I've been going to see him on and off since the summer of 2021 as a welder I put a lot of stress on my body and every now and then I let my body maintenance fall to the side. My most recent visits were for knee pain, which was due to my hip being out of place And today, severe tightness in my upper back neck and shoulders, which was radiating around to my chest and the good doctor took care of that to where I have no pain in full motion in my neck again. I expected to be adjusted a few times and that would be it, but what I got was personalized care tailored to my specific needs. I had been living in pain 24/7 for almost a year. Don't be like me and wait. Go in and get checked out. It's likely you can be fixed even faster! I received chiropractic care along side physical therapy. My personal experience has been with back and neck adjustments, massage, ultrasonic massage, exercises under traction, sitting in traction, roller tables, balancing exercises and more. I also receive frequent updates in person, on the phone, and written explaining where I am in my care and what to expect next. I wasn't sure what to expect but I have many pain free days now, and as a bonus I haven't had a migraine in MONTHS. Good to know: I don't have insurance that covers a chiropractor, and I get a discount for paying out of pocket. My bills have ranged from approximately $115 - $250 per session. read more

As many first time patients, we heard about this provider through the radio commercial. The first visit was very thorough and almost impressive, but there was so much back-and-forth between areas if there had been a major physical ailment this would've been extremely taxing. The second visit there was over an hour wait to be seen past our scheduled appointment. the provider is caring, the team is very supportive, everybody does seem invested in your health. We struggled with the location as appointments tend to run into heavy traffic times. Was a solid place to go, but not something we would choose over other places. read more

I was recently rear ended. What started as just a sore neck turned into a very painful debilitating problem. Dr. Okamoto fit me in the day I called and has helped me so much! I saw him four times this week and using multiple modalities I can return to work next week. He is wonderful and so is his staff! Special shout out to his terrific massage therapist. I visited Masters Touch after hearing the 'back talk' ad on the radio. My issue was lower back pain that would flair up after long trips(plane, car etc). I also had a numb spot that would trouble me on and off. After several adjustments, the lower back pain no longer is an issue, even after cross country flights. The numb spot on my upper back is an on and off issue, but its getting better as my posture improves. This was my first visit to a chiropractor, so I have no frame of reference for how good or bad things were. However I can say this with certainty; my back feels much better after the treatment. I have scoliosis and chronic back issues and I've been to other chiropractors in the past with varying success. Dr. Okamoto was close to my house and had immediate availability so I went for the initial appointment... and have been returning ever since. I don't know that my back issues will ever go away, but he has given me exercises to (as he put it) "eliminate my need for chiropractic." He is in the business of healing and the entire staff is as top notch as it gets. When I threw my back out recently, (which usually puts me out of commission for days), he had me back up and running the next day! The ONLY think I would feel necessary to mention is that his clinic is very "Christian" centered and has literature and such everywhere. I myself am not a Christian, but it doesn't bother me to be around it. They have never made me feel on the spot about my personal beliefs or pushed theirs on me. I Have been seeing Dr. Okamoto for over 15 years, and I cannot say enough good about him. I first went to see him After 3 years of suffering from numbness, seizures, dizziness and nausea. I spent 4 months when I first began experiencing all these problems in and out of the hospital, multiple MRIs, EEGs, EKGs, I saw all kinds of specialists, even neurologists could not figure out what was wrong, but said I had all of the symptoms of multiple sclerosis. I finally visited Dr. Okamoto after hearing him speak on the radio- and after 8 visits, ALL of the symptoms were gone, there is no way to explain the relief. I am so thankful. I have seen him about 1-2 times per year since then. I really will say, a PCP will most likely never refer you to a chiropractor-they will choose medication and/or surgery. But so many physical issues that have nothing to do with back pain (in my very personal experience) are related to so many things chiropractic. It is worth it to go have a free consultation-you will not lose anything giving it a shot! read more

I was referred to Okamoto after developing painful sciatica. At first, I was in love with this clinic because they were doing more for me I.E. x-rays and treadmill exercises with hoist/ roller table/ultrasound. Later, the thing that matters most to me revealed itself which is the Doctor's bedside manner and the quality of our interactions. I did not like the hypocritical attitude of Dr. Okamoto claiming to be Christian (with a Bible open on the front desk) yet he could give a crap about his patient's well-being and healing as long as they keep coming back for treatments. That's how he made me feel and the final straw is when he flat out wouldn't treat my friend that came with me without even looking at x-rays or anything. Not only that, Dr. Okamoto was in a rush, so he adjusted me so quickly that my legs were thrown into the knobs under the table and I suffered a massive bruise and walked crooked for a month. I quit going to him immediately after suffering this way physically/emotionally/and spiritually. It's a shame because he has a wonderful office and his staff is INCREDIBLE. The doctor needs to work on his bedside manner and integrity. read more

