your coffee or hot chocolate. I really enjoyed their ginger chocolate cookies and the coffee was nice and strong. My friend has what she described as "the best chocolate chip ever". We each left with an armful of chocolate bars most of which were dairy free and organically made. I will definitely be a regular here and can't wait to come back and share this place with more people! read more

I have always loved this place. It is more than a cafe, it is a total experience. The beautiful interior, the smell of the chocolate that always makes me happy... and their selection of items they sell is always great. I have brought so many of my friends to this place and they all felt the same. But today I had not so nice experience with one of the staffs. I brought my two children as usual to buy hot chocolates for them, and I ordered small hot chocolate with marshmallows. The person who was taking the order had some attitude and told me small doesn't mean anything because they have mini and a normal small (which I already knew). I told him a normal small. When we received our drinks, my daughter noticed there was no marshmallow in her drink, I asked if we can have marshmallow in their drinks, and the guy kept telling me that I didn't ask for it. I told him I did ask for it, and he told me I didn't ask for it, again. I didn't understand why he was so sensitive about me not asking for it, maybe it was money issue, so I asked if I need to pay extra for the marshmallows (before, every time when we ordered hot chocolate the person put the marshmallow inside without even asking us), he kept telling me I did not ask for it. I think he said the same thing like 5 times. When he finally asked me if I want the marshmallows, I said it's ok and left. This is so not in line with what I have experienced with this wonderful place, so I wanted to write something in the hope that something like this doesn't happen again. read more

Five stars simply for the aesthetic! One of the most beautiful shops/markets I've frequented. And although it's thirty minutes north of me I try to visit twice a month. I pick up my LMNOP bakery sourdough breads from Mast Market. Another five stars for MM for supporting a fantastic small business (LMNOP). Mast Market offers dry goods (gorgeous cermaic dinnerware and serveware), bulk items (oats, flour, etc.), fabulous farm fresh milk from Battenkill Creamery that stays fresh forever! They also have local ice cream in pints and farm fresh eggs. The store is zen and calm and lowers my blood pressure every time I visit. Their iced green and black teas are deeply flavorful without leaving a bitter aftertaste. Their hot chocolate is the best I've sampled and I'm comparing it to Paris based Angelina's hot chocolate (although that's more like hot liquified chocolate.) They also carry delicious looking housemade baked goods. I'm pretty sure I've seen scones and gluten free chocolate chip cookies. I wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful establishment. Staff is also very friendly. One thing I'd note is that due to the semi-museum like feel and the general quietness, MM doesn't seem super kid friendly. Not saying it isn't, just saying it doesn't seem that way. read more

The best hot chocolate ever, anywhere! The price for the hot drinks is resonable, especially considering the quality. The staff is charming. The indoor space is great: calm and beautiful with plenty of room. But I'm not taking my mask off inside yet and they have very limited seating right now. There are also outside tables, when we aren't under a foot or more of snow. Try the ginger chocolate cookies. Yum! And yes, you get to watch the chocolate being made. I was sorry to see Heller's shoe store leave, but it I am so grateful to Mast for moving into our village. read more

Came here to get some work done in the area. Took like ten minutes to take my order because the person in front of me was lolly gagging and the staff refused to just look up and ask about the next person in line while she was browsing pastries and looking at the new-fangled pay station. Bought $25 of merchandise, which I thought was more than appropriate for 3 hours. I got an oat milk cappuccino, which was terrible. Very bitter. Moreover, they have indoor seating with a single outlet accessible, but don't mention anywhere online that they don't currently allow indoor seating (and in fact they say it's quiet, which is factually inaccurate for the outside seating, where there are tons are cars passing by). I happily sat outside when told their policy, as of course covid is a concern of mine as well. Towards the end of my stay, I asked if I could stay inside for ten minutes (masked of course) while my laptop was charging, so that I could just quickly finish up some work before leaving. Was told no, despite the fact that with the several people in the store and their slow service, those people would be inside for longer than I would need to be to charge up, write that one last email and go (thanks to murphy's law, lol).
