We had the amazing luck of working with Victor and Nancy after having been given a massive quote by…read morethe dealership for a misdiagnosis on my Hyundai Ioniq 5, when a cut wire set off a whole bunch of error codes on my dash and they basically wanted to replace everything on the front of my car (It did include the parts that had been damaged through an accident earlier that year, and I was at fault and I wanted to pay out of pocket, but still, the quote from the dealership was unreasonably high and did not consider the fact that I was trying to save a leased car with my own money) When I came to Yelp and sent out pictures of my car and thoughts about what was wrong with the car and needed to be done with it, and asked for quotes, Felix Autobody was one of the first quotes I got and their response and how they were open to plan a time to see the car and give me a quote in person all sounded very flexible and stood out easily among the rest so they were the first we went to get a quote from, and didn't even go anywhere else, and we're glad we did. Victor took a quick look at the car, heard what we had to say, really understood where we came from, and said he would do his best to fix what he could instead of replacing, and he'll send us a quote the same day. The quote he gave us was easily less than half the quote from the dealership. Less than one week from signing up with Felix Autobody they had the part purchased and I dropped off my car and they said they'll have it ready in within the week. Their estimated time was also great and was just one day off cause they had to add one more part that was damaged, but all in all it was a massive win, on all parts. I said this to Victor and Nancy both, I really hope we don't have to get auto body work to this scale ever again, but if we do, I know where I'm going! I met both owners, David and Rafael, and they were super straightforward. They explain what needs to be done before doing anything and don't try to upsell you. Just honest people who clearly care about their work and reputation. Their shop is also clean and well kept, which I personally pay attention to -- it says a lot about how they treat customers' cars. The repair itself is flawless, panel gaps, paint match, everything lines up like it came off the line that way. On a G-Wagon that's not a given; plenty of shops will happily take a swing at one and hand you back something that's almost right. This isn't that. But the part that really made the difference was the insurance side. Dealing with the at-fault carrier is normally a part-time job you didn't apply for, endless calls, lowball estimates, supplements that go nowhere. Alex handled all of it. He knew exactly what to push back on and how to document it, and I basically just got updates instead of headaches. Zero fighting on my end. He also does diminished value reports, which I didn't even know was a thing I should be asking about. A car like this loses real money on paper just from having an accident on the record, and he walked me through recovering that. If you've been hit and nobody's mentioned diminished value to you, ask him about it. Bonus: the man knows the local food scene better than most people who write about it for a living.
