Beware!! Don't ever purchase anything from Mathis Brothers. I purchased a custom made sofa in Nov. 2018 for $2,000 and it came defective. It was POORLY made. For starters, they gave me fabric to choose from and called me three weeks later to tell me that it was discontinued. (They should have called me sooner or not given me the option in the beginning.) I had to drive an hour to go back and re-select another fabric. The sofa was not delivered until March 2019 and looks horrible. I contacted customer service, and they asked me to send photos; which I did (attached.) They have been giving me excuses for two weeks. One week ago, they contacted me and said the manufacturer would pick it up and repair it. I said absolutely NOT! Why should I have a brand custom new sofa repaired? Well, I'm still waiting and they have not responded with an answer with when they will pick it up??? They have called twice telling me that they don't have an answer. This is ridiculous. The customer service person confirmed the issues, but they will not address it correctly. My custom sofa was delivered to me with a slanted and, defective arm rest, holes in the fabric, nails punching through the fabric, two of the legs were installed crooked, the stitching is zig zag on one side and straight on the other!!! I will NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM MATHIS BROTHERS AGAIN!!! It's now almost April and I don't have a custom made sofa free from major defects. My sister told me that people have problems with their furniture because of the quality, but I did not listen. I was wrong. Never again!!! read more

Took her time showing us around and placing our first order. We have gone back 2 more times since and she's always a great help. Well I give a star for quality of furniture. We bought dinning room, buffet, reclining sectional sofa. The dining room table and buffet are great, but are also in a room barely used but once in a while for special occasions. Our sectional, a sofa set by lane, sold at Mathis Brothers has been a lemon of its crop! Within a short time after purchase it had to be returned to store for service. The reclining mechanisms , pull handles continuously break off, the arms of sides lean outward.repair man came out about 5 times, each time concurrently commented on leaning arms, handheld pulls falling off. Each time sectional was removed from our family room, at shop for weeks, returned with new pull handles, and leaning arms. The sixth time in three short years, we were told no further repairs would be made, and we are told our extended purchased warranty is over! Since I bought my Lazy Boy furniture in 2016 I have had Nothing but problems with it,I ended up having 4 service calls and 1 pick up the piece and take it in to the factory to be fixed and it still was not working correctly, all this was such an inconvenience for me. If I could give this place a negative star I would. My sister in law went to go buy a mattress at your location on July 10th, she was accompanied by my daughter and I. We were helped by a gentleman named Fernando. Fernando then took us upstairs to show us the mattresses and had my sister in law lay on multiple mattresses to try them out. Forward to today my daughter and my sister in law are infested with lice!!! I am so upset because now we have to pay money to get the lice removed from how bad they have it!!!! I was excited to get a new king size bedroom set at Mathis bros. and I did purchase one in July/August 2021 when it was delivered I realized the features it had the light switches the usb, things the sales person at Mathis should've told me about, anyways my husband and I kept hitting our knees on the corner of the bed walking around it, I realized our king size mattress was to small for the bed frame I notified customer service about the large frame thinking they would deliver a king size bed frame instead they just moved the side boards inward not happy but I am stuck now. And now we've had a squeaky loud noise getting in and out of bed I called customer service again they sent a technician he nailed in the bunky board thinking this was going to take care of the loud squeaky noise, its still there as a matter of fact it sounds louder I called CS asked if they could send the technician one last time to turn the side rails around as the last technician said could be done to put a box spring which we threw out when we purchased this bed set, Now our mattress is ruined and our backs have been aching, our mattress and box spring were fairly new about 2 1/2 years old when we purchased the bed set now we're going to have to purchase another mattress and box spring again when we were fine with it before getting this bunky board, so now CS told me they can't help us. This is the store I was so excited to get a bedroom set. I also thought I was going to purchase a living room set this year but this has definitely changed. read more

Love the store and people were nice but once we got our couch, it broke within the first month, we have been calling to have someone come and take a look at it, and no one calls us back. Bought a mattress 4 years ago. It's sagging where we sleep. It has a warranty for 25 years. It's at the cut off line for sagging but they won't take it back. We can no longer use it since we can't sleep longer than an hour without our backs killing us. $2,000 plus mattress that only last 4 years. What a joke. Update- I submitted my claim again since the owner said they would help and look into my issue. Sent in the info..... still no response. Sent a follow up email to customer service... no response. I bought a sofa and loveseat from this store. To my disappointment, store doesn't want to deliver my stuff in a timely manner. No one calls to update the status of the order. I have called multiple times and spoken to the manager as well, but all in vain . Customer Service really needs a lot of work and improvement. The manager is very arrogant and not apologetic, doesn't own any mistakes or mess ups rather tries to defend saying it's normal for delays to happen. We purchased 2 Lane recliners a couple of years ago. They have not lasted one bit. The padding in the seats have buckled, the fabric tore on the underside and the arm seam has come apart. We also bought the furniture protection plan, which was a waste of money. The plan will not pay for any of the repairs because they said that it was purchased over a year ago, they are correct. Mathis brothers also said that they could not do anything. So I would not recommend buying Lane recliners or purchasing the protection plan. Expensive furniture should last more than a couple of years. read more

