The gentleman behind the counter (I presume the owner) was very robotic. We walked in with another couple and he repeated the exact same script to both of us. It didn't felt genuine at all. They had part of a corn hole set out (just one side) and our toddler ran to it and started playing with it. Immediately, we were told it was "custom made for the business" and for her to not walk on it. My husband got her down, and he said sarcastically, "Yeah... just like that.." as he did. My husband took our child out to the car while we waited for our cheesecake because she is rambunctious and we felt she was not welcome there. We ordered a 6 pack of mini cheesecakes (bananas foster, coconut cream, sweet potato, key lime, and cookies & cream) for $18 + tax. We were excited to dig in as soon as we got to the car, but they were all frozen. What if we'd wanted to eat them there? Very disappointing. Also - the disposable plastic container our cheesecakes came in was covered in water like it had been washed. Very unappealing. As soon as we left to get into our car, he ran around the counter to check on the corn hole. He thoroughly inspected it (she didn't hurt it) and carried it to the back. If you don't want something touched, don't have it out. If you want it on display, block it off or have a sign on it. We won't be back. Update: 20 min later, the cheesecake is soft enough around the edges to try it - it's good. Nice and rich.. but it shouldn't be frozen the way it is if we're purchasing it to eat then and there. They all seem to have the same traditional base and different toppings. Bananas Foster - The bananas stayed hard and frozen so long that we didn't get to enjoy them soft. Good flavor. Coconut Cream - My personal favorite. Caramel-y flavor. Key Lime - Limey enough to tell it's supposed to be key lime.. but no tartness or traditional key lime flavor. Cookies & Cream - Our toddler's favorite. She devoured it and didn't let us have a taste. Sweet Potato - Their signature flavor. Weird. The cheesecake softened enough to taste it but the sweet potato stayed rock hard on the middle. Floral-y flavor. Could be good if it weren't frozen, I imagine.

Couldn't take a better picture since we ate all of them but one before writing this review. This place is awesome and the cheesecake? Absolutely scrumptious, you literally can't have just one! A quick in and out turned into a 20 minute convo with Ken, he told us his story and we were blown away! He's so awesome and his people skills are top notch. We will definitely be back for Friday Karaoke and chill time with Ken and Of course more cheesecake! P.S. all the flavors were amazingly delicious but my favorite was the turtle pecan!

Several optional flavors from the standard and premium menu.

Masterpiece Desserts is a cheesecake only eatery so don't expect to have anything other than cheesecake as an option. With that said, they have several innovative and creative options to include Apple Pie, Red Velvet and Sweet Potato. Unfortunately during my visit several of the servings were still semi frozen and challenging to cut into with the plastic ware provided. This also made it more challenging to true enjoy the different flavors. I'll give this another chance but todays experience was mediocre. They could have don't better

Support a Black owned business! As soon as you walk into the door you are greeted with a big welcome from the staff. I loved the energy and he greeted everyone the same. If it's your first visit he'll give you the run down of all their options including their specialties. They have some really cute mini cheesecakes loaded with toppings. Some infused with liquor. Definitely allow them to defrost 30-40 minutes if you like yours smooth. I'm the kind of person that only does the simple cheesecakes (like people that doesn't like alot of icing in their cakes). So I got their strawberry cheesecake. That way if I didn't like the strawberry topping I could just enjoy the cheesecake. For me the strawberry glaze was very thick & sweet & may have overpowered the cheesecake for me. I would have loved that jam with some peanut butter lol.

These were beyond delicious! (*we did fix these candles later to make them look nicer before we sang to the birthday boy lol)

This has been was one of my best finds in a long time! I stumbled upon Masterpiece Desserts this past Saturday when I was scrambling to come up with something to have at my boyfriend's 40th birthday party later that evening. He doesn't like cake so wanting something different that we could still put candles in and sing happy birthday; these mini cheesecakes were the best things ever!!! My whole experience with them was great; from the lady on the phone that I spoke with first, to the gentleman at the store when I picked up my order, to having folks show up at the party and trying to sneak a mini cheesecake before we sang happy birthday because they looked so good! Everyone loved these delicious bites and I will absolutely be returning in the future!

