This guy is the kind of person who is going to bend over backwards to insure you leave the premises thrilled for having come. Ed is totally here for me until the last action of the mattress being delivered is completed. If I have had any questions and/or needed any help with the delivery he has handled it with love and kindness. There is nothing like knowing someone has your back when your back is already up against the wall since commonly when a person purchases a mattress they are in some kind of transition in life, a major change ... purchasing a new house, the kids jumped up and down on the already 40 year old mattress for 5 years and now it is a goner, your parents are moving in, etc. So, having a person like Ed roll out the red carpet for you so amazingly you want to tell all your friends to go to Ed. And, the two other people I previously worked with were just like Ed ... That being said, unfortunately, we had a completely AWFUL experience recently at Trancas mattress firm. It started out really strong. Antonio was kind helped us find what we needed. We were really looking forward to our new mattress. The problem was on the backend . Complete and utter failure on the part of the warehouse and delivery team. We did our part paid for everything up front. We even threw in for the warranty. We set up and confirmed time & location several times for delivery which I took time off of work to make happen. The morning of the delivery, we get a phone call from the delivery driver who does not speak English that well got completely lost and kept blaming us for a bad address. We had to work with him on the phone for quite a while the whole time he kept blaming me when he shows up he show me his paperwork on the delivery sheet to prove me wrong and it had my correct address ! Somehow his phone was sending him way out of the way downtown somewhere. He didn't even apologize or admit that he was in the wrong . I had them come upstairs to take the old mattress away he kind of scoffed at it. With his coworker in another language. Open laziness attitude even. Proceeded to unload the mattress told me to inspect it first. Thank god I did otherwise I would've been stuck with a defective damaged and ripped bed that they sealed and wrapped! We were told many times that this was like new sanitized damage free. Used only once and returned with no damage. I refused the whole order. The sales rep I spoke with said he had to do a hard credit check before I could even sit in a chair. There were other people in chairs, who I know did not have a hard credit check done. He was also very rude and said "All of the chairs are $20,000. You cannot afford them." I did have a budget to buy a massage chair this year as I have been saving for one. But, I will be taking my business elsewhere as you have extremely unprofessional employees.

Akin is the best. Based on Yelp reviews and elsewhere, we started our search for a new bed at his…read morestore. He has a wide selection of mattresses and frames in the store, at various price points. He took time to listen to us about what we were looking for and suggested starting with three different mattress brands. We spent a lot of time trying out various beds, and at the end of the day, compromised between us. I wanted something softer, my partner wanted more firm. So we settled in the middle and put in our order. Akin was very responsive and patient. He kept us in the loop about delivery and dates. When the day came, he and his assistant made the delivery, and set everything up. After sleeping on the bed few weeks, it seemed more firm than we wanted, so we gave Akin a call. He was very gracious, as always, and we agreed to test the bed for several more weeks. Ultimately, we did decide to exchange the bed and frame (which we had only seen in a catalog). Akin was great. We went back to the store and chose a bed that we thought would be better for us. Akin was wonderful and made the whole transaction seamless, and even figured out how to make a few adjustments to our order to save money. We are beyond thrilled with the bed and frame now. Akin went above and beyond to make sure we were happy sleepers. I highly recommend Mattress Barn!

Fairfield was close. We were in heaven when we walked through the door. Rick was fabulous. I have a very fragile back and my daughter has issues with hers. Rick knew right where to begin to look. I ended up buying the first mattress that he had me try and my daughter bought the second. For her it was a hard choice. We also ended up getting pillows that have been a godsend. The first night we slept on our new mattresses with our new pillows was a night from heaven. My 30 pound dog loves making the bed with me and the cat sleeps all day on my daughter's bed with his toy. We ordered new mattress protecters through your store and are thrilled with their performance. Can't say enough good things about Rick and the store. He instantly knew what to show us that would meet our needs. He is very friendly and professional at the same time (hard to find anymore). I wish I could deal with him for everything I buy. She is attentive to customers' needs. The furniture selection is somewhat random&limited, and the store shows its age. The prices are on point, especially for the area. My futon frame has withstood the quakes of 2014 (and the following year) The owners are great, the store is quirky, pleasant little spot.
