I have been coming here for 7 years and I hate to leave such a low review, but after my most recent experience I have no choice. I have been in a lot of pain so much so that I couldn't sleep and I needed to come in, but I am a stay at home mom and have a three year old who isn't in preschool yet. I told them that the only way I could come in would be if they let me bring my son, they agreed and I scheduled an appointment. The second my son and I walk through the door the woman at the front desk said I would have to reschedule and he couldn't come in with me, I told her that he would be coming in with and and it had been approved the previous day. She said nothing else, but I noticed her and the other woman behind the desk watching my son closely as he played quietly. Then they called me back, I need to note here that my son has Sensory processing disorder and sometimes if he is in a new environment and it suddenly changes he panics. When we went back he started screaming, I tried to calm him down and told the nurse that he would be ok if we could get back to a room and i could set him up with a video. The minute we got into the room a woman who was in charge came in and told me that we need to reschedule and my son and I needed to leave. I said no I was in so much pain and already there I wasn't about to leave. She snapped at me telling me they weren't a babysitting service and that his cry was disturbing the other patients and she needed to think about them(most of the women there are going to have babies, if a kid crying from a few rooms away disturbs them then they will have trouble down the road.) At this point my son was completely calm again and in my arms having juice, but even though he was calm this woman still argued with me telling us to get out and how having my kid there was unfair to the staff. I refused to leave and said I just needed to set him up in the corner with a video and she began snapping at me again saying how I needed to do that now and stop holding him. I'm sorry but I have to say something here as a sidenote, HOW DARE YOU, I am in a massive amount of pain and my son cried for no more then 5 minutes, How dare you snap and me and tell me what to do with my own child when I already had it handled, you belittled me, my son has a difficult time as it is having a disorder that he did not choose, Which I told you about, but you didn't want to bother hearing it. I should be allowed basic medical care even if I have to bring my kid, but you wanted me to wait over a week until I could return and you were just going to let me be in pain and you didn't care at all. After all this the doctor came back to see me, she rushed me through my entire appointment she told me I had a bacterial infection and then she said it was my own fault(which it is not) and said that I was overreacting about how much pain I was in and basically I just needed to suck it up and refused to answer my questions telling me that she needed to get me out of there, this entire time my son was quietly watching a video and bothering no one. Before we left I asked the doctor why the infection I had kept coming back, she told me she didn't have time to deal with that and we needed to leave, we were then almost literally pushed out the door. OK, FINE, you want me gone, well I'm gone forever now I'm leaving and I will be telling everyone about what happened here. YOU GUYS DELIVER BABIES BUT YOU COULDN:T STAND HAVNIG ONE KID IN YOUR OFFICE WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? Also I felt from the second that we walked in that you guys were just waiting for an excuse to kick us out. I have been having problems with this office for years, but this was the last straw, please don't come here, especially if your in a situation where you might have to bring one of your kids. read more

I have been coming here since my first pregnancy 10 years ago and I will continue to use them for all my female needs. The staff is corteous, caring, and make me feel comfortable. The wait time from the moment you get to the front desk to the moment you get to see your doctor is minimal. Doctor Davis is really nice. I love the new location also, is more spacious. With my last pregnancy I went to 3 different practices and never found one I liked or seemed comfortable with. With my most recent pregnancy I found Maternal Gynerations after yet a fourth ob failed to diagnose a missed miscarriage that ultimately ended in D&C with Dr Doris. I have now found myself again pregnant and feel highly blessed that I found Dr. Doris. I love this practice. They let me see him every appt and they handle high risk so I don't have to see the Maternal Fetal Specialist as often. They do dating scans at your first ob appt regardless if your high risk or not. I've never waited more than 10 minutes for my regular appts. I really wished they delivered at Eastside because I hate GMC but it's worth dealing with them to be at MG. read more

Going here was the best decision for my pregnancy. Dr. Rebecca Williams is a ball of enegergy that is so easy to talk to about my concerns. She made me feel.comfortable and less stressed about my delivery. A different doctor performed my C Section and he did a great job. I would recommend this place to my girl friends. read more

I've been going here for about 7 years and see Ashley once a year for my annual. She is great!!! The nurses are nice, professional and friendly. The office space is nice and clean. The ladies at the front desk are pleasant. Overall good experiences here but I'm only going once a year and have no issues. The only thing that I dislike is the phone system. It could take 10-12 minutes just to get someone on the phone and don't bother calling after 4. read more

