Hair Parris is a great family owned business in Falls Church right next to the original Taco Bamba. A neighboring restaurant is currently covering their entrance and parking spots with a straw like curtain, but Hair Parris is indeed OPEN for business. Both owners are super kind and have received both doses of their COVID shots. For now, visitors must wear a mask and for the safety of customers, both owners also wear their masks. Our entire family has been going to Hair Parris for years and we highly recommend their hair services. Both owners are very nice, personable and are in need of your support. Hair Parris is NOT backed by some large chain company, but just two people (husband and wife owners) trying to keep their little business alive during these tough times. My most recent visit was yesterday where Ms Anna gave me my first haircut in over a year. The entire time I was relaxed and felt safe knowing that both owners were fully vaccinated against COVID. I left happy with a great haircut as did my two sons. If you're in the Tysons Corner/Falls Church area, I highly encourage you to visit Hair Parris. They're a wonderful husband and wife team that will give you a wonderful haircut or will style your hair for a super reasonable price. This is not a review of Mateo's but of Hair Paris. Anna was a perfect stylist She always did an excellent job. I have seen her for years. Last time I saw her in July. She was different. She did an excellent job but something was bothering her. She did not say anything when I asked what was going on only that her husband's father had passed away. We agreed that I would come back in three months. I tried to make an appointment today but it was not Hair Paris anymore. The salon had a new name. Mateo's Beauty and Barber shop. Anna is not there anymore nor is her husband. I do not know what happened and if they have gone back to Korea. I believe that it is incredibly unfair to transfer the 5 star reviews to Mateo's. The reviews were for Anna's Hair Paris. I called Mateo's today and asked them what happened to Anna and they were very unfriendly and did not know anything. So when you go there, do NOT expect ANNA to be there for you - she is gone. read more

The place was very clean and brightly lit. The owner is very friendly. She told me all about how she has been cutting hair for over 30 years in Korea, New York and now in this area. I could tell she's very good at what she does. I wouldn't have noticed this place if it wasn't for Taco Bamba next doors. I definitely recommend this place if you need a quick haircut. When you're new to the area, it's hard to find new places you can trust and regularly go to. Hair Parris is certainly a hidden gem - $15 for a men's cut with very accomodating hours, located next to Taco Bamba. Each time I've been back, they have cut it exactly how I want it (my SO always approves!) - they are all very kind and take care of their customers. I agree with the positive reviews here - definitely give them a shot, it's certainly worth it. For your first time, try calling and seeing when Anna is in, she'll take great care of you. read more

Reading the other reviews I'm gonna reserve a bit of judgement. I'm a Marine and needed a haircut quick and I saw this place after visiting taco bamba (best tacos in VA by the way) so I gave it a shot because the $15 men's cut was attractive. I asked the older Korean lady for a medium skin fade, had a couple picture examples and even with that I basically had to tell her how to do a skin fade. She kept ignoring my requests and I walked out looking like a bozo with a boot camp high and tight that was barely faded correctly. She was still very friendly and did at least try to keep fixing it but a fade is a simple hair cut, I do other Marines fades all the time with no problems, and I expect any stylist to know the basics of one. I tipped her $5 anyway for the time. Like I said, everyone else seems to love this place so my only advice is don't go here if you want a skin fade or any type of fade for that matter. read more

$15 for an adult cut. Very good cut. Seemed to really understand how your hair lays and cut it appropriately. Very satisfied.

Anna initially cut my husband's hair and when she did such a great job both of our millennial sons began getting their hair cut by her. My sons toggle from short to long styles but each style has been very well done by Anna. I just recently began going to Anna when I could not get to my usual salon in DC and she did a very nice job cutting my hair at a very reasonable price. I had seen her do color on another client which was beautiful so I finally had her do high/low lights for me and was not disappointed. Also, her price is very reasonable compared to other salons. The salon itself does not have the glitz of others in the area, but I go for quality and you get that with Anna. read more
