After calling around to numerous places to ask if they could fix hubby's Diesel "Batman" watch, everyone told me they couldn't do it or didn't have the part that broke. I walked into once place, hoping they'd be able to help but was told they couldn't -- they DID however, refer me to Master Watch Repair. Sure it was a bit of a drive, but I'd do anything for my man so I went and dropped off his watch. The watch repair man knew exactly how to fix the watch just from one glance at it (super knowledgeable!) and told me he could have it done the same day!!! Hooray! I dropped it off and could barely wait to pick it up and surprise hubby that his watch was fixed! When I picked it up it was superb -- and the batteries were even changed (I didn't realize it had also stopped working, lol). Extremely happy with the work and reasonable price! Took my Tag Heuer Sel in to get resized, the face straightened, new battery, and the bezel fixed and was told everything would be fixed except the bezel because that part was more expensive and I didn't want to pay that much to fix it. I just picked it up and the watch is perfectly cleaned and fixed back to original condition, plus he even found an old part to fix the bezel and didn't even charge me for fixing the bezel. I had a watch with a broken link- nothing super fancy, but it was a really great watch and had strong sentimental value. I brought it and another watch here (the other one was just for resizing) and they were extremely helpful. They only take cash, and the charge was $20. After resizing the one watch, I showed him the broken one. He took it to the back, took the broken link out, fixed it back up, and gave it back to me... and somehow it fit even better than it had before!!! And he didn't even charge me any extra for it. Traveled to Phoenix to visit family for July 4th and realized the battery stopped in my RADO. Brought it to Fast Fix, they wanted to charge $89 to replace and needed 4 hours. I didn't have 4 hours and found this Yelp! Review and thought "seems legit." Brought the watch in, quoted me $45 (cash only). I dropped it off and asked "You obviously pressure test the watch, right?" Answer, "yes." A couple hours later,as I picked it up I asked again, "You pressure tested it right?" Answer: "yes." (Why would I think otherwise?) Picked it up a couple hours later, it was running all seemed well. I flew home and wore the watch today for the first time in a humid climate, the watch was not pressure tested and humid/moisture got into the watch. I did not run it under water, submerse it in water, swim with it... I merely wore it to breakfast, looked down and saw the moisture spot under the crystal. Would not recommend taking my watch to this business. If you work on the high end watches he boasts about, you should be able to do a basic battery change and seal the watch up without issue. Ps Had I paid with a credit card, I would have disputed. Probably why the "cash only" policy is in place. read more

They were: an Omega from 1913, 2 Elgin's from 1903, and 1927, and finally an absolutely beautiful Hamilton 992B Railroad Grade pocket watch from 1941. Each watch was completed within the time frame promised, or earlier. Lenny did an outstanding job in overhauling and reviving these valuable pieces of history. When you have something as rare and valuable as a pocket watch, it takes a highly trained, educated and experienced professional with the test equipment and tools to properly disassemble, clean, and lubricate each individual jewel, and gear shaft. In the late 1800"s, and well into the early 1900's, almost every Jewelry store had a skilled Watchmaker in their employ, but they are becoming more and more difficult to come by in this high tech day and age. Each watch came out of his shop in perfect working order, just as they were in the early 1900's. I am very impressed with his extensive knowledge of these timepieces, especially since Lenny also does custom jewelry, jewelry repair, modern watch repair and servicing, battery replacement, and buys gold! Just by watching him work on these timepieces, you can tell he loves, and is very proud of his work. I also sold him some of my old gold rings, and was given an excellent value for them. I had taken my husband's watch which seemed to just need a new battery to another jewelry repair place that seemed to have a good reputation because it is an expensive watch. They said it was not the battery but it was in need of a cleaning and oiling. (BTW, the watch was basically brand new and had not been worn very much.) They wanted $92 for the cleaning! . My instinct said to go else where. I am SO glad I did. I went to Master Watch Repair because of the other good reviews. After looking at the watch, he quickly determined that somehow a coil circuit had been damaged - possibly when the case was pried off at the previous place. ( I can't prove this, but the previous place are the only ones I had ever taken this watch to.) Anyways, the owner immediately saw the problem and fixed it within 10 minutes and installed a new battery. Now it works like new! The owner was VERY knowledgeable and trustworthy. He specializes in watch repair and is excellent. His price was very reasonable. He also does jewelry repair so I will go to him when the occasion arises. A couple of points if you go. His sign out front says Watch and Jewelry Repair. It doesn't say Master Watch Repair (but he is a master at repairing watches!). Also, he only accepts cash. I HIGHLY recommend this place! read more

