This was a pleasant lunch stop on the way home from the Duluth Home Depot. It was quiet for a Saturday lunch but the clientele looked local which was promising. Hubby ordered samosas and onion bhaji- 2 of his favorite snacks. Plenty of tamarind and mint sauce included. I ordered the sev puri chaat which took a minute to chat with the manager on how to close the gaps for my expectations. It was served with cold potatoes in there instead of the curry chick peas which is how I am familiar/enjoy the recipe. A side of curry chick peas were provided at no additional charge and I gobbled up a fair portion- it seemed like there were 10-12 portions. Cricket and soccer matches were on the tv sets. Only odd note- the glasses are already on the tables and turned upside down. That seems like it could be unsanitary if the tables are not properly cleaned. We ordered tons of things - papadi chaat, Kachori chaat from appetizer section and daal tadka, tandoori chicken, chixken masala, shaam savera from entrees with the bread selection - garlic naan, bullet naan, tandoori roti. My favorite part was appetizers - and why not as this is famous for street food. Excellent taste, huge quantity and really yummy! Came here for lunch before a movie at Regal. They were still disinfecting and getting ready for service when we walked in. We ordered chhole bhature and a chicken appetizer. Bhature was weird looking calzone shaped bread that was a bit gummy - it is supposed to be round, crispy and flaky and soft on the inside. Chicken appetizer was decent. It rained heavily while we were there and water came in from the exit door closer to the restrooms. There was an inch of water on the floor near it and some was still gushing in. We came in and were the only table at the restaurant, while there were a bunch of take out orders. The service was good, but not sure if it was because we were the only ones there lol. We ordered garlic naan, chicken tikki masala, shrimp korma, and butter chicken. The tikki masala was more on the sweeter side, which we weren't a fan of. The best tasting entree was the shrimp korma. We ended up going with our server's recommendations - Chicken 65: Good, not as crispy as I normallly like - Masti Wings: Decent. Not crispy though - Sheek Kabab: My favorite since it had the most flavor - Vegetable biriyana: Flavorful rice - Garlic naan: Weak. I had to go back and try it again but this time something on the menu. Nothing but just a food update. I went with the Lamb Biriyani and this dish kicks you in your teeth! It's not a curry but more of a "fried rice" dish but not so fried, just cooked up with tons of spices from cardamom to cloves garnished with cilantro (coriander). I decided to shoot for medium spice and it just... slaps!!!!! Nothing changed in the ambiance or the service as per my previous review but again, it's a place where the food is enjoyed by Indians as much of the patronage is in fact Indians, I saw maybe three non-Indian tables, myself being one of the three. A nice sit down place that specializes in Indian fusion. I really liked the Aloo Tikki burgers and the curly fries. The potatoes patties were spiced pretty well and I like the cabbage slaw. Not a fan of the tomatoes sauce they served with the fries it didn't have a lot of flavor and was watery. The garlic naan was huge and paired especially well with the egg curry. I love the food at Masti! I've been going here for a few years now and always find something new to try. My favorites here so far would have to be be paneer tikka masala pasta and the paneer Bhurji quesadilla. The chaat options are also amazing!! I wish the curries were a bit spicier though as they are pretty mild. The restaurant is cozy and has a great atmosphere with a friendly staff. This place was so amazing. From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted with excellent customer service. We had the Deconstructed Samosa Chat. It was very delicious. We also had the Lamb Chop Masala and Tawa Malai Peneer. It was so good. Very flavorful and delicious also. The smell of the food would make you hungry. Lamb Naan was mind blowing delicious. After hearing all about this place, I decided to stop by with my family for lunch on a Saturday. We were seated pretty quickly and greeted with smiles. We went with the Masti Pasta, garlic naan and chicken lababdar. What we didn't know was that the Masti pasta came with garlic naan as well so we ended up taking some home with us. The pasta was very delicious and creamy and had a good amount of chicken in there. The sauce was delicious and I really liked the Italian and Indian fusion. We got our food fairly quickly and overall it was enough for 4 people to eat! There is plenty of seating, and they do have to go orders as well. Located in the heart of the Medlock Bridge plaza, this is an overall solid