It was 98% identical to the cake I had sent her a picture of from Pinterest. The cake was not dry and her swiss meringue buttercream is to Diiiiiieeee for! Not too sweet, not to bland..it was perfect! I live in Anchorage which is about an hour drive from Wasilla, and Lisa was able to deliver the cake 2 hours before the party. My niece loved it so much she was so against us eating her cake because it looked so beautiful. Sadly to say, it was devoured in less then 10 minutes. Thanks Lisa!

Lisa is very rude, unprofessional, does not do what she offers during the cake tasting and interview, did not show up on time. You do not want a flakey, rude, unprofessional vendor at your wedding. I have screenshots of her rudeness and pictures of the cake fail. What is on the left of the cake is how the cake looked and on the right is what I had in mind but in a lavender color. I did not get even close to what was agreed upon. On her texts shows how unprofessional Lisa can be. We agreed she would be at the venue at 2 she didn't get there till 3:30 and my scheduled wedding was at 4.

It turns out to be a full-service espresso joint with in-house baked goods. Mostly cupcakes and cookies. There are a few brunch or lunch type of menu items but it is fairly limited. The food that was in the cooler looked good, there were also a few hot dishes to be offered. I was visiting with the person behind the counter and I started to pick up real quick that this person had skin in the game and a passion for baking cakes, cupcakes, pies, and she added that she could make any dessert that a person could want. I am well aware that the most important ingredient in any kitchen is passion. It is apparent that they are buying in bulk! She told me that she will be making a lot of pies for Thanksgiving, pretty much any flavor that you could want. Custom cakes are the specialty. When a gawdy, airbrushed, cake with a doll on it from Carrs it's just a little bit too tacky for your occasion, this will be your place! I wound up walking out with three different flavors of cookies. I just wanted to make sure that they were good if I was going to write about the place. They were! My doctor says that I've got no place eating cookies. But hey, if I'm going to break bad, this is where I'm going to do it. The cookies reminded me of mom's kitchen when I was a little boy. U select the flavors, cup or waffle cones and add-ons or you can choose one of the many combinations that they have posted on the walls. Each month they have at least two special flavors with ingredients to choose from. They have a showcase with 12 different flavors and you can select one or more flavors or the listed combinations. The ice cream is rich, creamy and firm when served but be careful as it melts very fast. I have never seen ice cream that melted that fast except in burning hot climates. If you're picking them up to take home be sure to have a container to put them in unless you like to wear the ice cream. Even the cups with plastic lids will leak. The service varies by the amount of customers standing inline. The servers are always friendly and as efficient as possible. There is limited seating available so most is choose and carry or home delivery. Never have we tried home delivery because I am little Leary of the melt factor and time to deliver. They have a small selection of ice cream cakes, cup cakes and frozen treats in a glass refrigerator in front. I have had their cakes, cupcakes and some of the treats. They are very good but pricy. You pay for the work the staff has to do to make them. They have a loyalty program that you earn points and discounts on your purchase price. If you patronize them and sign up for text messages it can be very worthwhile. Parking is not a problem usually and it is free in shopping center lot. I highly recommend Cold Stone for the quality and price of their products and services. They accept card cards, cash and have a single bathroom used by all customers.
