A kinda hidden & lowkey matcha spot in the outskirts of Chinatown. Calm and minimal interior design (a lot of diy which is cool). Got the lavender matcha here (~$8) and it was alright. I feel like they needed to add more lavender for the taste to stay throughout the drink. At first the lavender was potent but as you mix it with the matcha the taste disappeared and it just tasted like a regular matcha latte at the end which was kinda disappointing. The shop was being run by some teens when I stopped by, they were professional but maybe not the most experienced when it comes to making these type of drinks. Overall a decent spot but given the amount of cafes opening in the city, let alone in that area, this spot doesn't stand out much.

Stopped in here after visiting Banh by Lauren nearby. Iced banana hojicha latte was absolutely perfect. It's now tied with Kettl as my favorite hojicha in the city. Small place but they have some seating. Will be back!

Went here on a Saturday afternoon and waited in line for around 20-30 minutes. The store is super tiny and they make all drinks by order so be prepared to stand around for a little! I ordered the banana matcha and honestly I think it's a little overhyped. The banana flavoring comes from a generic syrup and is kind of laffy taffy tasting. I would come back for the regular matcha in the future if the line isn't too bad!

Matcha 108 is a small shop with limited seating and friendly service. Two young women behind the counter took orders and prepared the different flavored matcha lattes and hojicha lattes. I've never had a hojicha latte before so it was an easy choice to try. Hojicha is a Japanese roasted green tea. I was recommended to add sugar which I chose 50 percent. It was the right amount of sweetness. Overall, it is a great addition to the neighborhood. I can't believe how much the neighborhood has changed.

Went to try the rose matcha latte and it was very good!! The rose flavor was so aromatic and flavorful!!

Great matcha! My sis had the iced lavender and I tried the iced banana matcha, both very well balanced & not too sweet. Inside is small and staff friendly, it wasn't too long of a wait. Will come back to try their hojicha next time.

Heard good things about Matcha 108 and decided to check it out. It's a small shop serving matcha with some seating. I got the lavender matcha and was served quickly. The lavender was very fragrant and sweet. Unique taste. Would go back to try the different flavors on the menu.

Top tier lowkey matcha in this city. In a quiet street in Chinatown/LES. Friendly, williamsburg vibes. Extremely flavorful banana matcha and banana hojicha! Strong preference for the banana hojicha for a brown butter, banana bread flavor with hojicha. Friendly staff and quick at making your drinks!

Matcha was yummy and people were friendly. Also liked the vibe. Didnt think it was spectacular though.

The vibe of matcha 108 is great! Super nice place to study or hangout with friends. The service is quick and the staff is super friendly! I appreciate that they automatically don't serve cow milk it's a great place if you are dairy free! My only complaint is that if you get a matcha with almond milk, the milk takes the majority of the flavor, so definitely choose a different milk!

Small, unassuming matcha shop located in Two Bridges with my favorite matcha in Manhattan. This place is no frills and they don't skimp on the matcha powder. It's strong and it's creamy. Of the times I've gone here, I haven't had to wait too long for my drinks! Some notes: they use oat milk & there's minimal seating in the store.

This is the coolest matcha place I've been too and nothing can compared. When they say their matcha is ceremonial grade then you know Matcha 108 is not lying. Their matcha is very bright green compared to a lot of matcha places I've been to. I decided to go for their matcha banana latte and it was so cool and tasty. Could taste a subtle of banana syrup in the matcha. The matcha grade was so bright green that I licked every piece of matcha I could find in the cup! Also the interior of the store is so nice! Lots of Japanese armory and pieces of art! Love the wallpaper! There's also a racket full of clothes sitting against the wall, which I did not find it fit with the rest of the Japanese artwork. There bathroom is a bathroom behind the curtains in the back, which is a tight fit to get to. The bathroom is really small and looks like a bathroom in your own apartment because it has an old shower inside.

Amazing spot I found out of the blue. Seems fairly new, small cute space with a clothing boutique. Place was amazing. I don't really get hojicha or matcha, but this was the best Hojicha I've had! Wasn't too sweet and was so rich and flavorful. Small spot but lovely decorated interior. Would definitely go! Worker was nice and very good at making matcha/hojicha.

We were worried that the large might be too much for two people but honestly we were able to finish it without a problem. The melon pieces were sweet, the ice is milk based so it was creamy and flavorful on its own. We barely used the condensed milk that it came with (and we loved how they put it on the side for us instead). At the bottom of the shaved ice was cereal pieces and mochi which gave a nice different texture. We also tried their drinks specifically their blue lemonade and mango-ade which I thought was just ok. The highlight is definitely their shaved ice. Definitely go for the large as the small seemed much smaller and for double the price, you can get almost 2-3x more.
