It has been a spectacular experience for us thus far at Tumble Tykes. We are always warmly welcomed, classes begin on time and the coaches are hands on/engaged throughout the entire experience. We attend Monday sessions with our 5 year old son who truly can't get enough. He counts how many "sleeps" he has until his next gymnastics class. All of the coaches are wonderful but a quick shout specifically to Coach Alexa who is an absolute rockstar! My son is a handful but Coach Alexa is patient, attentive, kind, and encourages him to do the best he can. She motivates him and cheers him on throughout the lesson. He has learned so much in 2 months- not only gymnastics but how to be patient with other students, follow rules, be disciplined, and so much more. Thank you, Tumble Tykes. read more

My toddler is obsessed with Tumble Tykes. We are currently doing the parent and me classes twice a week and plan on leveling him up when he's old enough to do the teacher-only classes (though they have a little viewing area with chairs on the side so you can keep an eye on younger kids). My kids (6 years olds) can't wait for their next class! My son was upset at the end of the class, because it was over! He is counting days and talks about it all the time. First impression, its so colorful and fun looking for kids, it really attracts them. And we went for a few classes already, and each time they use new equipment, and do new cool things. I didn't see the zip line at first! After one class my daughter could do a front flip, and she always shows her cartwheel, but could never do it good, here they practice on the trampoline and she is really enjoying it. Tumble Tykes is the best! Our toddler has been coming here for about half a year and we are very happy as to how attending the classes has affected her: from the environment to staff and the types of exercises, it's been a wonderful experience. For my niece's 3rd birthday I wanted to give her Gymnastic or dance classes .As a previous owner of a gymnastic and dance school back east for 15 years , I know what to expect more than the average person. I did my due diligence in looking around for the right fit. I didn't tell the people I spoke with of who I was or my experience . Well I was more than pleased. I was concerned when I read a negative review prior to going, but my experience was so wildly different. We were met by the owner who was very friendly and knowledgeable .Her teacher was very hands on and friendly . She made my Niece Sabella feel right at home. Being this was her very first experience in an outside setting and with strangers, her mom and I were a bit nervous. However, once the class started, she took off and didn't look back. As a national level coach & gym owner, I think they do an outstanding job. I don't know how people can operate business or work without respect the customers, my son was in a class for one months and very enjoyed, after the change the coach every other week . My son is only 4 years old and it's take time for him to get to know new team, I'm driving my son like 20 min for that place but the had to close down for more then 3 weeks for covid (that's what was on the door sign) I left several massages for some one to call me back to check when it will open again , after about 6 weeks I was notified charge on my card for service that never was received from them and the girl over the phone was very rude and hang up on me , i can't trust people like that to work with my son and is 4 years old if that's the way that you guys work If Ivan give 0 stars that will be the way , as a mother I can't trust this people to work or be around my kids or another kids !!!! read more

Our daughter has been going here for about a month. The class itself is fun, but a few weeks ago, after rearranging our entire work schedule and that of our nanny, we arrived only to find a note on the door saying that the facility was closed to "stop the spread of the Delta variant." No email to parents, no call, no anything. While there, there were at least 3 other families that arrived all of whom had the same frustration. After emailing them, we received a response only a week later. In this email they go on to claim that they sent an email (they didn't - at least not to us and the 3 other families that arrived) and then the best part of all is that they went on to REFUSE TO REFUND the cost of the 2 classes that THEY cancelled. They offered makeup classes at inane mid day times that would be impossible to make. They eventually went on to say that that's their policy on "missed" classes even if they are the ones that cancel it. I then spoke with the owner, Jordan Sedgewick, in order to discuss the matter. He explained that it was actually that the family member of an instructor had contracted COVID. Surprising since we would have had our daughter tested had they informed us of that. He went on to say that he could not refund everyone so was just allowing people to make makeup classes - which is not acceptable to us. The fact that there's been so many steps and pushback on something as simple as refunding classes that THEY cancelled is craziness. Happy to update/delete this review if they would do the correct thing and just refund us for the classes that they cancelled. Update - after this review the owner just sent me the attached email saying that we are being dropped from the class. When asked why they said it was because "they did not appreciate our review". Par for the course on lack of professionalism for this place. Probably the most alarming thing about this whole process is that the owner, Jordan Sedgwick, stated that his immediate family member tested positive for COVID and that was the real reason they had to close. Keep in mind that Jordan teaches classes 3 times a day. At no point was anyone told that their child may have been exposed to COVID 19. You would hope that someone who is a parent, as the owner is, would have the basic common decency to notify parents that their child had been exposed to a deadly disease by him. Overall so disappointed in this place, the owner, and how they operate. read more

