BEWARE!! I took my truck in for repair at this company because my trusted mechanic was unable it service it due to sickness. He had inspected my truck and said it needed a water pump due to pulley being damaged. This company inspected and did a pressure test on the radiator and told me I needed a new radiator. I picked it up without having them repair it. I then took my truck back to my trusted mechanic and was told the radiator was damaged due to over pressuring test. Before this my radiator was not leaking now I am going to have to buy a new radiator. read more

As this is my first visit, I'm probably reviewing the business a bit early but I'll update if anything goes awry. I found this shop based off of recommendations from neighbors on Nextdoor. My sole review on Yelp isn't an accurate representation of how popular this shop is. Tons of Jersey Village residents say they've been coming here for years. Anyway, I had my oil change done at Firestone the day before. They told me that there was a leak and few other things that I needed to have done. (Warning: a bit of a rant is coming up) Here's the thing, though. My car is not that old, it doesn't have a crazy amount of mileage, I'm not a street racer, and I don't regularly hit things on the road. Yet, I can't seem to make it through an oil change without Firestone thinking I need something additional done to my car. Every. Freaking. Time. So rather than shell out yet another $500, I called this place up and told them exactly what Firestone told me needed to be repaired. The guy I spoke to over the phone didn't think what Firestone described sounded right and asked me to come in. He lifted the car, showed me everything, dropped the car, showed me the engine, and explained how he doesn't see any leak. He put some degreaser and told me I could come back in a day or two and he'd check it again if I was worried. And that was it. $0. Though my rating right now is based on just this one interaction, they could have easily told me something was wrong and gotten a quick buck for zero work. I'm going to start coming here for my car maintenance needs and I'll update if I have a poor experience, but I think I finally found an honest mechanic!!! read more

I called and asked for a quote on timing belt replacement and oil pump gasket replacement. They said "We don't do that kind of work". I am not sure what kind of work this mechanics shop does if they don't replace timing belts and gaskets. read more

Very clean shop. Fast , efficient work. And fair price on labor. Waaay better than the gougers in the city.

They gave me the worst customer service ever. They accidentally broke my tie rod. HOW DO YOU ACCIDENTALLY BREAK A TIE ROD. And I still had to pay for the reparations and for the work. They don't even seem bothered by what they did, worst place ever and won't come again. read more

After previously agreeing on a price with the mechanic, we were charged DOUBLE. Not only were we overcharged, not a dang thing was fixed on the vehicle. When we came in to pay the front desk lady, while watching Netflix on her phone, looked my boyfriend up and down and said, "You know you have to pay for this right?", with a chuckle. Blatant disrespect. Not only that but the mechanics hooked their phones up to the Bluetooth to use the subs in the truck. Unprofessional. Would not recommend to ANYONE. read more

Don't judge a book by its cover. This is a REAL mechanic shop. To the casual observer, the shop may seem rough around the edges, you may not receive the same hospitality as Chick-Fil-A, you may be taken aback by the casual language used in the lobby, workers may not have a combover and pearly white teeth, but by God they will do right by you and your car. Took my money pit of a car there, after I had already taken it to A+ Transmission (or should I say F-) just to see what was wrong. They were transparent with me and had the utmost integrity when it came to advising me what to do. They did not settle on unreliable parts for me. The problem with my car seemed to be mitigated after they merely checked it out too. Maybe they threw me a bone and put a band-aid on the problem just to look out for me, who knows. My visit with them gave me clarity as to what was best for me and that was to simply consider getting another car. Great shop. read more

Kay's Automotive has always given me very efficient quality service without a problem. But when I questioned a part charge that I thought excessive, they truly showed their character. The mistake was recognized and I received a satisfactory refund for the price difference and bother. Few repair shops would own up to the error in cost that I approved in advance and make a fast refund on something already paid in full. We brought in a car at 2:00 on a Friday. They close at 6 on Fridays, and are closed on the weekends. They told us it was a 3 hour job whenever they got the part they needed from a shop that usually took 30 minutes to deliver. Despite all that, they worked hard and late to make sure we could have our car this weekend, and called us at 6:30 to tell us they were done and to come pick it up.
