When they finally contacted me, they provided a $1,403 estimate claiming internal transmission issues such as "shift bushings needing replacement," along with clutch and slave cylinder labor. Diagnosing internal transmission components requires removing and opening the transmission, which they did not do. They also did not perform any of the standard hydraulic diagnostic steps such as checking the master cylinder, slave cylinder, push rod, fluid level, pedal travel, or engagement point. No explanation was given for how any of the listed issues were identified. The real problem turned out to be hydraulic and was repaired elsewhere. The Jeep is now running perfectly, which confirms that the issues listed in Brown's estimate were not based on proper inspection or testing. I would not recommend this place.

Since then, I always have a burning oil smell after they change my oil. Also, when my starter was going out, they thought it was because my battery was too weak so they changed my battery to a more expensive gel battery and didn't give me credit for my perfectly fine battery that they removed until I later complained. (They then only gave me a $20 credit). Later, the gel battery they installed gave out after only 1 year and 3 months of service. I was stranded out of town when it happened and Corb's would not give me any kind of credit for bringing the battery back. I will no longer recommend anyone to go here after these continued bad experiences.

I first took my 2003 Chevy Tahoe for a transmission rebuild at (HATS) Houston Automatic…read moreTransmission Service back in February 2019 when the truck had 160, 013 miles on the original transmission. Scott and his staff rebuilt my 03 Tahoe transmission including Torque Converter with overhaul kit. I recently brought back my 03 Tahoe back this October 2024 with 293, 415 miles with some slight problems with the reverse gear. The main reason I brought it back to (HATS) is the original warrantee was for 36 months or 50, 000 miles. HATS Rebuild Transmission lasted for 133, 402 miles without any issues, that was 83, 402 miles past the original warrantee. I Just brought my 03 Tahoe back recently (October 2024). Mr. Steve Lake the manager, went "Above and Beyond" to make sure my Tahoe was taking care for again for the second rebuild with no issues. I pick it back up after upon completion and everything is back to normal like the first time I drove it. If you are having any transmission issues at all, (HATS) is the BEST! Mr. Steve's customer service is nothing short of OUTSTANDING! I highly recommend going to (HATS) for your transmission needs, you will not be disappointed. v/r Robert G.

We come back Monday after rearranging our whole day, he had the car the entire day and told us he couldn't help us with the issue, he said our casing might be leaking and then told us we had to take it to a dealership (which was not true). We take it to a second mechanic and they said this place probably didn't look at it at all, the casing was not even cleaned off or moved. The only good thing is that they didn't charge us a fee to "diagnose" it, but they didn't even look at it.