Dr. Dart delivered my grandson on May 10, 2019. She was amazing to my daughter. This was her first child and with Dr. dart's help her delivery went amazing, an no problems. She explained everything that was happening and what to expect to my daughter. I was in the delivery room and I am so grateful for Dr. Dart and the care that she gave my daughter. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Kim for several years and I like him a lot but the office staff has always been rude and unaccommodating. The straw that broke the camels back for me was when I called to make a First-time appointment for my minor child and I was told that I could not accompany her even into the building or the waiting room. I was told to not even come. Ummm excuse me? My child is a MINOR and it is illegal to deny a parent the right to accompany their child to a doctors appointment. I know its due to COVID, however, I have been able to go with my children to all of their doctors appointments since the pandemic started and I'm fully vaccinated. Let me start out by saying the nurses and staff are all wonderful, and I never have to wait very long to be seen. However, I haven't had the best experience with Dr. Dark. She doesn't like when you ask questions, or try to differ from their perspectives. She'll look at you like you grew three heads if you offer her your own medical research knowledge, (I may not be an OB, but I do an abundance of research and read actual medical publications for my leisure time) and say that you're wrong. When asked if she had ever researched it, she wouldn't respond. The last time this happened, I took all of my medical research information to a specialist and he informed me that yes, I was correct in everything I was saying, and she shouldn't speak to that subject if she doesn't research it herself. The next visit I had with her, she put the Doppler on my stomach to get the baby's heartbeat, and after 5 seconds, said "oh I can't find it, he's moving too much." and left without further attempts. If I was any other mother, I would've been freaking out to her response. Who does that to a new mom?! And this was an appointment made after I had made it clear that I was previously in a car wreck a few days beforehand. Needless to say, even though I liked the rest of the staff, I didn't like the doctors enough to stay with this practice, and will be transferring to Dr Pohl's office at Gwinnett Medical for the rest of my pregnancy. read more

Find another doctor and don't waste your time! I was a new patient and called to simply reschedule my first appointment. They put me on hold for an unreasonable amount of time, then the woman I spoke to acted like I was the biggest hassle and inconvenience for her and by the end of the conversation, she rudely hung up on me, without even saying goodbye. Their office staff is rude and unprofessional. I keep seeing reviews about the office staff being the issue here. They need to get some nicer staff. I am disappointed with the service at this medical practice. To begin with there is no patient/doctor relationship that is established at the appointments. They literally schedule you a time block of 5 minutes for your obgyn checks. I understand not a lot goes into these checks but when it is this kind of practice I believe there should be a little more time taken with us. You will be the one delivering our child. I would like to have some sort of connection with my provider instead of it being an "in and out", rushed appointment every time I go. It also takes days to get someone on the phone. They do not return phone calls in a timely manner. I filled out a medical release form in person a week ago and the lady told me it had just been faxed over to my new ob. I called my new ob to make my first appointment and they said they hadn't received it yet from maternal generations. It took me two days to get someone from this office on the phone and when they finally answered my call they stated that the record had just been sent over a week after I filled out the form. Don't lie to your patients. I would also like to point out how unsanitary and non confidential their system of urine sample collection is. At every appointment you are asked to leave a sample and go to the restroom when you arrive. I have seen other patients urine sample cup in the window when I went to place mine in there. That is a violation of HIPAA. It is also gross. The label on the urine cup has the patients name and DOB as well as the doctor they see. That information should be kept private. This office really needs to hold some sort of customer service training for the employees. There comes a point when a practice is more focused on the quantity of patients they see instead of the quality of care they give. When your practice grows without proper training and number of employees you lose the sense of connection with your patients which then leads to reviews like this. I would also like to inform those of you seeking out an obgyn that this practice will not allow your partner or anyone else to your appointments other than the 2 ultrasounds you are originally allotted. They are not even allowed to sit in the waiting room. Yes this is their decision as a business. That is fine, although I wish I had known this before I began coming here. read more