They are super friendly. Was greeted right when walking in. Explained the menu and gave recommendations as well. The place was very clean. The cheesecake was fresh and very good. They had some really good selections.

The cheesecake is made with love and you can definitely taste it. The minis make it possible for you to try all or some of the flavors without getting too full. My favorites are the apple pie, strawberry classic and raspberry rosé. Service is quick and chill/energetic environment. Highly recommend especially catering is great and customizable. Love it!

The Cheesecake and the man. Just had an unforgettable dining experience....that evolved into an unforgettable human experience. First the cheesecake...these cheesecake mini's were creative, delicious, and served with an authentic customer service that rivaled the deliciousness of his cheesecake. My partner and I were lucky enough to hear Ken's amazing story. We immediately knew that he is destined for great things, cheesecake is just one of them. We even bought cookies to take home. We enjoyed the cheesecake from Masterpiece, the dinning experience, and the visit with it's owner. We will definitely be back

    What I received

So several points. I ordered the one on the right. What I got on the left is disrespectful, What I got on the left is not worth the price I paid visually or in taste. Y'all started off wrong by asking me to pick this up an hour later than scheduled. It's for a birthday, and I set the time for 12pm, and you had more than the 2 days required before hand for this cake. Then, why would y'all package this cake like this. It needs a bigger box so there's less a chance that the box would smack into the cake. Which is what happened as soon as I picked up the cake, for the top and the sides. That's poor packaging. The glaze looks awful, and I know you can see there's no raspberries. This is not what I ordered. The minis look good though, and I've noticed the minis are what looked good for others orders as well, I don't see any of the larger cakes pictures in the reviews.

Cute place with great cheesecake! My favorites were the apple pie, turtle, and banana. Owner provided great service and the place was clean.

This wonderful company started bringing their food truck of deliciousness to our neighborhood farmers market. From the beginning, the demand was great. Once I finally got my hands on the cheesecake, I could see why! I don't even have adequate words to describe how amazing the cheesecakes taste. They nearly melt in your mouth. Seriously, the most delicious cheesecake I've ever tasted. All I can do is hope they keep coming out and that I arrive early enough each week to catch a six-pack!

This place is a hidden secret. You do kind of have to look for it but once you find it you will not be disappointed. I honestly ordered one of everything on the menu some of them I got two of everything. The cookies were hot moist and perfectly made. All I was missing was a glass of milk. Definitely show up but you will wait a little bit for your dessert because they are making it fresh. Make sure that you do have some time to sit there and wait don't think this is going to be quick in and out

Omg!!!! These mini cheesecakes are the best!!! Not too sweet or overly creamy. The flavor combinations are awesome! It's a place you must try!!!

When I stopped by on a weekday evening at 9pm it was packed. They had stations setup throughout the store to order different goods, which helped to alleviate the rush. Knafeh ($6) - They offered 2 types of knafeh, one with cheese and one with custard. I went with the one made with Nabulsi cheese and topped with shredded phyllo, and soaked in sugar syrup. It was warm, crispy and delicious! Karak tea ($5) - This milk tea drink was made with aromatic spices, primarily cardamom, cloves, ginger and cloves. I was happy to see they used whole milk instead of evaporated milk. The drink was incredibly rich and creamy and tasted great. Turkish delight ($18 / lb.) - This was extremely fresh, soft and chewy, made with cornstarch, sugar, nuts. Some of the varieties I tried had chocolate and/or fruits. The baklava here was fresh made with layers of phyllo dough, chopped nuts, and held together with some honey. The nut offerings here included, almonds, walnuts, peanuts and a few more. Overall I was impressed with everything they offered here with the exception of the nuts, which I thought were just ok. I'd definitely return if I was in the area.

