So, I went to the store on Caroline St. pretty much knowing what mattress I wanted but I still had lots of questions. And there was Rodney, the guy who can answer whatever questions you have about mattresses. He was so helpful explaining the difference between the mattresses. Once I chose the one I knew I wanted we sat down for payment and logistics. Both were not the "norm" but Rodney understood and made it happen. Now for the delivery crew. They were dropping off my new queen and taking away my old king. These guys went over and above. Super nice, super professional. What more can I say? Recommend highly! read more

After ordering a mattress online it was becoming very uncomfortable after only a month. I am in the process of returning the mattress I purchased online. My shopping experience here was very pleasant. When I arrived, James asked me person questions to help determine which mattress was best for me. We decided on a beauty rest. The prices aren't cheap but I arrived during the end of the Memorial Day sale There was plenty of parking in the parking deck. James the sales expert was very knowledgeable on the mattresses in the show room. He explained the difference between what I needed due to my back injury, and what would help me. He also had documentation that shows how the mattresses were structured what they were made of, and what they consisted of. it's just day one and I'm loving my mattress. I'd been searching for a new mattress for about a year and I've been to a few mattress firm locations around Atlanta. Some experiences were ok and others were down right uncomfortable. By the time I visited this location, I knew which mattress I was going to purchase. There was only one sales associate available. In addition to assisting us, Robert also had to answer the phones etc., but he was helpful for the most part. The delivery was fast, but the delivery team damaged my wall. They took our information and said someone would contact us for the repair. We also noticed that the mattress was damaged upon opening the plastic. No one called us and I ended up calling the store to speak with my sales associate. I didn't speak with Robert, but ended up getting connected to Rodney. Rodney went above and beyond to fix the errors. He put me in contact with someone to handle the repair to my wall and got a new mattress delivered quickly. I really appreciate his promptness and excellent customer service. read more

My wife and I bought a Beautyrest "Plush" mattress after lying on several different beds in the store. The mattress was delivered and we slept on it barely one night. It was terribly hard. We went back to the store and compared lying on the "Firm" and "Plush" of the same mattress. Our mattress was definitely "Firm". It was so bad that we couldn't sleep on it and had to return it. Don't listen to those ads about money back if you return it. You lose $99 delivery fee (required) and 20% restocking fee. We were out $400. We believe the mattress we received was really a firm, or not the same manufacturing process of the model in the store. Better to buy a mattress in a box and have it delivered. If it doesn't work, they really do take them back for free. You pay no shipping and get all your money back. read more

