Had a really great experience at QL Hot Pot. They offer a ton of options, so it's easy to build exactly the kind of meal you're craving. The service was excellent the whole time, and the staff kept everything moving smoothly. The restaurant itself is clean, airy, and bright, which makes the whole meal feel even more enjoyable. The only thing I'd point out is that the bathroom is a bit small for how big the restaurant is, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. One perk you shouldn't miss: dessert is free. Definitely take advantage of that before you leave. Overall, a great spot with lots of choices, great service, and a comfortable atmosphere. I'd happily come back.

There are plenty of parking spots in the plaza if the spaces directly in front of the restaurant are full. My family went for an early dinner around 5 PM, so the restaurant was mostly empty, with only two other occupied tables. However, while we were dining, the place filled up quickly. The restaurant is clean, bright, and well decorated, with plenty of seating options, including private dining rooms and open seating areas. There is a sauce bar and a dessert bar featuring fruit, candies, sweet soups, and more. The sauce bar costs $4 per person, which also includes access to the dessert bar. I'm still not sure how they keep track of who uses the sauce bar and how many people in a group choose to use it, or if they simply charge based on the number of people at the table. The service was very friendly and attentive. It also helped that we arrived before the dinner rush, so the menu was explained thoroughly and the server answered all of our questions. They also give you disposable hot pot bib and gloves. In addition to hot pot, they offer a variety of other dishes, as well as separate drink and dessert menus. At the end of the meal, they give you a complimentary ice cream bar. The flavors available during our visit were ube, mango, and melon. These are packaged ice cream bars rather than scooped ice cream served in a cup. They tasted good, although I wish they offered a chocolate flavor as well. You can choose a single pot, a half-and-half pot, or a triple pot, all for the same price. We chose the half-and-half option with the herbal broth and golden chicken broth. Both were flavorful and delicious. Since it was our first visit, we ordered the seafood combo, mushroom combo, freshly cut short rib, instant noodles, and the Lady M matcha cake for dessert. The broths were excellent, and the ingredients were very fresh, which is one of the most important factors in a good hot pot experience. My family was completely full by the end of the meal, and we all had a great experience. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back whenever we're in the mood for hot pot!

First time here and overall a solid hotpot place! You pay one flat amount for the hotpot soup bases (can choose multiple) and then pay per plate for meats, veggies, etc. There is also a small fee for the sauce bar. I ordered the 1 meter beef (which is the beef belly cut), Australian Kobe beef, and avocado mango smoothie with the spicy and mushroom soup bases. The food came out relatively fast and the Australian Kobe beef was quite good, super tender after cooking! But at that price, I felt the portion was a little small. The beef belly was also good, especially for the price, but wasn't really high quality which is what I would expect for a pay per plate hotpot style. Solid but not special. The drink menu is quite extensive and was pretty good, really liked the avocado mango smoothie as it had a slightly yogurt taste but had flavors that really complemented each other! Broth flavors were also solid, but towards the end the spicy broth became very oily and it was hard to sift through all the small chopped peppers and peppercorns that were mixing with the meat. Overall a solid hotpot place in terms of food! The waiters would visit and check in a good amount and were really friendly. They also refilled the hotpot bases with the correct specific soup instead of a generic one, which a lot of other places do not do. Newly opened, the area is really spacious and also up to date! Again a solid hotpot place with quite a large range of options for meat, drinks, etc

Great hot pot spot with big portions so bring family and friends! I got the passion fruit fizz and it was delicious!

Giant portions so bring family and friends! Ordered the three broth option (tum yum, spicy, chicken collagen)

The service is fast and there's a good amount of seating, so it's ok for larger groups. They have an extensive sauce bar that also has desserts and sides (there are two areas and they're different)! For the actual food, nothing was standout and if anything, the tripe didn't feel all that fresh. The cut of beef was too thick so it became tough to eat.

Lily S.

Very similar to haidilao: there were side dishes along with fruits and desserts and candies for grabs. $4/pp The spicy broth was good and used legit beef tallow 牛油 It took forever to get our meat. But our server was super nice

Came for dinner and we got three soups to try! It was $13! We got chicken, tomato and the spicy beef tallow. The spicy broth was sooo oily! Even from the picture you could just see the oils. And the chicken one was not very flavorful. The tomato was probably the best one. The food took over an hour to arrive! And by the time it had arrived half the soup was already boiled away. And my drink never arrived at all. The meat was pretty fresh I would say. I wish for the price you get more vegetables though. A small vege platter was $10. My favorite items were the fish and the shrimp paste. The sauce bar is also $4 per person. Not really worth it in my opinion as th appetizer bar was slim. Overalll, the service was friendly though he was very busy and never stopped by till we asked. They definitely need either more servers or people in the back. Because we spent a total of 3.5 hours there and most of it was just waiting for the food.

Miyuki Y.

