Making any kind of big purchase can be fraught and stressful. You want to get a good deal, but it's like the people selling the things are trying to make that as difficult as possible. But I'm happy to say that getting our mattress at Mattress Xpress was probably the most pleasant "big purchase" shopping experience I've had. The showroom is absolutely massive, and no one was hanging around, watching our every move as we tried them out. We did meet Karl, and he directed us to some we'd like and answered any questions we had, but he mostly let us figure it out for ourselves, which was great because we were probably there for 1.5 hours going back and forth between our favorites. We ended up getting a great deal on a king size latex mattress. And even though it was one of the most expensive mattresses in their store, it was sooo much less than what you'd pay for a latex mattress elsewhere, and even less than a mid-range mattress at a big name store. We used to come back from traveling wishing that our bed at home was as comfortable as one in a hotel. Now that's reversed and our bed at home is more comfortable than any hotel.

I live in an older house, so when they were coming to deliver the bed that I had purchased it did not fit where I wanted it to fit so I needed to change the style of the entire purchase that I had made. We were greeted promptly and efficiently with a gentleman by the name of Brian. Brian was very friendly and knew exactly what I needed from the moment. I walked in the door and explain to him what was going on because I have a crushed spine. He walk us through the whole process and was very funny and took the time to let us try all the mattresses we wanted to try, and did not feel like we were being rushed at all. He gave us his cell phone number after the service was done in case we needed anything after the sale was complete to help with, which was very much appreciated because it ended up being Needed later on. The delivery of the platform and mattress was a little different because I was kind of skeptical about the whole process because I knew the size of my stairwell that it needed to go up and sure enough what we had purchased did not fit so we had to wait and Get a new platform in new bed than what we originally purchased, but Brian was with us the whole time walking us through the process and helping us out. He was an absolute pleasure to work with and because of the fact that he did what he did I would continue to return back to this location, I recommend that if you are in search of a bed that you check this place out it is definitely worth your while and by the way it's been the best night sleep I've ever had in my life I wake up refreshed and my wife is saying that I don't snore anymore lol I didn't think I snored. We ordered a mattress and box spring for our 3rd floor guest room. Metro Mattress delivered the items to the front porch so it was up to us to get them up the stairs. Turned out the box spring could not navigate a tight turn on the stairway so we couldn't use it. We let Metro Mattress know we needed to bring the items back and they said no way, no returns regardless. The items are brand new in their packaging. This is ridiculous. Casper for one offers a "free 100 day sleep trial" so I can't imagine how Metro Mattress can stay in business with this policy. Actually, I can: because people don't learn about their policy until it's too late. Please read the word!

Well, we bought a top-of-the-line Beautyrest mattress that arrived very quickly, and we love the sleep quality but that's not it. Steve's customer service ethic was over the top. We needed help converting our full to a queen and he wouldn't let up on assisting us until it was resolved. He was incredible. I love doing business with locally owned small businesses like this one. Last year we went to a sort of big box furniture store for another mattress. The salesman was absolutely not helpful, and the company's promise of a quick delivery was not honored. We need more excellent small businesses like Steve's.