I promise you will regret buying a Sleepy's pillow top mattress. It feels so soft and nice until you've had it a little past the whatever day grace period they give you and then your back will constantly hurt. and don't even think about sleeping in it with another body next to you. It's so weak that you will roll into each other and be so uncomfortable. My 28lb dog rolls into me. I'm not even done paying off the interest free loan on it and I am already buying a new one because I can't take how miserable I am. Ps I'm a 110lb 32 year old woman. DO NOT buy from Mattress Firm. They charged me $784 return fee for a mattress I never slept on. I contacted them and let them know I was unable to stand the gasses that were emitting from their mattress. They told me I had to keep the mattress for at least 2 weeks. To be fair the contract did state that there would be a restocking fee ($99) and return fees (20% because you have the audacity not to like their mattress and another 20% because you have better sense than to buy a replacement from them. They claim the additional 20% is to "encourage" you to buy the replacement mattress from them. At the time I did not see a problem with the arrangement. I figured worse case I'd pay 20% plus a restocking fee if I didn't like my initial choice and select another mattress. If their fees are this high I figure they must get requests for returns quite frequently. I didn't know that the smell that came from their mattress was so offensive. I was informed to let the mattress air out for a day or two. My thought was it was a mothball type of issue. Not true, the gasses were coming from the mattress itself. Not long after the mattress arrived, I got a headache and felt nauseous. I tried the next day to get some work done. But since my bedroom doubles as my office, I had to abandon my bedroom/office for two weeks. Mattress Firm charged me $784 to take back a mattress I never slept on. I hated to pay them that exorbitant amount but my health is much more important to me than Mattress Firm's gouging return prices. My experience with Mattress Firm encouraged me to go organic. I investigated Birch and Awara. They are purported to be the top manufacturers of organic mattresses. I went with Awara. But first I asked about their return policy. Get this, they allow you 365 days to return the mattress and they do not charge you anything to return it. Not to mention on top of being approximately $700 cheaper, Awara included sheets, mattress cover and pillows for free. I have never slept better. The service was excellent. Mattress Firm extended my delivery date. AWARA delivered exactly at the date/time we agreed upon. AWARA turned out to be an honest and reputable company worth doing business with. My fiancé and I went into mattress firm looking to upgrade to a king mattress. We've never mattress shopped before and were worried we would get pressured into something we didn't want. We had a great experience working with Jessica. She was super friendly and helpful. We tried all of the different mattresses to figure out which best fit our needs. She never pressured us or made us feel like we had to buy from them. She helped us narrow down to the perfect mattress! One awesome thing is they offer a 120 day price match! If you find a new mattress cheaper they'll give you a price adjustment. Also a 120 day comfort guarantee, if you find it's not comfortable they will exchange it for you. Worst consumer experience I've ever had in my life. PSA!!! Do not buy from mattress firm! They hit us with the "you spend 2/3 of your life sleeping, so you should make an investment in yourself", "sleep is so important to your health and well-being" and "Monday-back guarantee" sales pitches. But if something should go wrong- and you're not happy with your purchase- they no longer care about your quality of sleep or satisfaction with their product. I deeply regret my purchase and wish I had just gone with one of the many online mattress companies out there. My roommate and I came in to this location both looking to buy a mattress. We tried out a few in our target price range and firmness, ultimately both picked the same mattress, and were ready to make our purchase. The associate "helping" us had only been there for 2 days, and couldn't figure out how to finish the transaction, and the manager on duty was occupied with a couple that came in after us- so we sat there for 30 minutes just waiting for him to come help check us out. After sleeping on our mattresses for about a month (they tell you to wait and break it in before you try to exchange it), we still couldn't stand sleeping on these mattresses- and couldn't figure out what the issue was. We revisited the store to ask about exchanges, and they asked us what kind of sleepers we were (back, side, stomach)- which would have been helpful the first time around. The manager realized that the mattresses they sold us had built-in lumbar support- which is not recommended for stomach sleepers. Had a more experienced sales associate been helping us in the first place, we would have made a more informed purchase. At that point, I was just interested in getting a refund, and trying my luck with a box mattress. But they informed us that the "free" bed frame that came with our mattress purchase was not returnable, and that if I wanted a refund, I would be charged $300 for the bed frame. For the record- I already have a bed frame, and did not want the one that came with the mattress, but was coerced into accepting it, because "it's free"! So we were stuck with exchanging them, instead. By the time we got hit with the restocking fee, and another delivery fee, our options were reduced to purchasing a mattress that was deeply discounted, so we wouldn't be out of pocket any more than we already were. Our mattresses were delivered (another $40 for the delivery guys), and we immediately realized that they were completely opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of firmness (think Goldilocks and the three bears). We bought the exact same mattress. They looked the same, same tag, WILDLY different firmness. So we go back to the store to explain what happened- and of course they can't help us, because you're only allowed one exchange. I tried to plead my case, that under the circumstances- maybe an exception was called for, seeing as how they sold us the wrong mattress to begin with, and that there was something obviously wrong with the replacements they sent us. But they insisted that their exchange policy was right there in the fine print on the receipt that we signed, and refused to do anything about it. We were told that our only option is to file a claim with the manufacturer- and that they would require photo evidence of major sagging, and probably wouldn't consider a claim until after a year. So long story long, I'm back to sleeping on my 15-year-old mattress, and my "new" mattress is in our guest room- not being used. Money right down the drain. Never again. And if anyone mentions to me that they are in the market for a new mattress- I'm telling them my story. read more