For example, with the Turkish delights and ice cream selections, only a few items are labeled. For most of them, you have to guess the flavor or ingredients. When I asked questions, there was a language barrier, and the staff member behind the counter was unable to clearly explain what the items were in English. This can be especially frustrating for customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions. In the U.S., I would expect all flavors and ingredients to be clearly labeled so customers can make informed choices. Even if staff members are not fluent in English, having accurate labels for flavors and ingredients would greatly improve the customer experience. The desserts themselves are excellent, but better product labeling would make the experience much more enjoyable and accessible for everyone.

Side note you'll need a code to use their restroom. I ordered the split cup of Strawberry Almond Cheesecake and Dulce de Horchata. I felt that the portion could've been slightly more generous than below the rim of the cup, but I suppose the price is reasonable. I guess it's hit or miss like at Marble Slab. The cheesecake flavor was okay not overpowering, which I would've preferred more than the almond and strawberry. I think I wasn't impressed with it because the server scooped more of the graham crust than ice cream. I'm pretty sure that's another reason I didn't particularly care for their cheesecake. The horchata was nice with hints of cinnamon and with the split cup made it taste even better.

You're paying for the K-Pop Demon Hunter pop-up aesthetic, the upbeat vibes, the fast service, the themed menu. The desserts? Solid. The Pinky Up Parfait hits. One scoop of cappuccino ice cream comes generous and tasty. Nothing disappoints. But nothing revolutionizes dessert either. This is good execution in service of a limited time experience, not destination-level pastry work. And that's fine. That's exactly what a pop-up should be. The real draw is that everything works together. Vibe, music, service, and desserts that don't let the side down. It feels fun, not gimmicky. That's harder to pull off than you'd think. Bottom line. Pop-ups don't stick around. If the K-Pop theme is your thing and you want solid desserts in a fun environment, go now. If you're just looking for great desserts, permanent spots do it better.

Since we were already in the area after breakfast at TJ's Filipino Cuisine, we finally got the chance to stop by and try their baked goods for ourselves. We arrived early, so the bakery wasn't too busy yet. The bakers were busy prepping more goodies in the back while my cousin and I browsed all the Filipino baked goods we really miss from back home in the Philippines. They even had suman, sapin-sapin, biko, and other kakanin, which was nice to see. I specifically looked for the chicken empanada, and my cousin wanted to try the ube white chocolate chip cookie. We also saw different kinds of siopao and planned to come back later to buy some before heading back to San Antonio. We tried the ube white chocolate chip cookie first, but honestly we weren't totally satisfied. It tasted more like a regular white chocolate chip cookie with purple coloring and didn't really have much ube flavor. I also tried the chicken empanada. My cousin didn't like it because it was sweeter than expected--we were both expecting it to be savory. There seemed to be caramelized sugar in the outside of the pastry, which probably added to the sweetness. I still like it, though it was definitely sweeter than what I'm used to. Red Ribbon's chicken empanada is still my favorite. Later that day before leaving Houston, we came back for the siopao we planned to take home. We finally decided to just buy a couple pieces for ourselves, heat them up in the bakery, and try them fresh. When we saw the price for a four-pack, we were honestly disappointed. It felt expensive for the size. The siopao wasn't huge, and while I like the dough, there wasn't much chicken filling inside. For the portion, taste, and quality, it felt overpriced. Overall, it's probably not worth making another trip back for us. We did enjoy the cassava ube suman, and I like the chicken empanada, but not enough to drive all the way to Houston just for those. If I live nearby, I might come back to try other baked goods, but based on this visit, I'm not sure the rest would impress my palate. I still give them credit for cleanliness and customer service, although we did notice fruit flies on one of the shelves and reported it. The staff was friendly, and the bakery itself was welcoming. At the end of the day, since they're a bakery, the expectation is great-tasting, quality, mouthwatering Filipino breads, pastries ", and kakanin. While some items were enjoyable, overall it just didn't quite live up to the hype for us.