choice for Indian food. You'll have no trouble finding any parking here. I've done both dine-in and take-out and this is one of the few places where I feel like the take-out quality is not significantly worse than dine-in. Frequented this place quite often when I lived in the Duluth area and I do still make the trip back when visiting. My go-to dishes here are the Lababdar Curry with Paneer and the Garlic Naan. I like it very spicy and they are able to do it here which is a plus. Portion sizes are decent although I do wish they gave you more protein though as it does seem weighted towards giving more veggies instead. Naan is also done very well here and arguably some of the best in the Johns Creek area. Price is a bit high especially for the amount of food, but that's pretty much the case everywhere these days. Lunch special is a bit more reasonable, but if you order take-out for dinner, it will be a bit more. Service is whatever, but I don't typically expect too much when it comes to Indian food so I'm not going to dock them for that. When dining in, they typically bring room-temperature/warm water, which truthfully I'm not a fan of, I would much prefer iced water. But I will say the decor is decently nice and would categorize this place as a good casual meal out. read more

My friend recommended this place for Indian food and we decided to stop by for lunch on a Saturday. We came by late afternoon and there were still a handful of costumers. They also have half of the restaurant separate for what looked like a private event. The menu is pretty extensive. I'm glad she told me specific things to order and we settled on Samosa chat, thali and Bollywood Masti. The samosa chat were 3 samosa nestled in this sweet savory concoction with chickpeas and sauce. It was nicely fried and I love the crispy exterior. Thali has a nice naan and crispy bread that accompany various sauces and offers vegetarian or meat option (we opted for veggie). I love the naan and there were 2 sauces along with a spinach and a cauliflower mini dish. My favorite is the Bollywood Masti. The presentation was impression. And there were butter chicken and sauces hidden inside. The crepe was fun and the butter chicken is fantastic. I think I'll have to come and have a full order of the butter chicken. It was flavorful and chicken was nice and tender. It was an experience and I would love to try many other of the options they have to offer as well. They had Bollywood music cranking, staff was friendly and quick and most importantly our orders came out without much of a wait. Glad it did as we were all very hungry! We ordered a good amount of dishes amongst the 8 of us, paneer sliders, pizza dosa, vegetable sabzi, paneer tikka masala, butter naan, roti, cholay bhature, aam Pana and 2 veggie noodles. This place is in the medlock plaza where there's a bunch of other stores and a movie theater. They are always good for a quick bite. It is a sit down place but the service is pretty quick. There's plenty of parking out front too. I ordered the mango lassi and the chicken 65. It's not my favorite place for chicken 65 but it's still good. The mango lassi is perfect. The only downside about this place is that it's kind of pricey. Other Indian street food restaurants are more affordable for a quick bite, but this is one of the only good ones in the area. read more

First I'll say If service was better it would be 5* hands down! We were seated promptly and they brought out water and plates quickly as well. Then we perused the menu for awhile and had to ask to be able to put in drinks. Sodas are by the can pricing at $2.50. We also ordered two cocktails. The Sheila Ki Jawani and the Mumbai Mule. The Sheila was the better of the two - look up the name on YouTube it's a song! We finished drinks before flagging someone down to order food. We got butter, garlic, and bullet naan to start and all was delicious. For our entrees we got the lamb special which was in a mango curry sauce, the Hakka noodles, tikka Masala, and butter chicken tacos. If you're scared of spice and don't want anything too spicy you're pretty safe here. The medium spice level was tolerable for everyone at the table. Every bit of it was delicious!! *The lamb special with the mango sauce was my favorite and it was my fiancé's dish so we all know I snuck several bites of it throughout the meal. *The tacos are in more of a pancake type of taco shell which really holds in the flavor well. *The tikka Masala was medium spicy and had a little kick without being too much. *The Hakka noodles had a good flavor with the spicy sauce on them, but the mango curry sauce I liberated from my fiancé's plate to put on a bite really elevated it to the next level. The wait staff was very kind and friendly, but not the most attentive which was mentioned in a few other reviews.