I could not have had a better experience at Mattress Firm in the Edgewood shopping center. Browsing, purchase, and delivery - the whole process was refreshingly easy and pleasant! And I got a great deal! I will definitely buy my next mattress at this store. Salesman, Mike, was friendly and patient while I tried out various mattress. He encouraged me to get "cozy" on the mattresses - to take off my coat and get into the usual sleeping position. He sincerely wanted me to find the right mattress for me! He showed me firm and plush, as well as tempur-pedic. He also talked with me about my budget, and he showed me options that fit my pocketbook. The selection was great, and it was easy to pick out what I wanted. In the end, I found the perfect one and got a great deal! I spent $13,000 in the store and after the sale was made the customer service went to zero. Originally when we went to purchase our mattress and adjustable base our total was $16,000-and we were fine paying this amount when we assumed this would be our bed for the next 20 year, upon our original delivery we found out we were charged for the wrong bases and ended up having $3000 refunded and a new delivery date set. When the mattress and base was delivered and set up I was out of the house and my partner was working from home so he accepted the items while he worked. When I got home I saw I would have to climb onto the mattress with a step stool and immediately called mattress firm to review our options. They informed us that bases are not returnable and if we had any problem we should have refused it at the time of delivery. Even after I asked how they would enjoy jumping in and out of the bed multiple times of the night to use the restroom they seemed to have no empathy. After multiple calls throughout the afternoon we were offered to return the bases for 20% restocking fee, so we would lose $700-ish for just browsing in the store. The sales rep, Rodney, seemed to be very well informed on which mattress would suit us best for long term satisfaction and we even spoke about my current bed frame, the fact that it had built in drawers, and that I was very attached to the bed frame, i.e. I don't want to buy a new bed frame. He sold us on the bases for the zero gravity sleep factor yet never mentioned that the height of our bed frame would be an issue. Rodney told us that he was excited about making such a high sale, I assume because of the commission, and the only thing I can think is his excitement lead him to forget vital questions to assure customer satisfaction. After everything was delivered it was a "it's your problem not ours" type of situation. After the original amount was incorrectly charged I looked up prices on the manufacture website, had we had bought directly from them we would have saved almost $1000. Let's be real. I think buying anything that's heavy, a pain to deal with, and needs delivery can be a pain. It's either a complete miss or hit when dealing with a rep/delivery. In my case.... mine was a hit. I had an excellent experience. From the sales rep to execution, IMO. I did a lot of research on Mattress Firm. I came to this one since it was closer to my place/I was shopping anyway in the area. I walked in on a random night around 7ish just looking for mattress since the one I have is now old. I didn't want to be swarmed by sales reps so I chose to go at a later time. I walked in and looked around for like 10 mins when Tyler (rep) approached me if I needed anything specific. I told him my criteria and off we went to the magical land of below $500 mattresses! He probably pulled out 10 - 15 beds for me. This was a bigger purchase for me, so.... I wanted to get my monies worth. When I sort of had a few in mind, Tyler gave me a quote and etc for a bed I was 90% stuck on. I even got free delivery (knocked off 80 bucks). I chose the actual bed the next day since I couldn't decide (This or that!?). When I finally did choose, I went to the front again (Tyler wasn't in the next day, but he put ALL my info in the Database already beforehand, that saved me another 30 mins probably), a new rep helped me. Since Tyler did his job properly, I got my delivery date picked and then I left. Delivery (later on in the week) - so they gave me a time frame of 5PM - 8PM. NOTE: I received a confirmation call the day before my delivery to remind me of the delivery. She was super nice! I think her name was Joanna? Very personable. ... The delivery guys called me at 4:50pm to see if I was home and able to open the door. This was awesome :D I had dinner plans around 6:30 so I was realllllly hoping they'd arrive before 6. YAY. I feel like this doesn't happen often - When a company is able to come earlier than expected. Most places come later, or even late to their delivery. The guys even helped me move my futon out of my room & put some trash away in the garbage. Then they brought up my new box spring & mattress (up 4 floors btw) & set it all up. We placed our order with the promise that our mattress would be delivered in 3 days, but it's been rescheduled about 5 times now with no delivery date in sight almost two months later. I have been getting constant excuses and promises to keep me updated which were never fulfilled--sure, I understand if the manufacturer is having problems, but that doesn't excuse your store not keeping me in the loop by telling me that my order is going to be delayed for the 5th time, especially when we're taking work off to be available at home for the arrival of a mattress that is never going to be delivered. I've been wanting to buy a mattress for a while, but didn't really want to part with the money. My back, too many sleepless night, and crappy morning's had multiple conversations with my wallet and I decided to start looking. The Mattress Firm on Caroline was suppose to be the first place I visit, not the place I bought. Although my son and I were the only ones there at the time, I didn't feel crowded or pressured to buy anything. The sales person Terry greeted me, helped me feel comfortable and answered questions. When I wanted more details, Wayne answered them and even helped me get to a price point that was on target with my expectations, for the bed and size I wanted. What really impressed me was that after both sales people spent over an hour with me, while alternating entertaining my son (who insisted on lounging on the Oprah bed), I said I needed more time and wanted to think about the price they quoted me for the bed I wanted. They wrote the info down for me, said to bring it back if I was interested and they would honor it. I will be honest with you, I immediately left and we prompted went to another store that was my other option to look at the bed/furniture I was eyeing to get a comfort and price comparison. Although the comfort was about the same, once I added up all the separate costs for the mattress, box spring, frame, and delivery charge, the Mattress Firm price was less expensive and they delivered the next day for free vs. 4 days later at a cost. I returned the day and my quote was honored, as they told me, even though the other sales person was not there, which I thought was cool. They gave me detailed instructions about the return policy and I would encourage anyone who is thinking about making such a big purchase to not take that part lightly. You have, I think up to 90 days to return the bed, but you should give it at least 30 before you make a firm decision. I've had the bed now for about a week and I'm pretty sure its a keeper. I would definitely buy from Mattress Firm again, but more importantly I would buy from this specific one on Caroline St. in the Edgewood Shopping Center if I ever needed another mattress. But it won't be the one my son was lounging on. read more

