Very frustrating delivery experience. They delivered the $4,000 bed just fine but the over-priced $200 mattress cover was back ordered, which is all fine, except they expect you to take a day off of work for this $200 thing. Can't leave at doorstep, can't leave with the neighbor. I think its a private delivery firm named Diversified Logistics and not necessarily Mattress Firm's fault, but I have to ding Mattress Firm for using them or instructing them not to drop off. (Wife was in the backyard and didn't hear the doorbell ring). read more

My husband and I had such a good experience browsing at Mattress Firm (my review is here: http://www.yelp.com/biz/mattress-firm-fuquay-varina?hrid=zQtKeB7MB8FPSA9hcVccaQ) that I told him we should check out Sleepy's for a comparison. Boy, was I wrong. A salesman approached us and asked what we were looking for. He took us around to different beds and told us about them while we tried them out. I definitely liked the more laid back sales approach Mattress Firm had (again, read my review). I also didn't like that Sleepy's tended to hide their mattress prices. You have to lift up the velcro on each bed to see the price. They advertise their monthly payment price while financing so it looks super cheap. Anyway, we tried out a few mattresses and really liked one. The only issue was it was $3500...definitely more than what we wanted to spend. The salesman put the hard sell on and explained how it wouldn't be much more per month when financing. He then asked us if we knew how financing worked. Yes, I do...I have a mortgage and a car payment. I'm not stupid. I know it seems like low payments, but it was still more than what we wanted to spend. When my husband told him we were just researching mattresses at this point, the salesman responded, "What do you have to research? We have everything here" and then said something to the extent of "If you're not ready to buy a mattress, then why are you here?" I don't exactly remember the first part of what he said but he definitely said, "then why are you here?" Wow, rude. Do people walk into one car dealership and decide on a car? Most don't. Most do their research. He acted like we wasted his time, when in fact we were the only ones in the store. Now, I try not to judge. My husband was in sales and yes...people do have tough times and depend on quotas and such. So I don't know if that was his situation and he was really banking on our sale, but there are better sales approaches to take. My husband asked if he had a card and he walked quickly away into a back room. We stood there looking at each other like wtf? He came back and my husband again asked him if he had a card. "Nah, just come back when you're ready to buy" he responded. Yeah you know what? No thanks. We returned to Shawn at Mattress Firm and we found a comparable (if not better) mattress and negotiated it for $800. read more

I ordered a mattress from this store, today was scheduled delivery. Had to call yesterday to get delivery confirmation since no one contacted me as promised. We wait through the given time frame then call the store. I'm then told that the mattress we ordered, paid for and confirmed delivery of is now not in stock. Why did no one let me know this before waiting all day and disposing of my daughter's old bed? After a conversation with the store manager, and him speaking to me in a condescending tone, he says he'll bring us "a much better bed that his 6 year old daughter sleeps on". It's garbage. Hard as a rock and not nearly as nice as the one we ordered. I cannot believe my daughter has to sleep on this "mattress" tonight. She'd be more comfortable on an air mattress. Alex even took time to research the best options before I arrived at the store. The store manager, Tom, was also incredibly helpful, in knowledge of cost and best way to get the most for my money. If you want a second hand high pressure experience come here. If you are not looking to spend $2000 on a queen bed then you will be given the cold shoulder here. We saw so many more affordable options at other companies in the same area , stay away!!!! Trust me these jokers are bad news. Plus they wanted to charge 50 bucks for delivery and if I wanted to pick up the mattress I had to go all the way to Butner and then pay to pick it up!!! You gotta be kidding me. Sleepy's the company SUCKS i just got a base delivered and when the techs leave they did not sync the remotes,, they did not give the owners Manuel the warranty Manuel and the one of the bases was broken. OH and they they want to walk us through to fix it Wtf and now we have NO bed to sleep on tonight... so what the heck??? they dont care they cannot do anything today even though it was THERE isssue story of my life dont buy from the company they are snakes in sheeps clothing. nice as can be to get a sale then send you shit products . read more

My fiance & I went to Mattress Firm & Sleepys today to look at getting a new mattress. We had a good experience at Mattress Firm but decided to also check out sleepys. The salesman, Todd, at this store is so pushy & rude. We did find a mattess we liked & told them we needed to think it over, he would not take no for an answer. He kept on & on & eventually told us he could save us $1800, we told him we appreciated it but still needed to think about it. He kept on running his mouth & just being rude. I'm in sales myself & if I took this approach I wouldn't sell anything. We left & as soon as we got into the car we both said we didn't care how much money we could save, if we decide to buy, it will be from Mattress Firm!! We were highly satisfied with our recent mattress purchase. We had sales associate, Jay. He was super patient with us, answering all our questions, and he was extremely knowledgeable about all the mattresses! They had excellent sales on Memorial Day weekend. We would go back in a heartbeat for our next mattress purchase. The one thing I really liked about Jay was that he had to get some information from the warehouse for us regarding adjustable legs on the base. He followed up and did exactly what he said he would do. We did not have to call and follow up. He got us the information we needed in a timely manner. If 0 stars was an option that is the direction I would go. My wife and I were in the store last weekend as a first stop trying to see what was out there in the mattress world as this was both of our first mattress purchase. We were greeted nicely by a brown haired man who gave us his pitch. Once we found a bed we liked ($4,300), he began to push hard. I asked him for a card and told him we just started researching mattresses, and he flat out said "No you can't have a card cause you're not going to come back." Worst experience possible. read more
