Hidden Gem in Canton on north Canton Center Rd. Beautiful interior very welcoming! Prompt service, kind & patient while making my selection. I ordered the Honeycomb to go, nice to go packing. I did not try any of their drinks as I am not a coffee drinker. I want to support local small businesses so if they have sweets I will try it. After a few bites I realized this is supposed to be warmed up, they did not tell me this. Much better when heated and drizzled with honey. I would give it an 7 out of 10 just not for me. Had a lovely experience at Matari today! First time stopping in and there were no other customers at 9:30am on Sunday morning. The staff was very friendly and greeted us right away. We ordered two pistachio lattes and two little treats. Somewhat expensive but I will say everything tasted great! Our lattes looked beautiful and were delicious. We enjoyed them along with a lemon cake and a strawberry mouse pastry and not only were they adorable but they were so fresh. Stopped by for a warm drink after a heavy dinner. I ordered the Matari Chai Latte. I was unaware it came with pistachios as a garnish on top of the drink. It's not listed on the menu either. After alerting the staff of my allergy they remade the drink for me without the garnish. It was really good! I apologized for not disclosing my allergy and they also apologized for not alerting me of the garnish. Very nice people. The layout of the entire place is very trendy and has a high-end vibe to it. This place is so pretty!!! I love the vibes inside the coffee shop, and there's definitely enough seating for you to hang out with friends or get some work done. I got the pistachio latte and my husband got the caramel latte. They were both delicious!! The perfect amount of sweet without it being overwhelming. I've visited here a few times and every experience has been solid! The space itself inside is beautiful and the beverages and pastries I've had have been excellent. Most recently I ordered an iced vanilla latte, a mango dragon fruit drink with coconut milk, and a slice of knafeh cheesecake. The dragon fruit drink was so good! It's comparable to a similar beverage offered at a big coffee chain but just different enough to make it better. The cheesecake was also quite good. Just the right amount of richness and just sweet enough, though you could up the ante on that with the syrup provided on the side. And the latte, of course, was also very good. They have their own inhouse beans which are strong but flavorful. I also really like their two signature drinks, the Yemeni latte and adeni chai. Since they're both infused with spices I prefer to take those hot and in the colder months. I also love their attention to detail. From the little corked glass vial of sugar syrup for my cheesecake to the beautiful to-go bags with gold foil accents. Charge up your phone when you visit because you're going to want to take pictures of everything! read more

This coffee shop is located in the plaza with its independent parking. Easy to get a spot and walk in. They had a lot of options to choose from, but the service was not super available or attentive. It was very bright in there, though, so the ambience was nice. I end up just getting a sweet dish versus coffee because they couldn't answer the questions I had in regards to some of their specialties. Overall the desert was interesting. Once I walked in, I stopped to take in the beautiful decor and amazing smells. As we approached the counter, I couldn't help but drool a little after seeing all the pastries. It took a lot of self control not to order everything, but I'll be back! For drinks, we ordered the mocha and the Matari latte. The Matari latte is green tea based. Honestly, the most beautiful latte that I have ever had. We had our puppy with us, so we had to take everything to go. I would love to come back and enjoy a cup next time! What a beautiful shop! It's so warm and inviting, and I can totally work out of there for a few hours. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I opted for the pumpkin cheesecake and matari tea. The cheesecake was light and fluffy, and the tea reminded me of atrawberry milk. It was green tea with rose flavors and topped with pistachio. I'm not a fan of chewing my tea so when I got home, I put it through a strainer to get the nuts out, so next time I'll ask for those to be omitted. I'll definitely be back! We came here as part of a Yelp event. We had the Mofawar Latte and the Yemeni Latte. Both were flavored with lots of spices like cardamom and cloves. I really liked the fact that you could customize the drinks by ordering with or without sugar or with a non-dairy milk like oat or almond milk. We were going to get one of the Yemeni desserts, but ended up getting a Kashmiri Chai cupcake and a Ras Malai cupcake. They were both really good, but my favorite was the Ras Malai. Matari is designed so chic and modern and the staff working there were so friendly and offered many recommendations as a first timer in there. Their coffees are beautifully made and so flavorful and smooth and their pastries are so decadent and delicious! They can also make their drinks vegan or with non-dairy milk which is a huge plus! This place is very cute, modern, and worth the visit. The place has its roots from Yemen, and so it was a new experience for me. My recommendation is to go with some friends, get a drink you wouldn't normally pick, and order a few different pastry/dessert items and split it! That way you can really try different parts of the menu. #1 recommendation: the honey bread ($5). I would even say you should order 1/person (2 people max). It's so delicious. I got the honey on the side, and recommend to do so, so you can control how sweet it is. #2 recommendation: the white chocolate raspberry macroon. It's big, it's sweet, it has delicious flavors. One of my more favorite items on the menu. #3 recommendation: If you're going for breakfast/brunch or a afternoon snack, I really liked the savory pastries. I got the tomato basil one, and it was packed with flavor and flaky. I liked it. I wasn't the biggest fan of the pistachio cheesecake or the lotus cake, because of the sweetness, however I was going in the morning. It may be a dessert to get after dinner! Both were still great though, and I'm glad I tried them. Overall, I really liked this place. It gets very busy on the weekend. No seats left on a Sunday late morning! I first found this place through a Yelp elite event but have visited several times since then. The first thing I noticed and fell in love with was the atmosphere. They always have quiet instrumental music playing in the background. Visually it's stunning, very modern and yet still manages to be welcoming. The chairs are comfortable and the tables are spaced nicely so you have a bit of privacy. A lot of people bring laptops and work while others are enjoying conversation and delicious pastries. My favorite thing has to be the honeycomb. I always get that, whether to eat there or to go. It's not overly sweet, none of their desserts are, and the cream cheese with the touch of honey is perfection. I also love that you can stay and enjoy good conversation with friends and not feel like your time is limited. Every staff person we have encountered has been so kind and you can see the pride they have while making you a Turkish coffee or heating up your slice of honeycomb. Bonus...
