I was extremely impressed on my visit to this Mattress Firm located near Wegmans in Warrington. From Gary Bailey, the salesperson who worked with me, I received an education rather than a sales pitch. Gary was low-pressure, well versed in his subject matter and a gentleman. As someone who is turned off by typical retail salesmanship, I genuinely enjoyed working with Gary. Mattresses are more expensive than when I bought my last one 23 years ago (I know; like I said, I've received an education). But mattress "technology," or at least design and materials, has changed as well. Since we spend one-third of our lives sleeping a good mattress matters. I'm looking forward to receiving my new mattress shortly. The financing options Mattress Firm offered made it much easier to make this important investment. Went here with my wife on a Saturday night out without the kids looking to replace our 15 year old mattress. We were greeted by Monica and she took the time to answer all our questions. She then asked a few questions and pretty much had a feel for what we needed. We tried just about every mattress in that place and she was able to explain the differences in all of them while taking the time to make recommendations based on our sleeping positions. After picking a mattress we moved on to a base, another decision filled with choices. She again was able to explain the differences in the bases helping us make a clear decision. Her suggestions were very helpful and she did not have the "pushy, buy the most expensive thing and leave so I can move on to the next costumer attitude". She actually stayed after close to help us out and did her best to steer us to stay within our budget. After picking everything out and doing the paperwork we picked a delivery date. After getting home and sleeping on the old bed we realized we needed the new ins faster. Called Monica and she was able to push it up a few days for us. Delivery was today and everything went as planned. Delivery guys were clean and didn't mess anything up getting it all up and taking the old stuff down my narrow stairway. My boyfriend and I were just beginning our search for a new bed, and I was NOT looking forward to this experience. Mostly because we have very different preferences on the mattress we sleep on and its my least favorite thing to do on a gorgeous Saturday. However, Monica and Joe were EXTREMELY helpful and pleasant to work with. They understood we were on budget and went above and beyond to help us to obtain a bed that we could afford and could see ourselves sleeping on. Another thing that was very convenient was the speed of the transaction. And to follow through on a speedie delivery, the two gentlemen who delivered the bed were prompt and helpful. (They also arrived early, which was also greatly appreciated.) Lastly, because of Monica's and Joe's knowledge on the selection of beds, we felt confident in our bed selection and happy that we did not break the savings account. I stopped in this store thinking I was just browsing for a new bed, and ended up making a purchase same day. I was helped by Monica, and greeted as soon as I entered the store. I told her a little bit of what I was looking for, and she immediately had suggestions for beds I should try. She took the time to have me lie in a comfortable position for several minutes, and then checked my alignment with each bed I tested. Monica gave me all of the information on the components of each bed, and what the pros/cons were to each. She even showed me the manufactures samples on how each of the beds were made up. She was quite busy with other customers at the time I had entered the store, but I never felt as if I didn't have her attention. Monica was truly a pleasure to work with, was not "pushy" on which bed to purchase, and was respectful of my price points. From the very start I had a great experience with Tom. He began by giving me a soft, medium and firm mattress to test and see what best suited me. He then pointed me out in the direction of a bunch he thought I'd like and then listened to my feedback on each one and used my feedback to troubleshoot. Eventually I made my way to the intellibed midnight. This mattress was incredible and Tom seemed to be adamant about it, going through all of its specs (it was 8000$. May have had something to do with it.) While pricing this out it did feel like there was a lot being thrown at me, such as a warrantied mattress cover for 200$, along with some upgraded adjustable platform with a 10 year extended warranty on the motor. None of which I specifically asked for from the start but were thrown into the total and then when I asked for a little more explanation on what was in my cart he went back into detail and explained why he put them in without my asking. Then by some stroke of luck he managed to find the intellibed I was looking for in one of the warehouses for 50% off something he called an "outlet mattress" fancy way of saying it's not brand new in package. Seemed almost like a dream come true I mean I was still spending 4000 on just the mattress alone but still much less than I was going to spend. Then he began talking about how the mattress was just one of a kind rare and these deals don't pop up often but if I wanted it I had to act fast or else someone could get it. I signed on the dotted line and scheduled a shipping date for 2 days later. Mattress firm called later that night to find out how many stairs and levels were needed to go up in order to install my new mattress and set up. I gave them all the information and they said they would be more than capable of accommodating. Fast forward two days, I excitedly moved my old mattress over to my guest room in preparation for my new mattress. I had to go to work during the time frame of delivery so I had inconvenienced a friend to come over and sign for the package. When the delivery guys showed up to my house they looked around and examined the path to my bedroom and said they didn't bring enough guys to complete my delivery. They insisted they needed 3 and only had 2. When my friend offered to help them get it installed and to help them do their job they refused his help due to the liability of breaking something (understandable). To resolve the issue I offered to have a waiver signed to ensure them they wouldn't be responsible for any damage done and they still refused to deliver. They said they needed a third man to complete the delivery and it will need to be rescheduled. I called mattress firm instantly, worried that the one of a kind mattress was going to be sold to someone else. The sales person that answered the phone assured me that's