I visited Master's touch several times this summer/ fall because of a lower back injury that caused me a high level of pain. They were the only place open on Saturday so I went because I was in desperate need of help. The people who work here are quite nice, but I've never been to a medical establishment that has so much religion all over the place. There is literally a bible quote in every room, the front desk has an open Bible on it so you end up resting your hand in a Bible without even knowing it. While I would say that I prefer my doctors to follow science over faith, I have also read that the power of the mind to heal is quite extraordinary, so I can't judge them for their beliefs, its just noteworthy because it's unusual in a clinical setting from my experience. Compared to the few other chiropractors I've been to I think they are as good as any when it comes to adjustments and therapy but I was really unhappy with my interaction with the dr. over needing pain medication. I told him flat out I needed something for the pain and he said he called it in to the pharmacy. When we got there we found out he had called in an extra strength over the counter medication, I think it was Naproxen sodium. I did find out that Chiropractor's can't prescribe any thing stronger but here is where it gets complicated. Because it was the weekend I could only call my on-call dr., I couldn't get in to see him. When I called the on-call dr. she said that if Dr. Okamoto would just give a recommendation over the phone for me to receive a narcotic pain pill, then she could prescribe it to me and have it sent in to the pharmacy over the phone. She called his office for me and talked to him and he said No, he didn't think I needed it. REALLY? Based on what? He never asked me any pain specific questions or if I was taking anything at that time, the only way I walked in to his office was because I had taken some Hydrocodone I had from a previous back issue. I told him I had numbness and pain going down my leg, totally not normal. He looked me right in the eyes and said he prescribed something for me after I told him I was in pain and needed something. I checked the box on the questionnaire saying the pain was high enough I couldn't function normally, which I think was a level 6, but only because I was already on pain meds at the time. So the next day I had to go to the emergency room wracked in pain when all he had to do is say yes to my dr. over the phone. The emergency room gave me a prescription pain medication on the spot and a prescription, no problem. The real kicker was getting the bill, I had to pay about $1,400 in emergency room bills for a 1/2 hour visit to get $10 worth of drugs, and I have good health insurance! I honestly can't say if the several chiropractic visits helped me or not, I was suffering from Sciatica which causes numbness and pain from the lower back down into my leg and shin. I never noticed any immediate effect from the treatments but I kept going to give him the benefit of the doubt. I also went to my regular dr. that first week and he prescribed Prednisone and pain pills which helped me the most. The main reason I am writing is because I didn't feel the dr. took the time to try and talk to me about my condition, each visit with him was quite short and I always got curt responses. I was in the process of looking for a new bed and desk chair (which I thought might impact my skeletal health), so I asked him if he could give any recommendations, his response was simply, "No." No explanation at all, just no. Any time I tried to make small talk it was like he was highly uncomfortable with any sort of communication with me. I honestly think that because I listed Yelp! as the way I discovered his business, and because I checked the box saying I didn't want them to pray for me, he put me in some sort of "bad customer" category in his mind and just wanted to get me out the door. I think he has had other negative reviews from Yelpers and so anyone coming in from Yelp is treated like a pariah. To his credit, he did give me two free sessions when there was no progress in my treatment at one point, they didn't make up for the $1,400 lost to the emergency room though. read more

Dr. Okamoto and his staff are wonderful! I have two herniated discs in my lower neck and all the doctors I went too said I needed to have surgery. My husband heard about Dr. Okamoto on the radio and we thought we would give this a try first. I'm so glad we did. After three and a half months of treatments I am doing great. No more pain and I am able to turn my head again. Tis is the first time in over a year and a half that I can move and that I am not hurting 24 hours a day. I highly reccommend Dr. Okamoto to anyone. Dr. Okamoto and his staff are amazing! They are incredibly caring, and nobody can make a hurting body feel better than Dr. Okamoto! We first visited him 12 years ago after a car accident that left my 8-year-old son and I messed up. We had been to traditional doctors, massage therapists and even physical therapy, but my migraine headaches persisted for an entire year before my husband insisted that we take our son, who had a visible hump on his neck, to Dr. Okamoto. There was no way that I was going to some quacky chiropractor, I insisted after hearing horror stories about other chiropractors, but I went as a protective mother bear. Before my eyes, in the gentlest manner, Dr. Okamoto got rid of the hump on my son's neck in that first visit. This previous chiropractic "chicken" then signed herself up, and Dr. Okamoto took away my migraines in a few visits and healed all the other challenges going on with my body (whiplash, back pain, hip pain, etc.). I have since returned whenever my back or hips need adjusting because nothing else works, and Dr. Okamoto gets me feeling good in no time. I have since referred lots of people there, many of which were "difficult cases" such as myself, and Dr. Okamoto has blessed them all with the same never-before-achieved-by-another-physician's amazing, healing results! I would've put zero stars as this is what they deserve. Here is my experience with them. I called in, towards the beginning of August, to set up an initial consultation for my daughter, they didn't have an opening until 3 weeks later, I needed a Saturday appt. So I scheduled a Sat appt. I called on the day I made the appt and the receptionist guy apologized but supposedly they had to cancel me because the doctor was ill....no problem, I totally understand that people get sick, I wasn't mad, just never got the cancellation phone call, so we made an appt for the very next Saturday...today, at 11am. I drove over an hour to get to their office, I went to check in and I wasn't on the appt list...then, here is the clincher...he said that they no longer take new clients. Excuse me? You don't? Then why didn't you tell me, when I said an "initial consultation", so that I wouldn't have driven for over an hour to go to you and worse!!!!!! Instead of going elsewhere to get help for my daughter, I waited for the appointment they said I had! That was strike 2. These people suck so freaking bad. Not only will I never go back, even if they start to accept new patients again, I will NOT recommend them, ever! You all suck. read more
