    Toridashi - RED
    Kenny N.

I was picking a co-worker from the airport and decided to stop in here for a late dinner pick-up with my co-worker. We took it to go and it sat in the car for about an hour before I got to eat it. I ordered the Toridashi - RED and the Yakitori. The ramen was great, like the packaging of it. I love that they know that most of the time this is taken to go since there isn't a lot of outdoor table here at this ghost kitchen location, that they give you instructions on how to re-heat up the food. The broth was rich and flavorful. The noodles were the right chewiness and texture for me. The Chicken Yakitori was tender and flavorful as well. If it wasn't so far from where I lived, I would have gone back multiple times by now. The only bad thing is their ordering system is glitchy. The day I ordered, it wouldn't accept my credit card so I figured we could order at the window but they said it had to be via the website, so I tried again and it worked this time around. Not sure what was going on that night but it took multiple tries to get it working. The wait wasn't too long after finally getting my order in .

Chicken chashu ramen and shrimp shumai

Rich and creamy ramen broth is hard to come by when done right. Here, they have chicken broth done for 20 hrs. It comes out to perfection and I was surprised how good it was. It's located at a walk up windows in the ghostlike kitchen area. You place an order online and they tell you when it's ready for pick up at the window. There seats on the side with tables for outside seating. Overall great food: shrimp shumai, and takoyaki were a great addition.

The food was yummy, the owner has the best smile, and the seasoned egg is excellent. This place's approach is new to me. It's in a building with maybe ten other "restaurants". There is a window for each one. Then you order at that window on line or she'd. They bring your food out to a communal sitting area. While I was prepared mentally for a waiter and sitting to think, the four stars for ramen intrigued me. So I ordered the red ramen spicy with pork and added on a seasoned egg. There are many add ins and if you run amuck your could tally up some expensive ramen. Oh and I added scallion. The own Raz was so kind and even came out to check on my satisfaction. He must have noticed I didn't add on a drink and brought me ice cold water in a cardboard cup. This made me happy because I am trying to avoid plastic. The only bigger winner could have been reliable dishes and they wash them collectively. My dish had three plastic parts. And there is no recyling here. If I was home I would keep them for being food to work! It's quit a system to avoid soggy ramen until you are ready. I image these places thrive on take out. I recommend it and go with another person so you are not alone in the communal area outdoors. I am glad I stayed as the owner of this food stall is friendly, work g hard, smiling big, and making incredibly good ramen!

A co-worker mentioned this place was open and since its super close I darted over. I had the black garlic ramen and it was tasty. The broth is really well balanced. The toppings were generous and the price was on point. I'll definitely be going back and if you're in the area and craving a quick ramen fix on your lunch break you should also. The thing that most impressed me here was how well packaged the ramen was for take out. I grabbed my bag and didn't spill so much as a drop on the bumpy car ride home. I'm usually on the fence about to go Ramen and there's another place in town that I've had to go Ramen from and every time I order there I can never get the noodles unstuck by the time it gets back home, That was totally not a problem here. Kudos Matsuba, you made my lunch very happy!

Ordered to go. The ramen tastes like tap water. Everything else we order was soggy. I paid $100 and received nothing that I found enjoyable to eat

    Takoyaki

Since my favorite Ramen shop in our town in Japan shut down in 2020, I haven't found anything close especially after moving back to Texas. I've tried every Ramen shop in Austin and never had the urge to go back again until I found this one. When I heard it just opened I had to try with, high expectations of course. The Ramen was real and natural and since I didn't get a headache from the soup afterwards, must be top notch natural ingredients. Scarfed down the Ramen before I could take a picture. It was beautiful. I had to also try the beef bowl which is also very authentic and delicious. Meat was high quality as well. With barely enough room to try the takoyaki, I had one piece and it was perfect. Sorry. I'm kicking myself for not taking a photo of the Ramen. Next time. Keep in mind you have to go to window 7 if you want to order in person. You get a text when your food is ready for pickup. The sitting area is an outside patio. Currently the hours open at 5. I don't do door dash, but looks like there is a pickup option for deliveries.

They're a nice little ghost kitchen for to-go ramen. It was flavorful but a bit on the heavier side. I'd come back!

From the very first sip of that rich, creamy broth, I knew this place was something special. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the pork was tender and flavorful, and every bite felt like comfort in a bowl. Honestly, it's the best ramen I've ever had--and it's not even close. What really sets this place apart is the customer service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and truly make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The vibe is awesome--lively, clean, and the kind of place you want to sit, relax, and enjoy every minute of your meal. And whatever you do, don't pass up the Spicy Wings. They are sweet, spicy, and perfectly crispy--cooked just right with that satisfying crunch in every bite. Absolutely delicious and the perfect complement to an already amazing meal. Top-notch service, incredible food, and an unbeatable atmosphere--this place is a must-visit.

Food: My bf and I both shared the chicken karage and then we each order the deluxe tonkatsu, I got the mild and he got the medium. The broth was super rich and creamy! I was really surprised. I really enjoyed the broth and its taste, however, the noodles were alittle clumpy. I would definitely recommend coming here, the food was delicious and fast!

Somehow, against all odds, Ramen Del Barrio still exceeds its reputation. There's only one vegan ramen option but it's all you need, both in terms of portion size and flavor. I've never had anything quite like the mole tsukemen, a Tex-Mex mashup pairing rich mole broth served separately from handmade noodles so thick, you might mistake them for udon at a glance. Simple toppings of fried tortilla strips, avocado, charred jalapeno, and caramelized onions adorn the top. Before this moment, I thought I just wasn't a fan of mole. It turns out, I had never tried great mole before. This stuff dazzles with layered spices, melded so well that I can't pick a single one out from the pack. It's not overwhelmingly hot, but definitely leaves your lips tingling. I'm glad I finally got there before they close up shop at their current location in Hana World Market on December 21st, and even happier to know that their new brick-and-mortar isn't too far behind. I'll be there as soon as the doors open!

Apr 8, 2026 review:…read more I've been at Nori two times in person and recently tried their to-go order. We got one Austin roll ($22), volcano roll ($15), creamy spicy tan tan ramen ($20), teriyaki sesame tofu yakisoba ($20). I have had their sushi and yakisoba but tried their ramen for first time. I was impressed with their packaging. As you can see in picture, veggies and noodles box was on top and soup at bottom. The only thing I didn't like how noodles became very sticky because of how tight they were packed. So I got it as cold (because I live 30 mins away) and sticky. Ramen came with all the veggies like grilled Chinese broccoli, tofu, sweet corn, marinated shiitake mushrooms, red onions and negi. Yakisoba noodles had the Stir-fried noodles tossed with cabbage, scallion, carrot, marinated shiitake mushrooms, and fragrant negi in a savory house sauce. It was good if you like this type of noodles. Austin roll had Smoked tempeh, tempura tofu, jalapeño, pickles. And on the to Avocado, roasted garlic oil, tempura flakes, smoked paprika, teriyaki. Volcano roll was a deep fried roll which had spinach, avocado, sweet potato. On top: spicy mayo, sweet soy sauce, chili sauce, Caviart and tempura onion. I would say this is the best vegetarian sushi place I've found in Austin. So if you're in search, this wouldn't disappoint you.