NO NO NO. Had a hellish experience. Showed up on time, waited nearly 30 minutes to be taken to the back, then after being in the room for another 30 (in just a hospital gown, mind you), I poke my head out and, turns out, my doctor left to go deliver a baby and no one told me! Two and a half hours after I arrived, I was finally through. Never going back. I am in love with Maternal Gynerations! Everyone is EXTREMELY nice and always helpful. My primary doctor is Dr. Renwick Hood. I adore him! I never felt comfortable with male doctors going "down there" until someone referred me and suggested that I really should give him a try. Boy am I glad I did. I will forever come here. He is always available when you need him. He delivered my last child and will be delivering this one as well. He has children of his own so he totally understands what you are going through. The staff is amazing and everyone there does their best to make you feel comfortable and at home. Everyone is super gentle from the nurses who draw your blood to the ultrasound techs. I will never go anywhere else I have found my home here. When they found out I hadn't eaten, they quickly went to find me a Sprite and some peanut butter crackers. read more

The doctors I have seen are good, and that is why I have remained a customer of theirs for so long. However, I have experienced many issues with the administration. They claim to have "lost" my files once. I've had multiple experiences where I was told I would receive a call-back from a nurse and yet it never happened. Most recently this was the case when I was dealing with an issue severe enough to be seen in a hospital. I've been left to wait for almost an hour with no update on why, then when I step out to ask, I've been treated with attitudes coming across as being "bothered". I've also been over-billed twice and have had to jump through hoops to prove it (hold on to all your records and receipts!!!) It is truly a shame because the doctors, PAs and midwife are so very good - administration is terrible and has made me want to seek out other care. read more

I was referred to by one of my friends. I had problems with not being comfortable and not knowing what to do at the ob in Stone Mountain with my first child. Now I am pregnant with secondbaby, and when I came here, they immediately set me up with appointments with no complication and told me everything I needed to know. They were very friendly, especially towards my first son. Most places are annoyed with children running around. Everyone does a good job of making you feel comfortable. I usually never have to wait. I sign my name, sit down for five mins and they're ready for me. I'm so happy my friend recommended me. read more

Dr Andrew Doris is not to be recommended for gynecologist exams. Rude, and consistently interrupted my attempt at explaining my menopausal symptoms to him. Communication at this office is great! The only Dr. office that has had consistent reminders via postcard, phone calls, and emails. I went to the Hamilton Mill location off of Teron Terrace Rd. It's a very clean and inviting office. They have a logo on their door which helps out a lot because all of the buildings and offices look exactly the same. Gennie is a friendly face to be greeted with and was very nice. They were really fast to get me back, almost as fast as I filled out my paperwork. I met with Ashley. I'm sure she takes notes of her patients--but I have seen her twice now and she is always easy to talk to, remembered me, and makes you feel comfortable. Overall this is definitely a place I would recommend to anyone looking for a Dr. office for their annual check up. My sister and mother referred me here as they both have used these doctors for several pregnancies and gynecological health. read more

I love that she sat down with me eye to eye to discuss my situation. I was out in a good time. And they called me I didn't have to go hunting for my results. Can never get a call back or live person. I left messages about billing and rescheduling that were not returned. I explained to office staff that my identity was stolen and insurance was comprimised. I could not afford the out of pocket visits and I let them know this the first call. The nurse said she understood. When I called back to finally schedule an appointment after cleaeing my insurance issue, there were no notes of this in my file nor a note that said I was high risk. So, when I called about contractions, I was transferred twice and left on hold for over 45 minutes so someone can figure out who I was. They called me back again to ask why I was absent after I already explained twice. Brittany, the office manager has no respect or qualifications for customer service. The nurse basically called me a liar about the whole situation because she didnt write the notes in my file like she was supposed to and Brittany defended her without even hearing about the insurance situation or the way I was addressed during call. They then informed me that I was dropped by the office after I called. They never sent the notice until I CALLED THEM! This further solidifies that they had no noted is my file. I cursed her and the nurse out for being incompetent and unorganized. This office is a complete joke. Unless you have a normal pregnancy and deep pockets, I would not go to this OB AT ALL! Any sign of complication and they do not know how to handle it with care or compassion. I called back to try to arrange something else but, of course, no call returned! They should understand that pregnant people have short patience and should be treated with care. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS AT ALL! I can not believe the service I received here. I have been going to Maternal Generations for about 4 years, and never had a problem. The staff was always less that welcoming, but for the most part pretend to be polite. When I just went in for my yearly visits that was okay. However, I had some scary things happen and when I called to get an appointment I spoke with a nurse who basically told me that I didn't need to worry about anything and could come in in two weeks. When the pain and issues continued for two more days, I called again to set up an appointment and the receptionist I talked to made me feel like my life didn't matter. Let me say I have never felt more like a worthless piece of dirt before. They made me feel, in this time of need, that my life or health, did not matter to them in the least. I was very upset and sent an email thinking that maybe I just didn't let them know the severity of my situation. So, instead of apologizing and trying to help me, the nurse called me back and said that I didn't mention how bad the pain was and basically called me a liar, and was so unprofessional that I was in disbelief. Working in the customer service field myself, maybe I just expect a higher level, but I wouldn't have talked to a dog the way, not one, but TWO of their employees talked to me. read more