not the way they do business and that I was a valued customer and that their delivery team was being lazy. I was told the delivery team was reported and I would be compensated. My compensation needed to be discussed with management but something would be done. I received a call 15 minutes later and was told that because I'm already receiving the mattress in "used condition" at 50% off that they can't do anything besides free delivery. I figured free delivery would almost be a given after that experience with their first team and inconveniencing my friend, not to mention the fact that I now have to sleep in the guest room of my own house until it gets there. They began telling me well 50% off is already a lot and there is nothing more that can be done... almost as if me spending 5500$ is being downplayed because "it could have been more". I felt as if they were trying to play it off as if they buy intellibed midnights for 4000$ whole sale from their supplier... like they aren't making a profit on me. At that point I didn't feel like a valued customer and I didn't feel like my 5,500$ was appreciated one bit. After I told them I'd be taking my business elsewhere they decided to throw in 2 black ice pillows. I told them I just wanted this done ASAP because I'm sick of sleeping in my guest room and didn't want to start the process over somewhere else. I accepted their deal and we rescheduled delivery. The mattress was delivered the second time around without incident, by you would believe it 2 DELIVERY GUYS!! I couldn't believe it. But now it's a couple of days later, I got some good nights of rest in my nice new bed but one thing is for sure. I will not be purchasing from them in the future due to my 5,500$ dollar purchase going by unappreciated as if I was getting the best of them on a used condition mattress. read more

I went in looking for 3 mattresses. 1 Adult queen, 1 Child twin, 1 Child full. The store was generally lightly busy, and I never had to wait long for assistance. I was taken care of by the store manager Monica, who was knowledgeable, helpful, and patient. More importantly she was not pushy, and was understanding that there was a real budget concern. Off course I was shown ridiculous high priced options, and low end bargain ones. We settled on the middle of the line. Monica made sure we got available discounts and such. My wife and I were at the store to find out the most suitable mattress that will fit our preferences. We were helped by Joe who was very nice and helpful. He educated us on the different mattresses that they carried in the store and allowed us to patiently try them out as well. He told us about the holiday sale and we were keen to do a purchase, however we were not sure of the mattress that we wanted. We were the kind of buyers who typically do not buy something like a 2000-3000 dollar mattress without researching on them online after trying them at a store. We asked Joe, if he could write down the names and item number of the mattresses we liked, he replied saying his job was only to educate us on the mattresses, but not write them down. We asked if we could take pictures, he said we could. While we were taking pictures of the ones we liked, he interrupted and told us not to take pictures of the prices that were posted along with the mattresses. When asked, he did not tell the reason, started acting weird and asked us if we intend to make a purchase since the sale will end same day. We told him that we came to check out the mattresses and would prefer to research on them before deciding on which one to buy. He mentioned 90-95% of the people who come to his store make a purchase same day and we cannot be stopping by the store just to educate ourselves, check out the mattresses. Initially he said that his job was to educate buyers, but now he was acting like a typical sales man. He even said that he did not do a good job, should we decide to not make a purchase right then. It seemed he was forcing us to make a decision, which we did not like at all. He started arguing with us and asked why we would not make a purchase right then. He even told us it is a bad idea to go back home and research further on the mattresses we are considering, when he has given the information on them already. We found him pushy and left the store. Although, Joe was an experienced sales person,helpful and educated us on the mattresses that sleepy's offers, he was very pushy and argumentative. He needs to understand customers may take time to decide and may not be the ideal customer by his definition and purchase on the same day. read more

Fantastic experience, I dealt with Lisa H. Who was sooo knowledgeable in the various products and designs of the mattresses. Having never been to a mattress firm I did not know what to expect. We went around the show room she explained things, we found my bed type which was firm and then proceeded to narrow down the choices she honestly explained the pro/cons of each price point of mattress and with a no pressure sales pitch made suggestions and ultimately I chose what worked best for my budget. Once I chose we went through the charges delivery, tax etc and then reviewed the warranty policy and Lisa explained any questions I had. I think I was in the store for an hour and never did I feel rushed or that I was bothering Lisa. One can tell she she wants to get you into the correct bed both budget and comfort wise. If you are looking for a sales rep that is knowledgeable and eager to help with excellent customer service Lisa H. Is your gal. I would also recommend mattress firm as a great store, they had wide variety of inventory and also I loved the full transparency from the pricing to the warranty no surprises at all. We went to this location with the intention of purchasing a mattress today and had a basic idea of what we wanted. The two salespeople were busy when we entered the store so we tried out a couple mattresses in our price range that were on sale. Salesman Tom quickly made himself available to us and ushered us over to some of the most expensive mattresses in the store and launched into an exhaustive pitch. He seemed knowledgeable and helpful enough until we told him we could not spend $5000-$7000 on a mattress. At this point he became a little pushy and then went to assist others. He was totally uninterested in showing us anything in our price range and tried to sell us on 0% financing instead. Maybe you get what you pay for, but what's the point in looking at a Mercedes if you can only afford a Kia? To that point, this experience was worse than car shopping. Rather unpleasant overall and we will not return. read more