The worst buying experience of my life. Vulture sales people dressing in sheep's clothing. Selling me crap I don't need and lying about what they do have only to up charge me. I had a terrible experience at living spaces so I go to Mathis the next day. Boy that was a mistake. Revived damaged Big Lots furniture only to be told that it's my fault for not watching the loafers load it in my truck. Days went on before any intelligent being from their " customer service" would listen. Finally, so One did, sets up an exchange for the undamaged goods to my house. Driver and food show up and he simply wants to throw some " screws" on the bed. Mind you, it's a three year olds bed. Fighting with the ding bat on the other line to stop the driver and deliver the good stuff. A broken promise of a discount which in ever received and I could of gone for a a simple apology. We spent almost 8k here and have been given the run around about our furniture MULTIPLE times, given the WRONG RAILS for our bed and when we adressed it to Carlos our salesmen he said we "agreed to it" when I spoke to his manager all he did was back him up. Then we tried to return something they only credited us $100 on a $334 item because they put the credit some where else. Then we delt with some RUDE RUDE A** BROADS over the phone from their corporate office. Disrespectful and LAZY broads. Another update from today. I spoke with Tanesha in their customer service department and she was able to promptly resolve the issue for me regarding the sofa! I'm beyond pleased with the service I received from her. Bump my stars to 3 because of her. I purchased my dining room table and a sofa in February 2016. I purchased the protection plan on both items. I had issues with our table, which was taken care of. My sofa started balling up where you sit and I was told by the protection plan tech that came to my house that I would receive new covers for it because he had never seen that happen after only a few months. I never heard back from anyone. I have called twice and still not received and information other than someone will call me back. The first gal said it sounded like a defective product she would see what they could do about it. Still waiting and for this reason I will not return there for our current purchases. Poor business as we are purchasing new furniture for our whole house. I just wanted to update this. I received a response to my initial post asking me to email somebody and they would get right back to me in order to resolve the issue. No one has gotten back to me and I have sent the email ages ago. I am so completely dissatisfied with the service, with the lies I was told when I was in store about the ease of use of the insurance process. I also plan on reaching out to the Better Business Bureau regarding this issue as I have proof that they never responded back to me and I also have all the proof from when I initially sent the emails regarding the sofa. read more

We have had several different salespeople, but Rayya Morcos has been our salesperson for the last four major purchases and she has been phenomenal!! She is extremely knowledgeable about the products, design, styles and how all colors & fabrics work. She is a walking design encyclopedia! She is always available for any questions we have or product inquiries. Everything that we have purchased has been at the price advertised and if there have been any incentives or discounts, she has applied them. Went Saturday to purchase our bedroom set, found one we loved and was informed it would be delivered Tuesday between 12:45 and 2:45pm received a text they would be here at 12:10 pm. I missed the call cause I was outside waiting for them I go back in to grab my phone and call them back no answer tried several times no answer 45 minutes later get a call back stating they couldn't find parking. So they just left to the other job there's ample parking in my community not once did they leave a voicemail nor ring my door bell. Contacted Mathis brothers and was informed they'd resolve the issue none the less they didn't they offered me a refund on the shipping "80.00 dollars " my whole day was wasted and the last time I deal with them the best they could do was try and have it delivered the following week. read more

EPIC FAIL!!!!!! Don't waste your hard earned money and precious time with this furniture company!!!!! Visited this store on OCTOBER 28th 2018.... DONTE M was eager to assist! We knew what we wanted cause we looked online! Saw our bed-set in the store, proceeded with ordering. Donte PROMISED that we would get our delivery on NOV 4th! Against my better judgment, I accepted HIS PROMISE!!!!! Called on the 4th to make sure we were still on schedule to receive our merchandise...... The warehouse guy (EUGENE) tells us that he DOES NOT have an order for us!!! W T H ? I call Donte and he stutters saying that our order WAS NOT IN STOCK and was delayed! WE WERE NEVER INFORMED ABOUT A DELAY! He again assured us that he would find out what was going on and would give us a call! WE NEVER HEARD BACK FROM HIM!!! I called and asked to speak to HIS MANAGER!!!! Spoke to SCOTT! He gave me a song and dance as to why we were NOT told that our bedroom set was not in stock at the time of purchase, gave me his direct number to call going forward. Texted SCOTT trying to get info and was told that a $70 delivery refund would suffice for our troubles! Time goes on. Texted and called Scott and was FINALLY told that our bed would arrive " in store" on NOV 15th and would deliver on the 17th from 4-9pm. Texted SCOTT to confirm and NO RESPONSE! Had to go back to the store to see what was really going on( we don't live close), saw Scott and was then told that we were STILL NOT on their delivery schedule for the 17th!! AGAIN, no one called and told us that the 2nd delivery date was not going to happen! WHAT A NIGHTMARE! After I insisted and had to put my foot down, we Finally received our purchase on NOV 18th at 9pm!! What a MESS!!! We should have been told AT THE VERY BEGINNING that our bedroom set was OUT OF STOCK!!! Donte lied to us to get a sale!! What a SCAM!! My worst experience, the rude sale staff who basically told me to cancel the order if you don't like us. I had paid for the sofa/loveseat a month back and still waiting for the item. First, they sent us a damaged packaging item and the sofa was dirty. I asked for the exchange and 3 weeks later they sent an open box item, when I talked to customer service they asked me to talk to salespeople. The supervisor Josh said this is not our problem, talk to the service, our job is to sell, and if you do not like then cancel the order. Now they reschedule a delivery five days later. No sense of urgency to fulfill this order. Another issue was I paid for membership which qualifies you for free delivery and assembly, but they left it at the door.