In a world of Covid I needed to get my then 3 year old up and out of the house. Coach Jordan, his wife and Foxy their daughter of course have been delights. They have maintained a safe and active environment for my daughter who is now 4. This is a great place for children to interact and get exercise in and start basic gymnastic classes but they do so much more. My daughter looks forward to it every Saturday. And let's talk about how they notice when the children help other children and reward them for it. Thank you guys so much! Emailed them to schedule an appointment for enrollment; lady sets my appt for a Thursday at 6pm, when I emailed to confirm she had changed the appointment to Tuesday. Even tho I said clearly on my email that any day would work but Tuesday. Long story short, they seem extremely disorganized and the response was very unprofessional. Just wanted to express my gratitude for the great experience my 4-year-old son and 2-year-old son had at Tumble Tykes. As a parent, I appreciated that my sons could have classes at the same time, and there was convenient parking in the back. Coach Marissa helped my older son learn to focus and vastly improved his balance and coordination. Coach Hutch was the perfect coach to help my younger son (a pandemic baby) feel comfortable and gain confidence in the gym for his first extracurricular activity. The gym itself is a very cool space with fun wall murals and features (like a rock climbing wall), with a small space for parents/grandparents to sit. This place is amazing!! Coach Jordan, the owner, is terrific. He used to coach my 2 grandsons at the Calabasas location, and they loved him! Tumble Tykes is a clean, safe and fun place to learn all the aspects of gymnastics. The teachers are wonderful, knowledgeable and the kids have a great time in class. My granddaughter goes to the Reseda location and she loves it! Her coach, Coach Hutch, is truly incredible! He's so great with the kids, enjoys what he does, and it shows. He teaches with strength, kindness, playfulness and we think he's terrific! Tried this place out for both my kids. We were really looking forward to it being reviews are so great. Issues started from the moment we walked. The lady who answers the phones is argumentative and for some reason miscommunicates things such as type of classes, the schedule etc. So when we arrived the classes we arruved for were not even happening, ugh. There wasnt a ninja class at all even though on the schedule. Jordan was the only positive honestly as he is a great coach. The other coach my younger one had was a young lady who did not care about the kids form or even that the kids knew what they were doing. It was my daughters 1st time and the lady failed to give her proper instructions which left my 4 year old puzzled and trying to just follow along. I had to ask her twice to explain to my kid what they are doing. She expected her to just know even though it was her 1st time. The coach was not watching the children as they were doing certain movements as well, no encouragement correcrion on form nothing. She seemed like she didnt want to be there honestly. Lastly the HUGE reason we decided against this place is the way they speak to the children. Unacceptable how they yell at the children and have zero patience with them. While my child was not yelled at it was hard to watch multiple kids get aggresively yelled at for small distractions, they are kids. We ended up trying out Matrix Gymnastics in Chatsworth and OMG what a huge differenece. All coaches care and are patient and kind with the kids. Wayyy better environment and structure. The ladys energy at the front desk here is wayyy off and it shows through their entire business. Just wanted to give an honest review of my experience for others. read more

I have to give them 1 stars for the poor service, and customer satisfaction. It is nearly impossible to get a hold of anyone there, business opens at 3, numerous messages on voice mail and email but no reply. If you miss a class, which very likely with kids and siblings, or illness, it's very hard to makeup a class. The gym only allows you to makeup a class on certain days and it's 3pm only. Despite the fact that I shared that I work at this time, and my child is still in school at this time, the office could not accommodate me for another time or day. No flexibility with their schedule, and using Covid as an excuse just not fly anymore. I really wish that the business would appreciate and value their client time, money and dedication to this class a bit more. Very disappointed. read more

