We went to Dr. Matt for years. I was in an auto accident and lost a tooth. Over 18 months my mouth was prepared for an implant, bone needed to be built up. No issues with that. The party hitting me was paying 100% for everything. Dr. Matt put in an implant that has a hole so you can see the silver post. Worst of all, every little seed gets stuck in there. I've been dealing with this for years. I realize now I'm going to have to deal with it for the rest of my life. He told me he didn't realize I wanted a different implant that wouldn't show the post. We began well, until Dr. Comfort decided to repair my two front teeth veneers that had pulled away a bit from the gumline. I then had two "wads" of material not even the color or close to my teeth color. When he had finished I said they did not feel smooth. He begrudgingly took out a new set of sterile tools and tried to address the issue, but did not/could not. I know that a lot of time has passed since this occurred, but because of a residential move and my husband's new cancer diagnosis, I have not had the time to address the poor workmanship or attitude of Dr. Comfort. One of his nurses made the comment, "Is he being a curmudgeon again today? " which did not make me feel good or assured. I do not think a patient should tap dance around a grumpy medical provider whose attitude varies each day. Since that time there is some staining, but one can see the "repair" was unsuccessful. read more

First off, I do not do a lot of reviews. That being said, I can't imagine a better Dental Office and experience than what Matt and his team provide. The care and attention to detail are through the roof. I trust them completely. Over the past 15 years I have been u see their care and they have always been there for me. This place is ok. Matt is good however the receptionist/phone answerer Dawn is the reason I will not be going back. She is condescending and fake and chose to argue with me rather than listen and understand. I get it..it is not in her nature but a good experience was ruined by her and her poor attitude..I accept that the 1st time around I had a couple of scheduling conflicts and had to change last minute 1 time and rescheduled a time before that...Dawn really talked unprofessionally to me and that is unacceptable. I had a billing issue that she could have helped me understand but she chose instead of getting me to the right person, to talk to me about it. She chose to 'tell me how it is' and virtually make it impossible to go back...she was upset about the conflicts in the past and chose to take them out on me this time when I wanted to understand and talk to someone that knows how to treat customers. Dawn is not this person. I am NOT one to think that the customer is always right so I leave this comment with much trepidation because the Dentist and my xray person and cleaning person (same person) were excellent...Dawn the receptionist/phone answerer is very unprofessional and needs to be retrained. read more

Dr. Comfort has a genuinely calming manner to him. He listens to what you want to achieve with your dental care...not what he wants for you. This is important since you are given all your options, and in the end you decide. There is no upsell. In my case, I had a complicated case which would involve retention problems with a partial dental appliance. My options were explained, my questions were answered and in the end I made the decision as to what I felt was best for me. You are always treated with compassion, and if you have any fears or phobias they will work with you. I'm claustrophobic, and they managed to work with me. For me, I'm delighted to have found him and recommend him highly for his compassion, knowledge, listening ability and lack of upsell. read more

When I first walked in this place I thought...is this spa or dental office? Very nice decor and warm staff working there. From front to back a great experience. Now... I had a 2nd appt scheduled and when someone called from the office to confirm she caught me amidst one of the most difficult times of my life thus far. I had just lost my father. Poor gal. I had a crown replaced that turned out to need a root canal, which I wasn't able to afford. I am a senior and have minimal insurance. Dr. Matt walked over to Endodontic Associates down the hall and arranged everything for me and I had the work done at 10:30 the same day. He did this out of the kindness of his heart and I want to thank him so much for all he did for me! I will be a patient of his for life thanks to the great care and consideration he has given me. Everyone at the office, starting with a friendly greeting front desk staff to dental assistants and hygienist are very professional and always treat you with kindness and respect. Dr Comfort and his staff have done an exceptional job at keeping my pearly whites functional without unnecessary drilling, and has given awesome referrals and education to help me take care of my oral health. The hygienist take their time to educate on correct way of brushing (in my case over brushing, and causing receding gums). I was given wonderful referrals to an periodontist to help restore gum health and orthodontist to correct my bite. There are plenty of great dentists out there, and Dr. Matt is one of them. He is funny, caring and knowledgeable and his staff is always attentive, thorough and more than friendly. Even more important, his office staff, Tabitha especially, are totally on top of everything and wonderful to work with. Billing and other payment issues are handled easily, no headaches, etc which after headaches with other medical offices, really means something.
