Lunch time with son and family before heading out to the Austin Airport!!!! Excellent service ! Ordered the Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen which was served with rich pork broth, Chashu pork (simmered pork belly), whole soft boiled egg, kikurage mushrooms, green onions and bean sprouts. Somehow the simmered pork belly tasted gamey to me and wasn't what I expected to be !! I loved the creaminess of the broth !!! The Gyoza pan fried pot stickers were deliciously seasoned ! I surely was full before my flight and will surely try other dish on the menu on my next Austin visit !!!

Our last day in Austin, we decided we wanted to do something soup-y. First impressions: The area this ramen shop is in is very nice! There's lots to do and shop for after or before eating! Service: Servers were friendly and attentive! Food: My bf and I both shared the chicken karage and then we each order the deluxe tonkatsu, I got the mild and he got the medium. The broth was super rich and creamy! I was really surprised. I really enjoyed the broth and its taste, however, the noodles were alittle clumpy. I would definitely recommend coming here, the food was delicious and fast!

Everything was delicious. Service was very fast and friendly. Restaurant is cute inside. Really good ramen, might be better than tatsuya. The bowls are really pretty which I appreciate. It's giving ramen in a pretty seashell.

Wow, this was close by Thinkery so convenient. We wished there was better air conditioner since it was hot outside. Get a free token for claw machine if you get a kids meal. Also there is limited chicken ramen bowl which was nice. Kids meal was welcome surprise on what you get. It comes with juice box, Korean fried chicken, steamed broccoli, and jelly for dessert. Plus they provided kiddy chopstick holders for the kids.

I've been to Marufuku Ramen multiple times now, and it never disappoints! The staff there are always friendly and attentive, and the food is solid. Interior ambience is clean and modern, and you can see a bit of the kitchen and the different orders as they come out. This most recent time, we came by on a weekday evening and were seated almost immediately. Hakata Tonkotsu (4.5/5): - Comes with rich pork broth, chashu pork, soft boiled egg, kikurage mushrooms, bean sprouts. Big fan of the broth here in terms of richness and flavor. - Choice of spice level - I usually go with the medium! Feels like it adds just enough spice without being overpowering. - Of note, this order comes with thin noodles as default (vs. the Tan Tan Ramen, where the noodles are thicker) - something to keep in mind depending on your noodle preference. Overall, would highly recommend Marufuku if you're looking for a casual spot for ramen! The service is efficient as well. Depending on the day, parking can be a bit rough but there's usually validated parking available in the garages or (free) street parking if you're willing to walk a bit. Looking forward to visiting Marufuku again soon!

Came in on a Saturday right after opening and were greeted by kind staff. Very accommodating for those at our table that had allergies / questions about spice levels (in case we needed it more spicy, or had any concerns) Plenty of seating and enjoy the bar style opening where you can see the chef's cooking (and smell the food too!) Price for 3 wasn't too bad considering you're in the heart of Austin. Apps: the edamame was good. Salted but nothing crazy. Karaage was crunchy and still moist. Ramens: Tantan Men was a different noodle texture than the other style ramen. Good and easily distinguishable that it's a different outlook having ground chicken. The chicken Paitan and Hakata Pork ramen were so similar but I like that they let whatever flavor you pick shine. Like the pork flavor is noticeable in a good, clean way. The DX chicken leg was a massive bonus for being only $4 more. Good flavor, lots of meat and easily shareable. Don't let the ramen size bowls fool you. They don't skimp on quantity. I saw other customers bowl's come out and thought to myself "I'm gonna need to pay for extra noods" but boy was I wrong. That bowl is DEEP lol.

If you're looking for great ramen in Austin, Marufuku is definitely worth a visit. The restaurant was spotless, well organized, and had a really nice ambience with soft lighting--cozy but still bright enough to actually see your food, which is always a plus at a new spot. We ordered the pork belly tonkotsu DX and the chicken paitan DX, and both were incredible. The tonkotsu broth was rich and flavorful, and the chicken paitan was the real surprise--easily the best chicken ramen I've had in the Austin area. Amazing food, great atmosphere, and a spot I'll definitely be coming back to.

Took my Midwestern parents-in-law here since they've only ever had instant noodles and are not super adventurous with food. My husband and I were surprisingly delighted wheh they said they liked it and would get it again! Luckily it wasn't too busy on a Saturday afternoon on Valentine's Day so service was great! The broth was rich, the noodles were cooked al dente, and the meat was tender. Apps: marufuku bites, gyoza Entrees: hakata tonkotsu dx (no spicy and medium spicy) The floor to ceiling windows and Japandi-like interior felt very airy and light despite the cozy seating.

7/10 I ordered the Hakata Tonkotsu with extra spice on the side. The broth was actually really good, rich and flavorful, which was the highlight of the meal. You can tell they put effort into that part. That said, the rest was kind of underwhelming. The noodles were mediocre and didn't have the texture or bite I usually expect from good ramen. The egg was also disappointing, it didn't have much flavor and wasn't soaked in soy sauce like it typically is at most ramen spots, so it tasted pretty plain. Overall, the food wasn't bad, but it was just average. Nothing stood out enough to make me want to come back. With so many solid ramen options out there, this one didn't really hit for me.

