It was an excellent shopping experience. We were done in about 20 minutes. The owner, Glenn, knows EVERYTHING about mattresses. We walked into the warehouse and he asked if we wanted to look around on our own or wanted some suggestions. We asked for suggestions. He zeroed us in on three models, had very detailed info on each. (His website also has a lot of great info.) Great prices. Next-day delivery plus removal of the old mattress. Also sells sheets, pillows, metal bed frames, and mattress covers. Since we were moving from a queen to a king, that was all really handy. Also, he works with manufacturers to get flippable mattresses, which are hard to find now. He said that one-sided mattresses are basically like buying half a mattress. People will go to him specifically for 2-siders. He says he doesn't advertise because he gets so many referrals. We were so impressed with him, we actually called the next day before the delivery and asked him to throw in a second mattress to replace one from another bedroom. I felt fine just buying it over the phone because he's that knowledgeable. He also gave us a bit of a discount for buying two. "I'm a long-term operation," he said several times. He wants customers for life. Mattress is good so far. A little firm but it takes a while to break them in. Also, as Glenn pointed out, a mattress can always be made softer with mattress toppers but it cannot be made firmer. Highly recommend!

I explained I needed a twin bed for my 89 year old dad for an assisted living facility. He did a great job directing us to a set that was reasonably priced, but would be comfortable for a senior. He was able to schedule delivery for the date I needed. The very bad - delivery service, which they charge $99 + tax for, was horrible. I received an email the day before the delivery date with a 3 hour delivery window - 10:30am-1:30pm and a website link to track the delivery. At 1:30 the projected time slipped to 2pm. At 3pm the driver finally called and said he would be there in 10 minutes. 20 minutes later he called and couldn't find the assisted living facility. I gave him directions and after another 3 calls with him he finally arrived at 4pm. The next day I spoke with Chris, the store manager, to complain and he immediately said they would refund the delivery charge and was extremely apologetic for the delivery problems even though it is totally out of his control. Hey Corporate Management - listen up - you need to significantly improve your delivery service. It reflects poorly on the company and makes it really hard on great store associates like David and Chris to do their jobs.

He even sells those affordable mattress in a box kind, the one that unfurls and becomes a real, comfortable mattress. We were impressed. Vic was able to deliver both mattress and box spring the day after purchase. He delivers alone, I suspect, and is quite capable of doing all the work himself, but since you got a good deal on your new mattress, it would be nice to help him if you can (these are MY thoughts btw) He also takes the old mattress and box spring to dispose of, which costs about $35, same as our township, but I don't have to drag it out on big trash day. If any of the big places say they take your old mattress away for free, it isn't true. It has been two weeks since our purchase. I wanted to wait to see how my son liked it. He loves it. The owner will tell you that the mattresses are new but they're not they are returns from customers…read morethat are unhappy or old store demos. Most of the mattresses are defective. That's why the price is so cheap. You think you're saving money but in the long run you'll just have to go elsewhere and buy a new mattress. The owner becomes defensive and yells when you question him about his products and will even hassle you trying to sell you a marketing course that he created lol I would stay clear of this place!!!

Gary was low-pressure, well versed in his subject matter and a gentleman. As someone who is turned off by typical retail salesmanship, I genuinely enjoyed working with Gary. Mattresses are more expensive than when I bought my last one 23 years ago (I know; like I said, I've received an education). But mattress "technology," or at least design and materials, has changed as well. Since we spend one-third of our lives sleeping a good mattress matters. I'm looking forward to receiving my new mattress shortly. The financing options Mattress Firm offered made it much easier to make this important investment.