Went here today as I have been looking for a skilled watch shop. Lenny has a nice shop. I collect vintage watches especially swiss bulova and he is very knowledgeable. Today I had my vintage IWC 18k 89 with a stuck watch band. It required a cut to remove which I was afraid to do myself as the watch has high value. He did a quick fast fix and put on my new ostrich band. I plan on trying him on a redtoration project soon on a watch Im bidding on. read more

I took my automatic watch in for an overhaul and he said it didn't look like it needed one. But, it was not autowinding and stopping frequently even with manual winding. He quoted $250 - CASH. I left the watch and got it back quicker than promised. Paid CASH and left. The watch only worked for a few weeks and then was worse than before. I subsequently took my watch to another shop. They opened it up and showed me that there was still dirt inside. Master Watch Repair didn't do anything, but charged me $250 - CASH. The other shop quoted me $250 for an overhaul, then checked and said a complete new movement would only be $200. I went with the new movement and everything is great with my watch now. BUT, Master Watch Repair took $250 CASH from me and didn't do anthing. Why CASH? So the income isn't reported? So customers can't come back at them through their credit card company? I don't know, but I WILL NOT use this company again and would warn everyone else to BEWARE. read more

Leonid is the greatest, the most efficient, talented, and skilled watchmaker I have ever encountered and whom you NEED to take your timepiece problems to see. Let me preface my review about my classic, PVD black, Lum Tec watch with a brilliant automatic Russian movement that unfortunately stopped working in recent months. My father bought this limited production watch for me as a graduation gift 5 years ago, and I was heartbroken when I encountered several problems with the movement and the date counter. After taking my watch to 2 other watchmakers, both of whom took MONTHS out of my time, shipping back and forth to another watchmaker, ordering "parts," spent a good $500+ on repairs, and the other watchmakers STILL couldn't get the movement on my watch back to original factory working shape. I found Leonid on Yelp and since I was all out of luck, I figured it couldn't hurt to see him. After dropping my watch off to him, he gives me a call back within less than a week's time , tells me the repair is already done and I can come by to pick it up at my convenience. Leonid was clear, concise, explained what happened, the repair job he made, and even divulged to me that the previous two watchmakers DID NOT clean the gears as they had stated they had done on the notes they had left me. I was livid! So I learned something new about the watchmaking and repair business. There are MANY "shady" and unscrupulous watchmakers out there, so BE CAREFUL whom you take your watch to for repairs. Leonid did a fantastic job for me, I cannot vouch highly enough for him as he is a man of his word, very detail-oriented, and most importantly, very considerate towards his clients' timepieces. Lenny repaired my wife's Lady Breitling watch including making a gold fitting that had fallen off. Sending it to Breitling from my experience is time consuming and expensive. He has overhauled two old pocket watches using a host of spare parts and in one watch actually repairing a broken gear. He is a master watch repairman in the real sense of the word. I paid 180.00 to have my dads watch repaired at the Master Watch Repair on Bell and 67th Avenue in April 2019. The watch worked for the 4 times that I wore it. I wound it the other day and it would no longer work. I took the watch back today along with the 1 year warranty receipt. The shop owner was very rude and insisted that the movement was working fine and water had gotten into the case. The watch is a family heirloom and was nowhere near water. There is something wrong with a movement that will not work correctly all the time. He refused to look at it and I am out 180.00. He is a rude scammer and buyer beware!!!!!!!! read more
