This is a long review, because I'm simply incensed with Matt's attitude, but if you want to skip all of this, just know that this man thinks that his time is more important than yours. I scheduled an appointment with Matt through Amazon Home, where he has 18 positive reviews. I scheduled an appointment on Tuesday for Friday from 11 - 2pm (3 hour window) He decided that it was perfectly acceptable to call at 4:50pm and to say that he would like to "make it up" to me by showing up at 6pm. I inquired how missing a 3 hour window and calling at 5pm was "making it up to me". He proceeded to explain that him "making it up" was the act of calling and that he could have just not called at all. (It's like if someone was to run your dog over with a car and then proceed to tell you that at least he didn't run you over and tell you that he was in a hurry). I told him that I specifically stayed at home for 3 hours waiting for the service (in fact I had to rearrange my work schedule to do it) and that I'm angry that he thinks it's acceptable to call 2 hours after the appointment window. He proceeded to tell me that there are more important things in life and that it was "just a faucet". Silly me, I didn't how did I go all these years without seeking philosophical advice from a plumber. Then he proceeded to tell me that others will charge more money. (I didn't realize that missing appointments because you provide a "good value" is a perfectly legitimate reason. Silly me, I want to be able to do that at work. Did I miss that lecture in business school?). I decided to give him another chance and asked him to restate what the problem with my faucet was. Good thing I did ask!!! I love giving people second chances. (Keep in mind that he provided a firm quote for this service). He said that I was in need of a faucet replacement which I would provide. I know you are now on the edge of your seat, but this statement couldn't be further from the truth. I specifically stated in the request that I had a small leak in a handle of a faucet and that the water pressure that the faucet was generating was weak". (As you can see this is nowhere even close to what he said). How does one provide a firm price for a service and then not be able to describe the service that needs to be performed? But Matt was quick with a response. He said "that's what they told me". Matt is clearly amazing. Amazing at making excuses for himself. Apparently he firmly believes that his time is more important than the time of his customers. He also firmly believes that now showing up for appointments is perfectly acceptable if you have excuses. He couldn't understand why i was upset about his lack of professionalism and implied that regardless of how upset I was, he wasn't going to do the job for free (I've never even alluded that I wanted any free services). I'm just glad that I didn't allow him anywhere near my home. I can only imagine the number of excuses Matt would have come up with once he realized that he couldn't perform the job. "Don't worry, it's just water" "We all need water to drink" "I have tons of satisfied frog customers". I don't recall the last time I had a service provider that so clearly lacked any personal accountability or had that little regard for his customers. read more

Matt is AMAZING!!! We had the unfortunate luck of running into plumbers from "reputable" plumbing companies, who, when we decided not to sign on to bigger projects with them, came in, did as little as possible to get their check and left. One actually left the leads for the hot and cold levers for our new standing tub backwards! Matt fixed that, and took on many more projects for us, for more than reasonable prices. He is efficient, doesn't oversell projects/products, leaves the worksite clean and has very reasonable pricing. We needed to have our old tankless water heater replaced in our vacation home. I was only going to be there for a day and called a couple different plumbers that I found on yelp to see if anyone could meet me that day. Matt called within an hour and scheduled a time for that afternoon. He was pleasant and helpful in advising us on what should be done. We set up a time for a few weeks away when we knew we'd be back and he had availability. We purchased the unit from a place he recommended and Matt came to install. Matt has been outstanding in resolving several plumbing mysteries for this home that we moved into a few months ago. Apparently the water pressure coming in from the street is not the most impressive (50 psi) so any slight hindrance on the interior will be palpable. Fancy plumbing fixtures we purchased online complicated the problem-solving process further. In the face of these challenges Matt managed to restored the water pressure of the faucets throughout the house. Some of the fixtures we purchased were imported from Europe and Matt was able to figure out how to optimize the performance based on some sketchy specs. He has also serviced the dryer vent for us, which we are glad that we did once we saw the amount of the debris stuck in the vent. The reason I am very happy is that I had previously had another guy come out and immediately wanted to quote me over double the price of what Matt ended up charging without even doing anything. Matt was recommended by a friend. He came over and cleared my drain in the garage that was overflowing. He only did what I asked him to do. The work he did was quick and the leak was drastically reduced. Since there was still a small leak, he did have to come back, open up the wall, replace parts and that completed the job.
