My 1st appt with him would have been more than a month away when I first called, but Christine was so kind and helpful to call us when cancellation came up , so Dr.C was able to see me 2 days ago. Lisa is super nice to allow my wife to stay with me in the consultation room, and we both talked to Dr.C. about our same dental issues. I'm always so scared to go to the dentist & have moderate anxiety so dentist visits for me are not fun! As I was flossing on Tuesday one of my molars broke & a piece fell off. I called the office & right away they set me up to get it checked out. I went in & bam they fixed it right away! I can honestly say it was a very pleasant experience, I definitely look forward to going back for my yearly dental visit or any dental needs. I began this journey during COVID and the office showed concern about protocols and followed safety precautions. Dr. Cilderman and his team are incredible. He cares for his patients so well. He is constantly asking, "How are you doing" while you are in the chair. He explains what is going on during procedure and calls you that evening to see how you're healing. I recently visited for a procedure and when it was done he fixed my braces wire and bracket band for me. This is not where I receive orthodontic care, however he and his team saw a need and fixed it. Wow, I have had many Dentists in my life, moving all over the country, but this one is the best! I have always had a genuine interest in what is going on in my mouth while the Dentist works, but it is prohibitive to ask when you are expected to keep your mouth open. Dr. Cilderman explained what he was doing every step of the way and even why. He gave me a mirror in combination with his small mirror instrument strategically positioned in my mouth allowing me to to see "out of sight" places as he explained. He took time to answer my questions that were just mere curiosity. He let me have a say in my crown coloring choice, holding samples up next to my teeth, giving his opinion but asking what I thought. He repeatedly expressed concern for my well-being during the root canal and crown prep/fitting procedures, being extremely sensitive to my personal comfort at all times. BTW, I have had many root canals in my life time (soft enamel, that's my story and I'm sticking to it) and this is the first time I had zero pain! There was a little pain with the crown prep as my gums were sore. But I didn't feel anything with shots getting numb, and absolutely no pain during the root canal procedure. Even the rubber dam thing they use wasn't uncomfortable as they always have been in the past. I don't really know what he does differently, maybe just being overly sensitive to my comforts. I only know that it was a way better experience than any in the past :) Quite simply, he is the very best! I'm 54 years old and I've never had an experience even remotely close to this. Went in today as a new patient. I had found this place on yelp. Saw that it had good reviews and it is close to home. The appointment was for me to get my teeth cleaned. Everyone there was so friendly from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. I saw we because I had my 2 year old with me. They treated him great. My family and I have been coming to Dr. Cilderman for a few years now and we couldn't be happier! The office is welcoming and clean and always filled with happy employees. The receptionist is friendly and helpful. They are always on time, and I am never in the waiting room for more than 5 minutes. I've never had my teeth cleaned by a dental hygienist here that I didn't like, but the best is Rhea. She is quick and careful and makes coming to the dentist something to look forward to. Dr Cilderman has been my Dentist for years. I keep moving farther away from him but I won't consider going anywhere else. It's worth a two hour drive to be treated like family! I have had 3 other dentists over the years and was never completely satisfied with any if them. That changed when I first met Dr Cilderman. His calm demeanor and easy way of explaining things is exactly the professional manner you would hope to find from an expert practitioner. There is no "hard sell" here... Just options.
