Sue tried to make a gluten free cake recently (special order) due to gluten sensitivity individual. The cake was dense yet moist, and usually gluten free cake can taste too pasty or crumbly, this was right on! So delicious! Sue's cake is always value for the price, and I would be totally content if the thickness of the cake was half the thickness, so that I didn't have to cut thin slices for everyone since it was real dense. Not a bad thing unless you just want to make sure the cake is finished. Though a suggestion for the thick gluten free cake would be to perhaps cut it into three layers and have two layers of curd so that there's more mango flavor to go with the dense cake (helps to then allow the mango curd to be tasted more - may cost a little more but it's worth the price paid for). read more

My hubby contacted her maybe a week or so before our little elopement and she was amazing (although I never got to speak to her, my hubby stated she was very polite and professional) Sue made us a Red Velvet 9inch round cake. It was absolutely amazing! She was upfront with us and said decoration was not her specialty, but if we wanted to arrange anything (i.e. flowers) she would be happy to help. I ordered from Sue before and my first experience was great. Last week I ordered a bright red heart shaped cake with Swiss Meringue buttercream, flavored chocolate on the inside. Originally I was suppose to pick it up at noon but called a week prior and requested for it to be picked up earlier, which she said was fine. When I showed up she told me I was supposed to pick it up at noon and I reminded her that I changed the time. She then tells me to come back in 30 mins only for me to pick up a cake that was NOT the bright red frosting that was requested. It was burgundy brown. It was crucial that the cake was red for my special event and she didn't even seem to care that it was not even close. I have even showed her photos a week prior and again NOT EVEN CLOSE. She picked up the phone the first time I called (a rarity) and helped me pick the appropriate flavors for both the kids and adults.
