Mattison Minis is nothing short of amazing. I have used them on multiple occasions; one for a large work event, once for my Black & White themed birthday, and one for a friend's birthday (that was super short notice!) For the work event, we asked for an array of things. Emily (the owner and baker) did not let us down. The lemon curd was to die for, the mini cheesecake is the best I have ever had, and she brought macarons, cupcakes, and ended up putting protein energy bites in little goodie bags for our guests. Talk about going above and beyond. Her desserts were a HIT. Absolutely nothing was left at the end of the night. My Dirty Thirty was a theme; Black & White. Can you really make black and white treats? She made black macarons, Oreo cheesecake, and mini cupcakes. Did I mention I'm a vegan and she was able to make me vegan black and white cookies too?! Then my boyfriend let me know we were going to his mother's house with less than 7 days for me to prepare or bring anything! Emily popped into mind, and she was able to walk me through what might be right for the family. They told me they love chocolate cake and carrot cake, and instead of choosing one, she made carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, and chocolate cupcakes with chocolate buttercream frosting. And, I'm sorry, but was the bottom of each chocolate cupcake packed with chocolate chips?! *drool* My boyfriend doesn't even like cake and his exact words were, "That's ridiculous. This is stupid good." Now my boyfriend is super excited for his birthday so he can have lemon bars and blondies....haha! Anyway. Everything is so good. She needs to be your new go-to. Not to mention she's so sweet and easy to work with.

I only have a couple words to say about this baker and bakery, and that is.... BOOK HER!! You will not be disappointed by the talented owner and baker Emily! We have known Emily for years and have been tasting her sweet treats and creations with happy hearts and open mouths. There has been nothing we haven't liked. She's made me chocolate cup cakes with peanut butter cookie dough frosting that is to die for and her mini cheese cakes are the best! Recently I asked her to make my daughters first birthday cupcakes and macaroons. Emily did not disappoint and her treats where a hit! I had to save a few for myself for after the party. Emily is on time, responsive, open to new ideas and willing to try new designs and creations. She is talented and smart and I know she absolutely LOVES what she does because it shows in her yummy treats. I couldn't recommend Mattison Mini's enough!!!

Emily makes all kinds of treats and takes requests. This is my latest purchase and it did not disappoint! Plus you're supporting a small local business! Highly recommend! Thanks again and see you soon!

Bite-sized mini cheesecake poppers?!! Where have you been all my life. So light, like clouds of goodness yet still packing that cheesecake punch on the palate. From chocolate Oreo and raspberry swirl, to key lime and egg nog, you can't go wrong trying all the flavors. The festive packaging was also adorable. Thanks Emily! I can't wait to try your other goodies. If they're anything like the cheesecakes, life will be goooooood. Cheers to the truly delicious!!

I didn't give myself any expectations because sometimes food that are trending are overhyped. But these desserts were really good, even the flavors I typically do not prefer. The prices are pretty up there - our order was roughly $110. Was it worth it? Yes. Would I get them again? Only on special occasions. The flavors we got are below (ranked from my personal fave to least fave): 1. Pistachio - I'm probably biased towards this since I always like anything pistachio flavored. 2. Strawberry - A little tart, sweet, and the shell is just so good. 3. Mango - If you're a mango lover, this might be your favorite. I typically do not get mango-flavored desserts, but this one was good. For it to make it to my Top 3 says a lot. 4. Raspberry - I forgot why but I remember liking this lol. 5. Avocado - This one was shocking. I do not like anything avocado-flavored. I was hesitant on trying this but it was actually delicious. Very mellow and creamy. 6. Blueberry - For blueberry fans, this might not be for you. I do not like blueberries but this one was edible enough for me because the blueberry taste was not that strong. 7. Pomegranate - This was pretty bland. It made me think what pomegranate really tasted like because I couldn't really remember from this dessert. 8. Lemon - Most disappointing. There was something odd about its tartness. Not your typical lemon-flavored items. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience here. You can see the staff work on the dessert behind the counter. The staff assisting us was very patient because we were very indecisive on what to get, but we ultimately got one of everything. I want to emphasize that none of the desserts are bad. My ranking is just based on personal faves and I'm pretty picky. Highly recommend!

