My daughters (SISTERS AGED 7& 8) have been going to Matrix Gym for almost a year now. This gym is wonderful! They always have a lot of fun in class! Rosemary and the coaches are so sweet and accommodating. After seeing a review that is completely false, I had to write a Truthful review. My daughters were bullied by an older girl who was about 11 or 12 at the time and I made sure to inform the coaches and owners and they were extremely helpful. They do not ignore any gymnast or parents! What they will do is be honest and if your child is a bully they will inform you! My daughters are very strong and continued to ignore this child although she encouraged other team mates to exclude my daughters and be mean to my daughters. Matrix staff handled the situation with care and love. They spoke with all the girls involved and the parents. I am extremely pleased with how the staff takes care of issues with gymnasts. The gym is kept very clean and is nice and spacious. Even after the covid hiatus the gym is in tip top shape and my girls have been super excited to return! We are also definitely glad that the girl is gone !! Thanks Matrix for being awesome!

The idea is fantastic. A kids' playland where adults can relax, kids can run around, and everyone can feel like they're part of the fun. That's exactly what I wanted for my niece's birthday. I showed up forty-five minutes early to set up balloons, thinking I'd get a head start. Instead, I got a front-row seat to confusion. They made me wait outside while they "cleaned." The space was empty. Random strangers were walking up to the door wondering if the business was even open. Spoiler: if your Yelp reviews mention poor communication, believe them. Once inside, I put up a backdrop on their blue wall. Nobody said a word to me about not using tape until after it was already up. If I had been told from the start not to use tape, I simply would not have done it. Instead, I got a lecture after the fact. The owner swooped in to tell me not to put too much tape because it might peel the paint. At first I thought he was just nitpicking, but when I saw their paint job up close it made sense. It looked like one thin coat slapped on without primer, so fragile it basically comes off if you breathe on it. That's not on me, that's on them. The party itself should have been fun, and for a moment it was. But you could feel the staff breathing down your neck. Every move, every decoration, every popped balloon came with side-eye. I didn't even have to say anything because my sister-in-law's mom leaned over at the end and said, "They're on us like hawks." Imagine paying more than $3,500 and feeling micromanaged instead of celebrated. Then came the paint incident. When I pulled down the backdrop, a small patch of that already sad wall came off. Instead of shrugging and thinking, "Maybe we should repaint properly," the owner went full Sherlock Holmes. He whipped out his phone, showed me video evidence of the paint peeling, and acted like I'd just defaced priceless artwork. Sir, this is not the Getty Museum. This is a kids' ball pit in Porter Ranch. Calm down. To make it worse, they assumed I was a vendor. Because clearly, when you're a doctor spending your weekend decorating for your niece, you must also be running a side hustle. My sister-in-law was even pulled aside in the middle of the party and told there was a vendor fee for the balloons. A vendor fee. For me. The family member. Not a business. Not making money. Just celebrating. It was insulting and flat-out greedy. And then the absolute cherry on top: the broom incident. Balloons popped, confetti on the ground, the cleaning crew was already standing there ready to do their jobs. The owner walks over and hands me a broom like I was suddenly part of the staff. Excuse me? We had already spent over $3,500. Cleaning was part of the package. His workers were right there, but apparently humiliating me was more important. By that point, my whole family was involved. My brother, my dad, my uncles. It turned into a heated argument that went on for ten minutes during a child's birthday party. I told his wife point blank, "Control your husband and treat us with respect." But respect isn't in their vocabulary. What they do know is finger-pointing, nickel-and-diming, and acting like every customer is an inconvenience. What makes it worse is that it wasn't miscommunication. It was intentional. They weren't clueless, they were combative. They weren't confused, they were condescending. We had just dropped thousands of dollars and instead of gratitude, we got hostility. Instead of a "thank you," we got broom duty and video lectures about peeling paint. To anyone considering this place, be warned. The concept is good, but the execution is abysmal. The owners hover, nitpick, and treat guests like unwanted tenants. They'll find a way to make you feel like the bad guy at your own event. The only thing magical about Kids Fantasy Land is how quickly they can ruin the fantasy. Yes, we had fun because we're a strong family and we made the best of it. Kids had smiles, adults had cake, and we got our pictures before the drama hit. But make no mistake: I will never step foot in this place again. A party should end with thank-yous and hugs, not shouting matches and broom handles. If you value respect, do yourself a favor and celebrate somewhere else.

Nat also did a great job keeping the space tidy and ready for the next kid, which made the whole experience feel calm and well run. We received so many compliments from other parents.