(4.5) meat quality and food quality in general is insane.. so GOOD! Since it's not an all you can eat, I wish they had more vegetable platters because with 2 people it's kinda hard to get all the vegetables you want especially when it's by order... but if a large group is there you will have an easier time ordering. Portions here are HUGE! Service is great as well. Def would come back

Great Place for Hotpot with family and friends Delicious food, nice service! Will come back

Is this new famous hotpot restaurant worth the hype? Yes, I have been to one of their Chicago locations with associates visiting from China before, so I was interested in how the Duluth location compared. Everyone knows that Duluth is where you visit for an authentic and delicious meal. So, there is definitely competition in the area for hot pot. What makes this business special? Elevated broth quality, sweet soups on sauce bar, modern atmosphere, tea menu, and meats sliced fresh to order. Should I visit here? Yes, definitely visit if you are a hotpot conissour, have a party of 4-6 people, don't mind making reservations, and have at least $50+ per person to spend. What I tried: Sauce Bar - Not used to a "sauce bar" costing money, but this one was $3.99/person to make your own sauce. It was missing peppercorn oil, and black vinegar, but the other ingredients were acceptable. Also, the bar includes fruit, and tongsui 糖水, as well as some cold dishes. Broth - My favorite foodie @nails_summeryang recommended their 花胶鸡 = Huā jiāo jī (fish maw chicken soup) broth base to me, so I had to try it. it was rich, like a salted egg yolk flavor. Other broths are Chongqing Spicy Broth, Tomato, Mushroom, Herbal Chicken, Pepper Pork Tripe, Thai Tom Yum, and Hot Sour Golden. My favorite, as always expected, was the Hot Sour Golden. Meat - I had the One Meter Sliced Beef for $12.95. Note that most meats are sliced to order, which you can watch live at the counter. The meats here vary in price, starting with lowest being around $12. The meat serving is much larger than expected, and was very filling. Meatball - For hotpot, my favare always fresh meatballs, not frozen. Which I prefer over dumplings because the filling is what is important, right? So, I tried the Beef & Cilantro, as well as my favorite shrimp paste. Bubble Tofu - This is their special tofu skin wide shape, like a noodle. The tofu skin has bubbles that form on the surface when cooked, hence the name. Vegetables - Standarsld fare of veg to choose from, overpriced so you will see customers ordering more meat than veg. Desserts - The dessert menu is not necessary, as there are so many desserts on the sauce bar, but I couldn't keep myself from ordering the fried sweet rice cakes. Drinks - Large tea and drink menu, but I was already over budget, so just sipped provided water and broth instead. Special Dishes - This section of the menu is honestly where you should order from.

We found a restaurant not far from the matcha shop. It felt more like a Chinese takeout spot than a traditional sit-down restaurant, so there wasn't much to speak of in terms of decor. We decided to share everything we ordered. The first dish we tried was the Szechuan noodles. The flavor was excellent, but unfortunately, the dish arrived only lukewarm, as it appeared to have been sitting for a while before being brought to the table. Next, we ordered soup dumplings, but the restaurant accidentally brought out pan-seared dumplings instead. Thankfully, they let us keep them while they prepared our original order. The pan-seared dumplings were actually very good--piping hot and full of flavor. When the soup dumplings finally arrived, they were decent but didn't quite live up to the pan-seared version and lacked the same level of flavor. Finally, our Szechuan chicken arrived. It was hot, fresh, and delicious. The chicken was crispy with a great spice profile that delivered the classic Szechuan kick without being overwhelming. It was served with fried rice, which was fine but nothing particularly memorable. Overall, the experience was good but not exceptional. The food had some strong points, especially the Szechuan chicken and pan-seared dumplings, but the restaurant ultimately felt more like a solid Chinese takeout spot than a destination dining experience.

We were greeted quickly at both the door and table. For a dumpling house, there weren't that many options for dumplings. We order two types of dumplings, a noodle dish and an entree on recommendation of the staff. The pork soup dumplings were very soupy on the inside and had a good flavor. The pan fried bao dumplings were alright but morning to write home about; I thought the bun to filling ratio was good for a bao though. For noodles we got the house rice noodles. I typically don't order this but I thought it was really well done with a good ratio of ingredients and flavor. Lastly we ordered the sales egg pork ribs. They were cut to bite size pieces but that's deceptive since they were bone in. Some pieces were all bone and some all meat. While the flavor was good, some might call it dry and the cut made it difficult to eat. While the seasoning for all the dishes were flavorful, I thought the salt was a little heavy. Overall the restaurant was clean with a semi modern decor. The staff were all friendly and tried to be helpful throughout the visit. I'd give it a try if you're in the neighborhood.

Overall, we were impressed with their service and food preparation more than the food itself, all the dishes were good, but no dish stands out to my expectations for a Michelin Bib Gourmand, so the price as well. Here was our experience: Appetizer-Signature Salted Chicken: the skin was crispy; we ordered Steamed Pork Dumplings outside of regular menu, it's so so; main dish - Mapo Tofu W. Minced Pork: taste good, tofu was very soft; Stir-Fried Pork Belly with Green Pepper: pork part was good, pepper was on the raw side, not matching the pork; soup - Tofu and Veggies Duck bone Soup: taste diluted with more water; Desert - Peach Gummies with Tremella: cold and smooth. I feel like to give 3 and half stars, but 4 stars anyway.
