After months of dealing with demo and setbacks with mold, lead and asbestos we were very jaded and wondered if the house would ever be restored to its former glory. We had multiple friends who worked with Lane homes for their renovations and they all recommended them highly. Ed Lane came out in June 2023 six months after the flood once demo was complete. He was professional, knowledgeable, super communicative and set our minds at ease. Work began in July and we were told to expect it to last four months. In my mind I hoped it would be complete by Thanksgiving. We have lived in several homes over the years and used several different contractors and have NEVER finished a renovation a month ahead of schedule!!!! We just finished the end of project walk through today with our project manager Kevin Joyner and we are honestly a bit sad that we won't see Kevin and his team around here on a daily basis. Kevin went above and beyond the call of duty. He is EXTREMELY thorough and a complete perfectionist. He and his team were so communicative. He returned our calls/texts any time of day, night and on the weekends. We always knew what to expect the following day; who would be on site and when they would arrive and depart. I can honestly say in this months long process there was not a wasted day or lag time. Kevin is meticulously and expects the same out of his crews. From the painters, to the plumbers and finish carpenter each Lane employee was a delight to work with. If we ever move or renovate down the road we will use Lane Homes for all our remodeling needs. If every company was as honest, thorough and easy to work with as Lane there would be a lot less frustration in the world! The designer listened to our vision and came up with a beautiful plan that stayed in our budget. She even came with me to pick out appliances, countertops and light fixtures. I couldn't have done it myself without hiring an interior designer. Every workman in our home was courteous and professional! I always felt comfortable with the people in the house. The crews cleaned up every day and made the process as painless as possible, as we stayed in the house during the renovation. The workmanship and attention to detail was top-notch. I highly recommend Lane Homes! This was the 2nd project we have had them do and we will definitely use them for any future renovation needs!

I really do like how the project turned out and that goes to the sub contractors. Several of them were fantastic and I would highly recommend the sub contractors. Unfortunately, the management of the project was less than. I expected more communication. We were told several times when the manager could not make a meeting or was rushing there to meet for 10min, they were just "so busy with their other projects." Even the owner came at the end to look at a few things and didn't say one word besides hello. Honestly, we are still waiting on them to find a solution to paint on the custom oven hood and I doubt we will ever hear from them. Guess they are just writing off the small payment that's left. We have friends all over Southside and it's a shame that we cannot recommend this company because people ask all the time.

I sent over photos of where I was at in clearing the yard myself and I was given a quote from them with the start date of the coming up Tuesday. I told them I was planning to do more work the next day (Sunday) and asked if I could send updated photos for a new quote after I finished for the day, since they weren't starting until Tuesday, and I was told yes. I was also told they would come to my house and look at the job on that coming up Monday, the day before the job was to take place. I message that Monday evening to see if this took place and I was given a new quote in which I agreed to, with the job still being Tuesday. Come Tuesday, they showed up and said they could not complete the job as it was too large and would take too long. This company clearly does hold their word and it turns out that no one actually came out to my house on that Monday before I was given the new quote, they just based it on my second set of photos I sent. This is 100% their error and they should still have follow through on our agreement but they won't.

We did have an accident happen that caused us to go without power for one night, but Greg (owner) took care of everything and even offered to bring a generator out right away. The issue happened on Sunday afternoon and we were fine without power for one night (we didn't feel like it was necessary for them to rush a generator over to us right away, but they offered and that is what matters). Greg was at our house with the generator at 6:30 am on Monday. I never had an issue with reaching them - as some reviews have said. I would definitely recommend them.