My child has been going here for 2 years so I figure I'll just list pros & cons for myself personally, in case this might help anyone. Pros: -they don't force m@sking on the kids even through the pandemic which is a big plus. -the coaches/owners seem to take their jobs seriously & want kids to learn -coach Jordan can handle a whole pack of kids and the kids really seem to enjoy his coaching style -they have all of the equipment (it seems) -my child has learned some beneficial skills & has fun doing it which is the most important reason for going -it's not a super competitive vibe, but more so focused on learning in a fun yet structured way. Cons: -many of the classes seem to have gotten pretty redundant/routine & I don't feel like my kid is doing too many new things...although my guess is she will when she's in an older age group. -I have noticed some coaches make threats to my daughter as well as other children to put them in "time out" if they get too rowdy or don't follow along exactly (NOT OK). I don't put my own kid in time out and this is not part of my family values/discipline so I am actually really not ok with this, and would hope the coaches will know moving forward that they are not the parents & should not be using such tactics on other peoples children....I'm not interested in my daughter being obedient as I am her understanding the importance of learning new skills so next time, defer to parents or use another appropriate strategy to get children to do what you ask of them, not a threat or punishment strategy that is pretty outdated & potentially harmful mentally to a kid (seriously come on...) --I gave great reviews to a friend who brought his daughter in last year, only to be shunned for another family who took their spot ( I am assuming that other family probably offered to pay more or something). I was pretty disappointed after that, but not enough to remove my own child from the class. Just something to be aware of so you know there's red tape there That's about all I can really think for now. Hopefully this helps someone. My kids love their gymnastics class here! I love that my two kids can take different classes at the same time. They have a lot of classes and times aafter school to fit our busy schedule. I am very unpleased by the services at Tumble Tykes. I contacted Jordan (owner) on 1/5/23 at around 10 am for a last-minute birthday for my son on 1/8/23. I let Jordan know that I was unsure about the number of guests but would have between 10-15. I was sent a contract and he advised I just mark the "up to 10" and that we can change it the day of depending on the number of kids participating. I also wanted a slide which I was told would be used the entire time for $50. Since 1/5/23 I tried calling several times, left several messages for Jordan to call so that I can make sure my face painter and food would arrive at an appropriate time. Finally, after two days, Jessica called me. She let me know to have my face painter should arrive at 4 pm and food should be delivered at 430. My time slot was 3-5 and the fees were supposed to include clean up and help with set up. The contract includes two coaches, we had one. Jordan decided to take the kids into the gym with 30 minutes left on the clock for my face painter without communicating with me which caused the kids to not be able to get their faces painted and me having to pay for the painter to stay an extra hour. I had 9-10 guest inside and 4 big kids that used the gym on the side for about 15 minutes (they arrived late) and he charged me $100 extra. Jordan deflated the slide with 30 minutes left of the party and my little guests were so sad and approache me and said why Jordan was being so strict. He also turned off the music with 20 minutes remaining while my guests were having dinner. Given the cold weather, he had told me my guests could eat inside and I invited my 95 year old grandma and some elderly people and the day of he said no one could eat inside. He eventually just let my 95 year old grandma eat. Most of my guests felt rushed which I was not happy about. We left at 515 because we helped Jordan clean up since he was by himself and didn't have a second coach as noted in the contract and he mentioned he had his four kids waiting at home for him so my family and I helped clean up which we did not have to do. He charged me $100 for us staying to help him clean-up which again I am extremely sad about. I contacted Jordan and he said he would refund $100 for the extra time. This did not happen. I enrolled my 2 year old daughter here after finding them on groupon to get her energy out before bedtime since she is very active. I had her signed up at a ballet studio nearby and she wouldn't listen, nor do any of the steps they would teach the kids. After just one class on Wednesday evenings with Jordan, my daughter turned into a new child. She was listening, following direction and getting ALL of her energy out, and sleeping 12 hours straight on the evenings of class!! LIFECHANGER :) You can tell the coach loves kids and treats them just like adults instead of babying them, which I love. His key word when they're out of line is "FOCUS!" and the entire class stops what they're doing, puts their hands together, and listen to the next activity in the class. I now yell "focus!" when we're out and she's not behaving and she does the same exact thing and listens to what I am saying. She's been in the class for over a month now, and has learned in that little amount of time how to behave nicely towards other kids, discipline, and to follow direction from adults. I am beyond thrilled with the results and plan to sign her up for an additional day because it's that good. read more

Chrissy and Jordan and all of the staff are so great with the kids, at every age. My daughter is a little older now and she is learning some amazing skills.
