They were supposed to have 3 movers, one man, the husband of the office lady is a car mechanic and he keep saying that he was not a mover and did not want to be doing moving. They scratched and ruined multiple pieces of furniture. I got estimates for repair. They also hit my mail box and a neighbor said they were laughing and drove away without telling me. The owner agreed to give me a check for $2200. I have called multiple times he hung up on me yesterday, he keeps saying he is so busy. He also said he would send his people to finish a few items of the move, after being told all this for a week, I just hired someone else yesterday for $300. (Now out $2500.) I want my check for $2200 which should now be $2500 and to never hear from them again. They said they are a new company, but unfortunately I would NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.

We left New Hampshire on July 11th. Our homes precious contents in the hands of a moving company, William C Huff Moving. They stored it until we returned to the States on September 24th when they delivered it to our new home in Cape Coral Florida. Both ends (pickup and delivery) went smoothly. The guys showed up when they said they would and did the work. We had over 10,000 pounds of "stuff" that was moved into storage, stored then delivered. Damage was close to nothing (an oil crayon to cover one scratch on the backside of a dresser did the trick). We had 13 estimates when we started this process. Matt wasn't the cheapest but was the lowest of the bidders that I considered capable. His final billing was slightly over what was estimated and he gladly refunded the difference. I would highly recommend Matt and his team for anyone that is considering moving.

The second time the tardiness threw a very big wrench into the gears and I don't remember the excuses but know we ended up having to stay in a hotel because of the delays. What is unique about both instances is being told that there were issues with their bank so they had to have cash for the job. For each occurence the other oddity was not being able to get a reciept for my tax purposes. I saved all the text messages between us in case I faced an audit but it occured to me businesses have the luxury of collecting unreported cash...and that bothers me!!

The only reason we are not giving the 1-star is due to the fact that at least everything made it here, but not necessarily in one piece. Our issue started with 3 days before our move that was planned 3 months in advance with their staff. We received a call asking us to change our move date when we had made plans all focused around the move date that they gave us. They instead came and picked everything up a day earlier than planned (which we agreed to) and instead stuck it all in a warehouse for several days waiting for a driver. They did not provide any status updates and when we called from the road, they passed the buck off to the driver again. When everything arrived, the movers were unable to get our bed up the stairs (we had specifically asked our Peluso mover staff member if it would fit and he had assured us it would). We had to call another moving company to actually get our bed where we wanted it. We have asked Peluso for some kind of restitution for this additional cost and they have ignored us. Boxes that we asked if they were packed properly arrived mangled and some items were damaged. Again, no restitution. If you are moving to/from Naples, FL, we recommend you go with anyone but Peluso Movers. I am removing a star for the response by the owner of Peluso Movers. They refuse to take responsibility for throwing our "packed by owner" boxes (nothing was broken inside of them so clearly they were packed properly) being thrown around given that the pictures speak for themselves. They are not taken any responsibility for the bed issue and requests for discussion with their staff have gone unanswered. Wow... this unfortunate response is the cherry on the top of this mess

We were beyond thrilled with all aspects of our move, from the initial "Guaranteed Not to Exceed"…read moreestimate (the only company of seven to give us something other than an estimate that could go up significantly), to the final move into our storage unit 4 hours away. Jose, Walter and Joel packed out our 3100 sq foot house in just about five hours, and they couldn't have been friendlier, more professional, or more accommodating while they were doing it. We had a color-coded system in place, and they not only picked up on it immediately, they enthusiastically supported it throughout the evolution. We didn't have many requests, but those we did they responded to happily. They were extremely careful with all our belongings, and they left the house in great shape despite the obvious disruption. The next day, Jose, Joel and Gene (Jean?) came to load our HHG into the truck. They were done in exactly two hours! WAY quicker than we would have guessed. We hit Jose with a last-minute request to allow us to affix inventory numbers to all the boxes, and he happily accommodated the request, altering the order of goods going into the truck to allow us time to finish our inventory. Again, the three gentlemen could not have been more professional as they carried out their responsibilities. Jose made sure we had his number and he reviewed the plans for drop off to our storage unit the following day, so there would be no surprises ... which we REALLY appreciated. The unloading process was flawless too. I was active duty military for 33 years, and this is move number 12 for us ... so we've had some experience with this maneuver. This has been the absolute BEST all-around experience with a moving crew that we've had! And this is the FIRST one I'm actually paying for, so that's saying something!  I told Jose several times this has been about as stress-free a move as is possible. If I needed to move again in this area, I wouldn't even get several quotes - Ray the Mover gets it, hands down!