Since the Mattress Firm is nearby we wandered in to take a look. It ended up being quite a pleasant experience. First we needed a serious refresher course on the current design of mattresses and the widely varying options. Then came the "nap" tests. Followed by discussions and advice. Perhaps because of our age and experience, we emerged with probably the lowest tech of the lot, but one that fully met our needs and desires. The folks at the shop were patient and helpful. Would never do business from Mattress Firm again. Very shady and represents everything thats wrong with salespeople that work on commission and will do anything to get a sale. They constantly misrepresented everything from bed features to warranties to pricing and financing. Actually pricing is a joke because you have to haggle as if you were in a Moroccan market. They lied about the financing and now have created so many credit problems than Ive never experienced in my entire life. Emailed the salesperson and never heard back; of course not, the commission is done so is he. Contacted Mattress Firm over the phone; never heard back. Contacted them via social media. Nothing. Completely just offended by your associate "Oakley" I am moving and looking to replace my mattress. I went into this location and was greeted by him at the door. I told him I was looking for a memory foam mattress. He pointed to the mattresses in the back and I proceeded in that direction. He came over and asked "why do you want a memory foam mattress?" in a very snotty tone. I explained that a friend had purchased one from here and told me those were the most comfortable. I then proceeded to try them out and he told me about the financing. I thanked him, shook his hand, and said I would return. He responded "sure you are." I was so shocked and embarrassed that he would say such a thing. I'm sure you guys hear customers say that all the time, but I've never heard a rep actually respond that way. I was so offended I didn't know what to say! Was it because I was black? Or is it that he just has a crappy attitude? Either which way I would appreciate if your associate wouldn't pass judgment on customers. I genuinely wanted to purchase a mattress from your store but I will gladly take my money elsewhere. Very disappointed in my experience. I ordered the highest end of a national brand and scheduled my delivery for two weeks later for a 3 hour time block (taking off work and rearranging my schedule). As the three hour block waned, I called the number on my receipt several times. Finally after my time block was over, I got someone to pick up the phone and they said there was a confusion with the warehouse and they could have it delivered in 10 hours at the very soonest. I asked for a refund rather than deal with rescheduling and another possible debacle. Even if I had received a call from the warehouse explaining the issue and offering to work with me and my schedule, I might have reconsidered. Oh well...I guess I will take my business to somewhere more punctual and professional. read more

We got great service here...walked in, picked out a mattress in less than 15 minutes, and are having it delivered in a few days! No one was pushy and everyone was helpful and friendly. They have a military discount. Also, it's worth noting that the same day delivery isn't necessarily available (especially, I'd guess, if you come late in the day) and all delivery is an extra charge. My mattress buying experience was utterly pleasant, which was a surprise. One thing that wasn't expressly clear to me was that they have different inventory in the stores than they do online. I saw a very reasonably priced "hybrid" mattress online, and I was surprised that the store didn't carry it. The saleswoman showed me other hybrid mattresses but didn't ask about my price range. Of course, she was showing me the more expensive mattresses. Once we talked price range, she showed me the discount mattresses at the back of the store. She ended up putting together a package deal with some good discounts. Mattress Firm advertises same day delivery, but I purchased the mattress on a Sunday early afternoon and the earliest delivery was Tuesday evening. The bed was delivered more than 30 minutes after the 3-hour window that I agreed on. But the deliverymen were kind and professional and wore booties to keep my floors clean. My big complaint is that I am very unsatisfied with the mattress itself. The first night I slept on it, I woke up sore all over. Unfortunately, I guess you get what you pay for, and apparently $750 isn't enough for a quality mattress. And although Mattress Firm does do returns, there is a $150 fee, and the return has to be at least 30 days but no more than 120 days after your purchase. So I'm stuck sleeping on an uncomfortable mattress for a couple more weeks before I absorb the $150 fee to return it. I would be much much happier if there wasn't such a hefty return fee. read more

So, I purchased two queen sized mattresses. The salesperson failed to let me know that they do not haul away damaged mattresses after I specifically asked. What mattress is not damaged after ten years? Nevertheless, the two delivery guys refused to haul it off unless I paid them twenty dollars.