Where to begin? Went to Dr. Watkins for my checkup and found out a biopsy would be needed... it was then attempted TWICE unsuccessfully, each time leaving me with several days of discomfort. When it was scheduled for the third time, I went for my pre-op and waited for an hour and 15 minutes. You would think that Dr. Watkins would walk in and apologize for my wait, but no... instead, she walked in mad and said something along the lines of "I know you had to wait, but I'm doing my best here!" and slammed down her computer. She then proceeded to tell me that she was not even aware that I was there for a pre-op. This is just one example of the lack of communication between all of the staff members here... Every time I was in the office, they didn't even have my correct insurance information. I went as far as to make a special trip to the office with my insurance card at one point and STILL, on my last visit there, they did not have it in their system. For those reading this, I hope this is helpful. I wish I had read all of the BAD REVIEWS this practice has before going there myself. read more

SO FRUSTRATING. Tried them out in seach of a new GYN, I will NOT be returning 1. THE VISIT (simple PAP only) was not comforting, I felt like just a number, just a body. I saw what I think was PA? not sure, was not told. She had street clothes on, no white jacket which would have been fine if I got the feeling that she was at least informative. Left the office knowing that I would not return, and THANKFUL I was not pregnant and this was my OB that is supposed to be comforting and supportive. 7 months later..... 2. I am STILL trying to resolve BILLING ISSUE with staff from my FEBRUARY appointment. Incompetence...and NO ATTENTION to fixing the problem. EMAILS, FAXES, VOICE MAILS all not enough to clear up their error in billing. AVOID AT ALL COSTS... ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE PREGNANT. Our family will never use these doctors again after this pregnancy. I realize that doctors are busy and these days doctors need to see lots of patients just to break even, but we've never felt like a number more than at this office. My wife, a school teacher, makes appointments well in advance so that she doesn't have to miss class. She's now had appointments canceled on her 3 times and the office staff rudely treats her like it's HER fault when she calls to reschedule. Not to mention that the practice forces women to see all the doctors in the practice over the course of several appointments. Is this a common practice? What ever happened to continuing care? How is seeing a different doctor every appointment considered adequate medical care. She wanted to leave a message for the nurse to ask a question, she was told no. Never again. I was recommended here by a friend and I absolutely loved it! I choose to be seen by their only midwife Jonnie and she was great. She also made sure to be there to deliver my baby instead of letting the doctor on call do it and I really liked that because I felt like she knew me already and I didn't have to have my baby delivered by someone I've never met before. I never had to wait more than 10 minutes to be seen and if I got there 15 minutes early like they ask you to they took me in right away. All the nurses are very friendly and the ultrasound technician are so sweet they made my experience really great when I found out what I was having. I saw the reviews for the bad customer service for the office staff but I honestly never experienced that. I would definitely recommend maternal generations to any mommy to be! read more

Terrible experience. I called and told them I wanted an iud and set up and appointment the day my period started to get it implanted. Then when I got there they said they had not gotten an iud for me and I would have to come back again during my next period, but I would be able to call as soon as it starts and come in that day. That was a lie. I called and they had no open times and I am going to have to wait a whole extra month (THIS MAKES THREE) because these incompetent idiots would rather I make as many hour long drives to their office as possible. Do NOT go here if you want a convenient experience with competent doctors and staff. You have been warned. They are only after your money and wasting your time. This is hands down the most unprofessional doctor's visit I have ever had! I spoke to one of Dr. Dark's medical assistant's to book the appointment. When I arrived, I was greeted by another assistant who began to interview me about my medical condition it front of the people waiting in the lobby. She also advised that they are going to have to redo an exam that I had performed by a specialist only weeks before my appointment. When it was time to see Dr. Dark, I had to wait in the observation room for about 30 minutes, listening to surrounding patients discuss their medical condition because the walls were so thin. Then, I was inform by the medical assistant who scheduled me that there was a conflict with Dr. Dark's schedule and that she will have to ask Dr. Dark if she can adjust her schedule in order to see me. I had to wait in the assistant's office for another 30 minutes while they figure it out. Dr. Dark finally met with me. She never touched me, we only discussed my condition. Months later, her office billed my insurance company for over $1,000 PLUS I owe an additional $333. NEVER AGAIN!!!! read more