Marufuku Ramen is located in a pretty hip shopping area in Austin, and we went on a Saturday night for dinner fully expecting it to be busy--which it was. We had a late lunch earlier in the day, so we didn't mind a later dinner or some waiting time. Parking deserves its own mini review. If you're willing to pay, street parking a few blocks away is easy enough and runs about $2/hour, which isn't bad at all. After reading other Yelp reviews, I tried to find the parking garage that Marufuku validates (up to 2 hours). I even called the restaurant to confirm, but all I got was "the one with the green sign" and something about "Ranch." Helpful-ish. For clarity: the actual garage is a nearby retail garage called Metropolis, very close to the restaurant. Rates there are also $2/hour, so even if the validation doesn't work, you're only out a few bucks. As we left our hotel, we hopped on Yelp to join the waitlist. Note that you have to be within a mile to do this so we had to wait until we were close. Around 7:00 pm, the quoted wait was over an hour. The waitlist system is well organized and easy to track in real time. We ended up getting seated around 8:15 pm for a party of four. Pretty close to the original estimate. Service was great overall. Our waiter was kind and attentive--nothing flashy, but definitely solid and professional. Food-wise, this place really shines. Ika karaage: Not my favorite dish personally, but still worth trying. I would have ordered the chicken karaage but we had fried chicken for lunch that day so opted for something else. Takoyaki: Absolutely spectacular, especially if you already like takoyaki. Ramen: Some of the best ramen I've had. You have to try their flagship Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen. If you're looking for something bursting with flavor and noodles with a nice chew, the Tantan Men is also excellent. We got both ramens with medium spice and it was just right. The only minor hiccup came at checkout. The waiter brought over an iPad and took my card tableside. Luckily, I checked the bill (which I usually don't if the waiter is holding an iPad waiting for your credit card) and noticed it was the wrong one--about double what I expected. I pointed it out, and he fixed it immediately. No hassle, no awkwardness, just interesting to mention. Pro tip: take a few seconds to check your bill. People make mistakes and you can be kind about it. One final tip: there's a QR code at the door for parking validation, so don't miss that on your way out. Also, the Metropolis parking website is kind of janky--it kept spinning and blanking out for me--but it eventually worked. The validation ended up working (the 75 minute wait plus the 45 minute meal - made it just in time). Bottom line: if you want really good ramen and don't mind a little parking inconvenience, Marufuku Ramen is absolutely worth it. If you want better ramen, go to Japan.

I crave this bowl at least once a week. It's so creamy, so flavorful, so rich and perfect amount of spicy. Always a quick in and out.

We just moved to the area and decided to find the closest ramen spot. As soon as we arrived we saw many people waiting outside and I thought oh we must have found a good spot. I'm happy to say it lived up to the hype. We had about a 35 minute wait but you can just join the waitlist on Yelp whenever you are ready to go so you can save some time waiting. The restaurant is intimate but you don't feel overcrowded. The ramen broth is so flavorful and the spice level is great. You have the options on spice level though if you don't want it spicy. My ratings on food below. Pirikari chicken bites - 8/10, great crunch on the chicken and nice kick. The sauce was a little too sweet for me but overall still a nice bite Hakata Tonkotsu- 10/10, this broth shined so flavorful and creamy. My husband got this one and loved it. He ordered it medium spice. Chicken Paitan - 10/10, this was so good! Chicken was so tender and perfectly cooked noodles. I will be back for this again. I ordered this medium spice.

    Vegetable Ramen

Really enjoyed the vegetable ramen--fresh, flavorful, and really satisfying. Would love to see a few more vegan and vegetarian options on the menu!

The Robot Ramen was light, yet rich, the meat was succulent (and not too thin, at the risk of being dry) and the noodles were al dente--both were cooked nicely. Really enjoyed the Pom mule drink on happy hour. The cucumber refresher was a little too sweet for me. The spinach dumplings and barbacoa dumplings were both great! The way they presented the sauces made it slightly hard to dip your roll in it, but would still order again. My friends loved the transformer roll. Yuka-tekkan was a let down for me, just not very flavorful. Overall, would definitely come back for some rolls and the happy hour! There is better sushi on s congress but I still think this is a solid choice. Inside has really cool decor and would be a good place to bring someone to impress a date.

We got one Austin roll ($22), volcano roll ($15), creamy spicy tan tan ramen ($20), teriyaki sesame tofu yakisoba ($20). I have had their sushi and yakisoba but tried their ramen for first time. I was impressed with their packaging. As you can see in picture, veggies and noodles box was on top and soup at bottom. The only thing I didn't like how noodles became very sticky because of how tight they were packed. So I got it as cold (because I live 30 mins away) and sticky. Ramen came with all the veggies like grilled Chinese broccoli, tofu, sweet corn, marinated shiitake mushrooms, red onions and negi. Yakisoba noodles had the Stir-fried noodles tossed with cabbage, scallion, carrot, marinated shiitake mushrooms, and fragrant negi in a savory house sauce. It was good if you like this type of noodles. Austin roll had Smoked tempeh, tempura tofu, jalapeño, pickles. And on the to Avocado, roasted garlic oil, tempura flakes, smoked paprika, teriyaki. Volcano roll was a deep fried roll which had spinach, avocado, sweet potato. On top: spicy mayo, sweet soy sauce, chili sauce, Caviart and tempura onion. I would say this is the best vegetarian sushi place I've found in Austin. So if you're in search, this wouldn't disappoint you.

It's sous vide for 48 hours, and I am not exaggerating when I say it was the best meat I have ever had. Ever. If you only order one thing, make it that. Now, let's keep going because it's all great stuff and you need to know what to order. Second place is the chili cheese takoyaki. Don't overthink it, just order it and thank me later.
