This human, because he cared that there was a pregnant woman in the house, finished the job in Alabama, drove to my home, completed the repair at 8:30 at night and did it quickly and quietly so as not to "disturb the family". THIS PERSON understands service, was as efficient as I've ever seen and was the nicest individual I've ever dealt with when it comes to HVAC service. Their tech basically told me to ditch my furnaces and ACs because they are old. That's no reason to ditch anything. I had him recharge them to the tune of $77/lb of refigeratent. that set me back 4 or 500 bucks. Lost more a month later, called Coolray, and they told me likely my coils were bad. Not merely fishing for sales, they quoted me $1800/unit on the coils and that since we were near end of season, recommended I might find an independent HVAC guy to install them a little cheaper in the off season. I have always liked Coolray because of their customer service and honesty. I get a referral for Randy Holt and AC Squad from a great friend at work. He and his son (who I later learned started his career with Coolray. Besides being genuinely nice like his dad, this did not surprise me) spent 1.5 to 2 hours trying to diagnose the problem, including a leak test that's been quoted by other outfits (Coolray, Estes, Total Aircare) at like $130-150. They did not even charge me. Randy told me the same diagnosis as what Coolray had suspected. Since it was end of season, I wait until Spring. I have Randy install the coils in May, but there was still a concern that if I ran out again, the problem would be my compressors. Well, I continued to loose refrigerant. I had to make a choice. Before I'm scheduled, Randy has come out twice to charge up my units (his price is $66/lb refrigerant) to ensure I am comfortable. Neither time he charged me. I'm going to say it again, he never charged me those two times for refrigerant. That stuff is not cheap! Today he installed my two new Amana compressors at a reasonable price. Randy and AC Squad are professional, courteous, prompt, honest, thorough, efficient, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend them.

Here's a nice detailed review for the HVAC hunter:…read more This was a 5 month ordeal that these folks fixed in a matter of days: We got a new heat pump through our warranty company back in Sept 2014. The original contractor that installed our Air Handler were atrocious. The unit was not installed right, building codes were violated, parts were not replaced, vents were restricted, and the emergency heat didn't work, fuses were blowing on a weekly basis. After 2 other companies failed to come fix our unit, our warranty company assigned Anglin air to come out. I got my first phone call the same day they were assigned to the case. The dispatcher, Judy, did an A1 job throughout the entire process. From scheduling, to updates, to detailing what needed to be done, I was informed the whole way through. Not to mention, I was in Utah for 4 days and these guys did the ENTIRE job before I got home. I trusted them to get in and out, sight unseen to me, and just relying on my home security system to make sure there was no funny business. Came home on the fourth day and went to our attic to inspect the work. They did a compete makeover. Changing supports, adding new duct work, replacing the duct tape I had to use to keep the thing in one piece with actual concrete plaster-like material. Turned on the air and swoosh all systems are on full blast. I even noticed some insulation reinforcement on our freon lines which were not there before. I'm no HVAC expert but I seriously wish I had these guys the first time around. This ordeal was a complete nightmare until Anglin sent their troops in. I have pictures of their work which I am adding: I'm all about "The proof is in the pudding" well...pictures, not pudding (yum) so check it out. They earned this 5 star review hand over hand.
