    Matcha Vanilla London Fog
    Vanessa T.

This place has been on my hit list for a while and I was finally able to try it and unfortunately it kind of dissapointed. I love matcha and this just wasn't great. The London fog was very overkill and super sweet so the matcha was almost not present. For $8 i expected more but this is also my first visit! I hope to be back for a great coffee of some sort!! Cafe is super cute and spacious for small seating outside! Neighbors is great and will be back whenever i am in need of coffee!

Being right across the street from Enly doesn't take away any of the appeal for The Elk. It was slightly busier than Enly although the major pro to The Elk, aside from offering a full menu for food and having a cute mini grocery store full of unique and specialty foods, is that they have a nice patio with seating. The bistro seats up front are reserved for The Elk guests and adjacent to a cute neighborhood garden. The breakfast burrito was super fresh and full of quality ingredients. Both iced coffees we had were topped with cold foam but I can't recall the names (seasonal only). They were so good and not heavy or too sweet!

The shop is small and the service was fast and very friendly. I ordered the iced cloud capp, which was expensive, but tasted great!

I don't know how y'all feel about tipping at a coffee shop, but I get so conflicted. Especially since I just order a cold brew. I could easily go back there and pour that myself. What's that Dwight Schrute quote? At my local coffee shop, I always tip but those are my people and they show love, you know? Anyways, I walked into the PACKED Elk on a Saturday, ordered my $6 cold brew and they flipped the little Ipad around and showed 20%, 25%, and 30% tip options. Like yo what, I'm already paying $6 for this cold brew. I didn't tip this time, because that just felt out of pocket. I got my cold brew and sat outside as they have ample outdoor seating. It's kinda sceney here, I felt like I was in LA. A lot of beautiful people, most of them came for the breakfast burrito that everyone raves about. I need to get back and try it but I was on a full belly as I had just DOMED a Black Seed Bagels BEC. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

The breakfast burrito was pretty good. Nothing that blew me away, if I lived by it I would probably go often but not somewhere I'd go out of my way for. The store itself was nicely curated and had a lot of unique goods to purchase! I can not emphasize how cute this place was and the vibes were awesome! Some fun seating outside as well!

Matcha was terrible, not strong at all the only good thing about it was the foam. Service was terrible, the girl had a nasty attitude. The guys at the bar was pretty chill but the drink was very overpriced I paid $10 for this. Overall 2/10 you can find way better matcha

The Cinn-Full iced latte with Cloud was delicious and lighter than I expected. Highly recommend!

sorry yall but this place is not good; the customer service was odd, it felt off. the drinks are pretty, but they taste like water. we ordered 2 cold capps (a house special) and both were so disappointing. drank them only because they were so expensive. the store inside is cute and air conditioned, cute place to pop into.

This pretty cute coffee shop is one to stop into if you like the vibe of cuteness/ cozy places. They have some outdoor seating as well. I wanted a decaf latte but they had no decaf. Not sure if they were out of it or they didn't carry decaf at all. So I settled on getting a Cappuccino. Price was sort of steep for such a small drink. To me the taste of it was a bit on the bitter side. The atmosphere which I said earlier was cute and the staff were nice. Not sure I would go out of my way to come back here though.

Cute coffee shop that also sells a small range of items such as lotions, candles and also packaged salads and sandwiches. I tried one of their seasonal drinks; the cinn-full latte iced which has cinnamon and honey. It was delicious! Perfectly sweet and great espresso. Service was quick and easy, the employees are welcoming. There is a small space for two people to sit by the window but this is more of a grab and go spot.

I stumbled upon this location of the elk while walking around. It's a tiny little storefront with a small area for people to stand at (and people watch) along with some tables to sit at outside (when not raining). They have a good selection of coffee and tea to choose from, along with more savory items and pastries. The service was friendly and quick. They also have a cute area of goods to buy (including candles, hoodies, totes and body care). I'd recommend coming here if in the area and wanting a place to grab a drink or a small bite.

1/1 Ambience; 1.5/2 Food + Beverages; 1/1 Service; 0.5/1 Value At first glance, the Elk is a seemingly tiny coffee shop with a cute atmosphere complete with exposed brick walls and limited outdoor patio seating with generic yellow fold up chairs and tables. It would make for a nice place to people watch over coffee in nice weather, but for inclement weather or study sessions, they actually have a beautiful and cozy sitting area next door. They have a gender-neutral restroom and plenty of outlets for long study sessions. I spent several hours here during one of my study sessions, and the space was quiet and not busy at all-- at most there were 2-3 patrons inside at any given time. I had a 16 oz. maple latte with regular milk from the seasonal menu, and while it was good quality, strong coffee, I could not at all taste the actual maple flavor. It cost $7.50, so it definitely felt steep for a flavored coffee that did not taste so different from a regular latte. The service was speedy and friendly. I opted to physically go between the sitting area and the cafe (there is no internal connection between the two), there are QR codes in the sitting area through which patrons can order and the baristas will bring the coffee to the table. Overall, the Elk is a small coffee shop nestled in SoHo serving up some good coffee and good vibes in a cozy atmosphere that lends itself to chill coffee dates or study dates equally well. While the prices are steep, the atmosphere in an otherwise touristy area compensates for it. It's worth checking out for sure, and one that I could frequent in the future.

Wow amazing! Really good cold brew ($5.25) and also a super strong curated product selection. I can tell the owner has a very strong individual aesthetic. A lot of skincare products I would buy as well as super on point snacks. Interesting though I heard a lot of people order the "iced green tea". Milk is poured behind the scenes, but simple syrup is self serve. They also have a decent pastry and food menu as well. I believe the worker told me the pastries are from a local bakery.

The melon pieces were sweet, the ice is milk based so it was creamy and flavorful on its own. We barely used the condensed milk that it came with (and we loved how they put it on the side for us instead). At the bottom of the shaved ice was cereal pieces and mochi which gave a nice different texture. We also tried their drinks specifically their blue lemonade and mango-ade which I thought was just ok. The highlight is definitely their shaved ice. Definitely go for the large as the small seemed much smaller and for double the price, you can get almost 2-3x more.