I was surprised that no one spoke of business specifics in their reviews. There is a limit to how many can come in; and you are not allowed to touch anything when inside. There are also no prices listed anywhere. We thought this was odd. Our order: * Personal Peach Cobbler * Walnut Brownie * Banana Pudding For these 3 items, our total was over $25. The service was friendly but a bit awkward. You are only able to see cases of dessert options, it is more of a pick-up point, not so much a bakery location you can browse. I wouldn't suggest coming as a large group, there is no where to sit to enjoy your baked goods and parking is very difficult. While the cobbler and banana pudding were good, I wasn't a fan of the brownie. My partner enjoyed the cobbler a lot, but when we did the calculations, the prices were astronomical. I'm not sure what gourmet difference the items contained, but we likely would not come back to this bakery considering prices and parking. The location is cute, in theory, but with no actual location or displays, or price lists- what you pay for doesn't balance out. The lack of transparency for prices was very sus to us. I'm sure the business will continue on especially with how much they charged. I can't imagine the bakery location and building rent costing a lot as far as operating costs; as it is small, and not expansive at all. The price of the baked goods doesn't even go towards branded packaging. Which could be understandable. The only beverages available that I seen was Nesquik. Steep prices with no justification - especially when you have other bakeries in the area, in addition to Nation's for Pies, very affordable and classic as well. E&J's has a great banana pudding and cobbler as well for $6- they are also a Black-owned business and family operated. Absolutely no bad intent, just wanting to share transparency in my review so Yelpers know that prices are not listed, which means they are subject to fluctuation- in this economy that is not a fair way of doing business. One star per item we liked, for this review. As much signage is visible upon entry regarding rules and limited persons for entry at a time- not one area provided prices; only signs that tell you not to touch. It's required by law for prices at every establishment to be listed, according to SB 478 for general consumer goods and services in California.

The moment you walk into the shop, you'll notice the current flavor offerings displayed on colorful ice cream-shaped signs across the wall to the right. Among the flavors were some classics, fruity/floral mixes, and dessert-inspired ones too, a whole range so there's something for everyone. I got the Breakfast Brownie and it was unforgettable! It tasted creamy and delightful without being overwhelming, while the cornflakes mixed inside added a satisfying crunch to each bite. I came back a second time before a show at Crybaby, a smaller venue across the street. Grabbing a scoop here to-go has naturally become part of my pre-concert routine at this point and I plan to come back again next time to explore more flavors. Each one is well executed, but more important than any flavor is the care that goes into them. You sense that Ben wanted to get the crisp on the latkes just so, before sharing them with the town. The space itself is a big part of the joy as well. If you had your own shop, what would you paint on the walls? Overall, it's been a good experience every time. Parking can be challenging depending on the time of day. Most of the parking is on the street, so you'll need to keep an eye out for pedestrians and bicyclists while looking for a spot. That's probably the biggest inconvenience of visiting this place. There is usually a 15 to 20-minute wait whenever we come for dessert, but we've always been seated within the quoted wait time, which we appreciate. The restaurant itself is fairly small, so the dining area can feel crowded. Tables are very close together, and you're practically sitting back-to-back with other guests. Because of this, the noise level can get pretty high, and it's easy to overhear conversations from nearby tables. The desserts are the highlight here. The BingSu is excellent, and the lava cake is one of our favorites. The menu is accessed through a QR code, making ordering simple and convenient. Food portions are decent, although prices are definitely on the premium side. Service is efficient, and the food and desserts usually arrive pretty quickly. We used to go to their city location regularly, but over the years we've found ourselves visiting this location more often because the area feels more comfortable and convenient for us. That has made this our go-to spot whenever we're craving dessert. Overall, this is a great place for dessert. The quality of the desserts keeps us coming back, but the difficult parking situation and cramped seating prevent it from being a full 5-star experience. Would definitely return for the BingSu and lava cake.
