I came in for the Magic the Gathering Lorwyn Eclipse prerelease playing Two Headed Giant with a friend, and the entire event ran smoother than a hyperspace jump. From registration to the final round, everything was organized, on time, and genuinely fun. No chaos, no dark side rulings, just solid event management. The Magic community here is strong. Friendly players, good vibes, and a welcoming atmosphere whether you're a veteran Jedi or still figuring out which lands to tap. It's the kind of shop where you feel comfortable coming back even if you don't know everyone yet. Moon Shot Games has earned a repeat visit. Great staff, great events, and a community worth supporting. The Force is strong here, and I'll definitely be back for future missions.

Just walked out of the store and had to write this review because of the poor attitude my husband and I encountered during our visit. We were looking at the displays and Pokemon TCG stuff they had available behind the counter when my husband asked whether they were getting the new set coming out. The sales associate said yes and showed off the new products and stated it wouldn't go on sale until tomorrow. My husband and him joked around about the set when a separate man behind the counter wearing a pink beanie chimed in and stated in a poor attitude to his sales associate, "Hey can you just move that shipment somewhere else so people can stop asking about it?" Which led his sales associate to stop our conversation and leave to move the shipment that wasn't meant to be brought up! No worries on that! You hadn't realize you lost a sale when you interrupted with your negative attitude!

This place works great for me because it's really close to my house and it's locally owned. That way I don't have to drive a long way to find what I need for my Dungeons and Dragons campaign. The Hero's Emporium has always had a great selection of brushes, paints, and miniatures that I have come to rely heavily upon as a Dungeon Master. I am always able to find the miniatures that I am looking for whether that be a female gnome paladin or several packages of gnolls that I can paint and throw at my party. All the miniatures are very reasonably priced too, so I can get even larger miniatures like a storm giant for only around $15. For as long as miniatures take me to paint, this is well worth the money. I also want to mention that they offer a decent selction of dice sets to choose from, which is important for any D&D campaign, especially when your dice are fickle. I also love that they offer both old and new sourcebooks for D&D as well as official Nolzurs paint sets, and Icons of the Realms. This gives me a large pool to choose what will be most exciting for my party. Finally I wanted to mention that this business has also done tabletop nights. Although I personally have not attended one of those events, I support the space this business is building for the tabletop community. The staff has also always been very welcoming and helpful, making sure that I am finding everything that I am searching for. I am also occasionally able to find expansion packs for a bit more obscure card game called Smash Up here, which is delightful considering that it's so hard to find in just a regular store like Target. I will continue to come back and support this business in their mission to help the tabletop community thrive.

My son recently got into My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, and peaked interest playing Dungeons & Dragons. The selection of merchandise is fairly priced and they have such a wide variety. But the best part is the staff. They're so accomodating, flexible, not condescending or arrogant. They're understanding and break things down for you while remaining honest and not trying to upsell you. We recently went to an Adventure League for D&D on Wednesday nights at Saltire games and had a blast. The gentleman, Gregory, who ran it was very knowledgeable and helped me and my 11 year old as it was our first time playing D&D. Everyone in the group was kind, appropriate, and helpful. It was really a wonderful experience. I'm thankful that Satire hosts these game nights so I can grow closer with my kiddo while learning something new and fostering his imagination.

They are always so knowledgeable about everything and are more than happy to chat you up about anything in the game realm. If they happen to not have what you want or need, they are also very motivated to help direct you elsewhere. It's a magical and intriguing place to walk around and get lost in. Very similar line of merchandise: Novels, music, toys, graphic novels, and a cafe/coffee shop. There were plenty of staff on the floor to assist if needed and the condition of the store was clean and well stocked. I didn't have any trouble finding what I was looking for. If you like reading actual books and owning them, then stop by the Muncie Mall if you are in the area. This store is large enough to have its own outside entrance on the east side of the mall. Poor Books a Million, how do you hang on?…read more When I first moved to Florida, I shopped at Books a Million because it was almost everywhere and Borders and Barnes & Noble weren't. The trouble was that they never seemed to discount anything and their savings card didn't seem to help, but cost me to have it. It seemed to be more for the Joe Muggs coffee shop inside the store and the trinkets at the cash register. This store is no different from the others. They have the magazines ("news stand") on one wall toward the outside of the store (the restrooms are near there) and Joe Muggs is at the mall entrance. The books and games, etc. are in-between the two. It's a compact store, but probably sufficient given the population and the likelihood that someone will actually buy. While I saw a few people working, no one bothered to say anything. The coffee shop was a lonely place, also, with only two customers. If it was Starbucks, they'd be having knock-down-drag-outs for seats. Nothing out of place for Books a Million. How do they stay in business?