I just received a call from Amy K to discuss a issue I was having with one of the office staff. I didn't expect a call back I just was thinking to myself it is what it is but the follow up really made me feel good like they valued my opinion and how I was treated. Doctor's are great! I've seen two (Weiss and Watkins), but the office staff continues to be so rude over the phone. Many times I've told myself to switch practices because they've been so unhelpful. But I love the doctors so much. I've thought to complain to the doctors, but I'm paranoid that they have access to my private files and also can manipulate my future appointments. They engage in bait and switch pricing; you are quoted one price prior to the appointment; another price once you get to the office for your appointment. Everyone you speak with, from billing office to appointment setters tells you something different. Definitely won't be back. The nurse practitioners are very rude. And apparently it is very difficult to get in to see a real doctor. I have zero confidence in what they are telling me. I will go somewhere else and hopefully find a doctor who actually cares about their patients. This office seems very concerned about the fact that recommendations are coming out that you don't need a pap every year now. They seem to be worried about losing business. What a horrible, horrible experience to go through during my first pregnancy. Dr. Watkins is not friendly at all and does not seem to care how her patients feel. I saw her twice during my first pregnancy (she left and went on maternity leave) and waited an hour and a half both times. Needless to say I was upset by the time she came into the room (I'm pregnant and hormonal so I was crying because I was so upset over the wait). First of all, she did not apologize for the wait. She told me that they are "so popular", that they have "so many patients that love them and don't mind waiting and that it's an OB office, so waiting that long is normal and should be expected. She then proceeded to say that if I didn't like it, then I should find somewhere else to go. As this is being said to me, I am already crying because of the wait, haven't said a word to her because if open my mouth, I know I will cry harder. When she said the statement about finding somewhere else to go (I'm 6 1/2 months pregnant) my jaw dropped to the floor and I just shrugged my shoulders because I did not know what to say. She was so immature after that, not asking any questions about how I felt and said "fine, let's just measure the baby then" (sarcastically). I know that if she easily spoke and treated me the way she did (on two different occasions) that she's done it to others. I will say that I saw Dr. Williams and she was very friendly. I actually tried to make an appointment with her after the last visit but was told that because I requested a copy of my records, that I was "not allowed" back there. I have a feeling that Dr. Watkins had something to do with that. I couldn't believe it. One more thing- the ladies at reception are not very friendly either. I really wish you could rate the drs and the office staff separately. At the lawrenceville office the staff is very difficult to deal with if you have any kind of paperwork needed for work.I was on disability and couldn't work and my disability caseworker was so frustrated she had called a few times for me bc we weren't getting anywhere and she didn't want to close my case bc the office wasn't cooperative. Eventually we wore them down and got what we needed..copies of my records (not hard). That was THE most frustrating experience and scary bc they were playing with my income during a really important time.... Dr Hearin was wonderful from the beginning. I had two high risk pregnancies and my first appt he sat me down and discussed those pregnancies and the current one. I appreciated the time he took and allowed me to ask questions without me feeling as if i were a waste of time or that he had better things to do. This was consistent throughout my pregnancy. Yes you have to meet all the doctors which was new for me bc i never used a large practice in the past...my review of all the doctors- They are ALL competent. I am pretty harsh especially with my medical care. Everyone seemed genuine and it was much appreciated. Dr Hood is a riot. But some may need thick skin bc he has no filter. Dr Doris was wonderful . Dr. Dark was a sweetheart. Dr Williams was easy to talk to...as was Dr. Watkins...Dr Hearin retired before my 6 week appt and I never got to thank him. I was disappointed at my 6 week postpartum bc I felt that some of my concerns were brushed off by Ashley. I had to call back to get a referral after she told me i didn't need one, and again I'm dealing with the office staff. I must say at the Hamilton Mill location theres only one lady at the front and she is very efficient and polite. I have no complaints about her whatsoever. Overall I am satisfied with my experience there. read more
